:goodscale Weighed in today. Down 3!!:carrot::carrot::carrot: That's 5 in the last 2 weeks. Took me 6 weeks to lose the 5 before that, go figure!

I'm still fighting this cold. Did actually get some sleep last night. Busy weekend ahead, lots of running around to do. DD has birthday party, soccer game, girl scouts. Will try to fit in some exercise and need to get my house clean!

:coach: DMC, Pony is right. You have a lot less to lose than we do, it's only natural that it would be harder. You have been a huge inspiration with your dedication to exercising. You'll find what works.

Have a great weekend. Make good choices, relax, post when you can. Do something just for you!

Good Sunday Morning,

Holy buckets OMW....wonderful news!! Keep up the great work!

I went with a girlfriend yesterday to a horse dressage clinic. The snowstorm was bad but we went slow, had a fun time and learned lots too! Spring can not come fast enough so I can get back in the saddle.

I have not exercised the last two days. My eating has been good. Today and next week I need to crank up my exercise and go back to making my steps be over 10,000.

Stay motivated friends and keep posting! :carrot:  :cb: :broc:

Hope you had a great weekend Pony. How many horses do you have? It has been years since I have ridden a horse.

I have not been wearing my pedometer lately and really need to get back in the habit. I did spend some time doing Wii Fit this weekend and walked Saturday.

Went out to dinner tonight after my DD's soccer game. Went to a sports bar type place, had thin crust veggie pizza, I ordered very light on the cheese. Brought most of it home, it will be my dinner tomorrow also! I think it was my best choice calorie wise.

Will check in tomorrow! :carrot:

Ponytail 02-24-2009 09:40 AM

Good Tuesday Morning,

OMW I think a veggie pizza was a good choice...and even better, you brought the extra portion home instead of eating the whole thing like I am sure I used to do!

I was good yesterday on calories and exercise. I made 11,500 steps. I am doing this couch to 5K program on the treadmill and today I have my 5th semi-running workout...it really makes me sweat. The program calls for 3X a week sessions and on the other days I walk, Wii, or video.

My entire family likes to ride... we like to compete in reining and working cowhorse events. We usually have 8-10 horses on our farm all the time.

Keep on keepin on OMW...just think, you are 8 pounds away from 180ville and Spring is just around the corner. We started seed for 4 different kinds of tomatoes for our garden this morning. I wish everyone could have fresh tomatoes in the summer...do you raise or plant anything?

dmc2009 02-24-2009 05:13 PM

Hi All!

Pony, I am jealous you have horses!!! Lucky girl.
OMY, congrats, you are doing awesome!

I had company all weekend, but I didn't weigh, also don't think I have gained, well, maybe a pound, but thats it. But at least not gaining. I did go to the gym, both days. OMG... I did weights, 12 lbs. It killed me.

tonight I am doing low impact. At least I do that.

Okay, I am here, I am just not as active and as motivated as I should be!!!

I know I weight a little less, but you all are catching up fast! Now If I could just get on that train!
:hug::hug::hug:

Onmyway 02-24-2009 06:10 PM

DMC, Hang in there. You will figure out what works for you. Glad to hear you are still exercising regularly. Having company is hard and the fact that youstill worked out both days is terrific! 12lb weights - OUCH!

Pony, We grow tomatoes in our garden and I do herbs in the summer. I can taste the tomato mozzarella basil salad just thinking about it! Nothing beats a fresh tomato! Awesome job on the C25K. I'm seriously thinking about starting that. The summer is getting closer and I want to be at goal by then. We'll see....

Thanks for being my BFF's girls! Have a great evening!

Hello everybody,

Good to hear from all of you! I watched The Biggest Loser tonight only to discover it looks like I will need to watch tomorrow night too! I sometimes pick up a healthy tip that I will incorporate (like pounding chicken breasts between saran wrap for a quicker cook on the grill that results in moist and not dry chicken) It really seems to work.

