(LOL) Tonight I am trying a new salmon recipe that I found on a Walmart display postcard...if its good I will share it. OMW, it's 40 degrees ...are you going to walk outside today? Maybe I'll do the same...I hope your DD feels better and is back in school. Gotta go....have a great day everyone. |

Pony, You have dropped 2 more pounds! You are doing fantastic!
I should have walked putside today but my DD had a dentist appt. afterschool and then I went out to dinner with a friend for her birthday. Let's just say tomorrow will be a better diet day for me. I did not make the best choice for dinner, but I did not clean my plate either. I am a little out of sorts right now. I am so happy with how far I have come but for some reason, right now I feel like I could start a binge that will last for a week. In my head I know that's a big mistake, but I am trying really hard to control the urge. I'm going to hit the treadmill tonight as soon as I am done here. Send me some willpower dust, hit me over the head, something!!!!! |
OnMyWay - Just wanted to let you know that you are not alone regarding the feeling of an impending binge. Over the years I have lost the same 20-30 lbs. more times than I can count. Unfortunately I appear to be in the pre-binge stage now; I'll just binge for the weekend, I hate working out, I LOVE and want cheese fries, being heavy isn't that bad. Thankfully these little discussions are all in my head.
The good news is I am aware of what is going on and the fact of the matter is a healthy lifestyle IS important to me and although I have weight loss goals that is NOT the #1 reason I made changes in my life. When I started my lifestyle change it was important for me to put as few restrictions as possible. I eat @ 1500 a day and there is NOTHING that is off limits; having said that a plate of Outback Cheese Fries has over 3000 calories and at this point not in the budget. Will I eat cheese fries in the future.... you betcha; however, it will be for a special occasion like celebrating my birthday with friends. Hang in there.... we can do this together. |
OMW - Cruise Cat's comments are right...hang in there, we can do this together. I have not been exercising like I need to this week either...the past 4 days have not been what they need to be....I am thinking I need to commit to AM exercise as opposed to PM when I am so much more tired. I really don't understand why I dropped 2 pounds this last week other than my eating has been good....sometimes the weight loss does not correlate like I think it should.
:dust: to us all!! |
Thanks ladies. I also look at this as a life change, not a diet. For some reason, I just feel more tempted than I have in the past few months. On a positive note, it was close to 70 here today. Took a nice walk outside afterschool. Salad for dinner, a good eating day. Thanks again for being there for me! I really appreciate your support!

Morning all
Talk about bingeing...
This week I ate chocholate, chocolate and more. Then I got a BOGO for a sunday at B&R and took DD over there last night. I didn't finish mine, it was sickening sweet, but man o man... some diet huh? Salad today and a nice hike at lunch, tonight the gym and tomorrow two classes in a row. A class on sunday and more hiking. The think about the binge, you just gotta work it off. My weight is not dropping, but I am getting so strong. Even my flabby arms aren't so wavey! ;-) I will weigh in tomorrow with probably a gain, but I am just glad that I work out to off set the damage. Maybe I am not losing weight, maybe it should just be called Damage Control. I'll take that. I can't imagine how I would feel or look if I did not work out. Keep it up all!~:o:hug: |
hey gals... talking about binging eh? im afraid to. im terrified of gettin up the next morning and see the scale go up. i know what kind of mood im in when the scale jumps and that what has kept me so far from binging. im miserable and my mind is on the scale all day when it goes even a 1/2 pound. even tho i know all about how the body works blah blah blah.. still doesnt make me feel like im doing anything right when it moves up... i just came back from my first outside walk in a very very long time.... i feel great... my legs are a little tingly lol but its a god feeling cuz at least i did something i set out to do. its the first day weve had where you could go out with just a sweater on. very sweet indeed lol... well now i think i'll order pizza :lol3: just teasin... have a great night ladies...

Weigh in today. Up 1 pound. I deserve it but am back on track to take care of it. Could have been alot worse. Up early and walked 3 miles outside. Temps in the 70's here so I'm taking advantage of the time outside. Who knows, we will probably have snow again soon! Have a great weekend!
You gals are the best! |
Good going OMW...up early and a 3 mile walk....good job! I am up one pound today too! I plan to do 1 1/2 hours on the Wii today. I think I am a little burned out with the treadmill stuff and need to go back to a variety for a bit.
We went bowling last night with some friends. We were all pretty bad bowlers (it had been 15 years for most of us) but we had fun and burned a few calories doing it. I made a great tortilla wrap for lunch with smoked turkey, dried cranberries, peppers, onions, and a little jalopeno jelly. Was it ever good....a homemade what's in the refrigerator combo. We are going out to eat tonight and I am trying to eat light ahead of time. Better go get some Wii action. Lets make next week a good one friends!! |
Pony, the wrap sounds awesome! Hope you were able to do your 1 1/2 on the Wii. What is your routine? I usually hula hoop, step 2 or 3 times, jog and box. Then I play some balance games. Usually takes about 35 - 40 minutes. I have not done much in the way of strength with the Wii. Is it good?
Have a great rest of the weekend bff's. I'm cheering for you! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: |
Happy Sunday BFFs,
It is dreary, raining and cold today...I did get 70 minutes in on the Wii yesterday...I do the strength training first because I like it the least. It does work some muscles that I don't use, especially if I do the higher reps. Then I do the aerobics... both hulas, one run, both steps, boxing, and then the balance exercises. I try to always do one or two yogas as a cool down. My favorite one is the step aerobics...I am kinda getting tired of the same music. I wonder if one of the dancing Wii programs would be similar to the step aerobics? Has anyone tried them and liked them? I am looking forward to next week. I have two vacation days from work. Tuesday I am boarding a bus that will transport us for the day to Navy Pier, Chicago, garden show. I have never been to Navy Pier before. Friday our family is leaving to attend a Saturday morning maple syrup tapping, sugar house event. I am really looking forward to the new adventures but want to make good choices for food intakes while traveling....suggestions welcome!! |
Pony, your trips sound fun! Be sure to pack some low cal snacks. Try 100 calorie packs or granola bars. Be careful when ordering food out, you'll probably be doing lots of walking so you'll be burning calories! Wear you pedometer to see how many steps!
I'm also very bored with the step on Wii fit. I really wish there was a longer routine. Don't know about other dance games. I'd be curious to find out. Son brought his new girlfriend over for dinner tonight. Not a low calorie meal but I did good with portions. 4 day work week for me. Spring break starts Friday. No big plans, just catching up on stuff around the house and relaxing! Have a great week friends! |
Good evening BFFs,
I hope everyone had a productive day. My food choices were good ones and a busy work day put my steps above 10,000 for a change. DH and I watched a new show tonight called Castle. It was better than I thought it would be. The kids are healthy and busy, I am becoming more healthy, Spring is on the way, life is good. :) |
Pony, I watched Castle online afterschool today. I agree, better than I thought. I'll watch again next week.
Good eating for me today and 40 minutes on the bike while watching Biggest Loser tonight. Warm here today but supposed to be cold tomorrow. I still have this cold, 3 weeks and I can't seem to get rid of it. There is so much going around at school, I guess it could be worse. 2 more days and then I'm on spring break! Can't wait! Keep going girls! |
