Hello, all! You may have seen my other thread, but I'm new here. I just wanted to stop in and say hello.

Kimpossible - I got married last October and not that I want to tell you not to lose weight, but you can be a beautiful bride no matter what your size is. I know I was!

You guys are fast, I was afraid I was going to miss this thread entirely!

Ammi - I've always been a walker. I have no problem walking miles and miles, given enough time and that there aren't lots of inclines. I had also done some hiking but when I started dating my boyfriend, we geared it up on the hiking. At first, I had a lot of trouble doing hills and sometimes I couldn't even finish a hike. My BF has been very understanding and would tell me we only need to go as far as I want to go. So I've been building up distance as well as difficulty. The hardest hike I've been on so far was a 3 mile hike that had a 740 ft elevation rise in the first 1/2 mile. To give a sense of perspective, that is basically the same as climbing 74 flights of stairs. It was hard but I can't tell you how proud I was to do it. It really does take a lot of practice and building up but I like it because I can go outdoors. As for my pic, it is almost 2 years old (yikes) and about 30 lbs heavier than I am now. I guess I do need a new one.

Girls, I have to tell you. I feel energized. Yesterday, I totally kicked butt with exercise. I did 15 minutes of yoga as soon as I woke up, then 30 minutes of upper body weights after that. After work, I came home and did 30 minutes of cardio kick boxing and then I did 40 minutes of yoga before bed. I wish I had enough time and energy every day to be like that. Plus! Last night was the first night in over a week that I slept normally. I guess the answer is I need exercise.