I did the 5th workout on the C25K tonight and it was harder than before. I don't quite understand how the exact same workout can seem 2X harder than the last time you did the exact same workout. Hopefully the 6th (exact same) workout will be better than the 5th one was. ramble, ramble The mind/body must really fluctuate or vary due to sleep, or eating, or time of day to have the same workouts feel so different.

I want to get rid of this weight so bad. Later girlfriends....

Onmyway 02-25-2009 07:55 AM

Good morning DMC, Stacy and Pony! Any other BFF's out there? Hope you all have a great day today.

I started the C25K last night. We'll see. Pony, you inspire me to get going. I'll be chasing you!

Went after school to get a couple pairs of pants. My DD said mine were way too baggy! It was weird, I went to the plus out of habit. I actually had a 20 in my hands to take to the dressing room when I realized that wasn't my size anymore. Old habits are hard to break!

Have a happy Wednesday!

dreaminstacy67 02-25-2009 12:10 PM

omg OMW!! im sooooo happy for you getting out of the plus sizes!!!! i cant wait to join you huni!! congratulations!!! :carrot: <---- this carrot is dancing for you!!! lol

Hi guys,
Yes, I pound chicken breasts all the time. It makes them cook more evenly too, because all the same width! I love it. Makes them go farther too. Makes a nice looking chicken strip when you are done and cut them up.

Yesterday, did really good on my calories, under 1400 but today, I am up to 1500 already, will go over a bit, but not too much I hope. Had a breakfast meeting and a luncheon today, that is hard.

Back to it, good job everyone. OMY... you ROCK!

Ponytail 02-25-2009 06:46 PM

Hey gals,

Wow, out of the plus section and goodbye baggy pants. Woo Hoo OMW!!!! Celebration! Good luck on the C25K! I reread the first page and was glad to see that I can stay at week 2 a while longer before progressing to week 3 and still be following the program. Not sure if I'll ever turn into a true runner but I know it won't hurt trying!

DMC and Stacy - how did today go? Are you sticking to a program? How is the cardio blast thing going DMC? What do you do for exercise Stacy?

Tonight we are trying a new recipe....haddock fish with an apricot sauce, and asparagus. I found a new kind of ice cream at the store this weekend, strawberry, and only 70 calories per serving. Have you guys tried it?

We have 2 days left this week, what are you going to do to help stay on plan the next 2 days? Me - C25K workout #6 tomorrow and Tae Bo (sp?) video on Friday, eat correctly, read/complete another exercise out of my book. Best wishes ladies....persevere, persevere, persevere! :ebike:

dreaminstacy67 02-25-2009 07:51 PM

Hi Chicks!

Here is a recipe for my new favorite snack!
1 can black beans - drained
1 can corn - drained
1 onion- chopped
1 can chopped tomatoes and green chilies (like rotel)
fresh cilantro

Mix together and serve with Trader Joes baked blue tortilla chips. Yummy!

Had a pretty good day today. It was warm here so it was nice to be outside.

DMC, sounds like you are getting back on track. You can do it!

Pony, your dinner sounds great! What is the brand of ice cream? 70 calories, sounds good to me! Did your ticker move another pound? I think so, way to go!!!

Stacy, Keep going, you are off to a great start!

Had to DVR Biggest Loser tonight, went to church for Ash Wednesday instead. Now that DH has fallen asleep, I'm going to watch it! I'll check in tomorrow.

We are getting close to our 500th post and I think that will close this thread. If that happens we need to be sure to start another BFF thread. Okay?

dmc2009 02-26-2009 02:08 PM

Hi All,

I am trying to get back on track! But the world seems to be against me now. Yesterday lots of food everywhere, but today I am going to the store and ignoring the free food in the lunch room! Yikes!

Body blasts classes are my FAVORITE Pony! Love them. Off tomorrow, so I am going to the 10:30. I am back on track with writing down my food and its helping. I was going to bring in Two Fajitas today for lunch until I realized how many calories. So having one and then a salad I am buying from store.

Its hard, but I am back. I am hungry now, but I can wait 30 minutes until I go to the store. I am gonna have a drink of water, see if it helps.

Back on track and will post more later.

Good job all!
