I did walk outside for 30min last PM. This was my first attempt at any form of exercise for almost 3 months. I woke up bright and early yesterday and took the dogs for a walk. Today I walked on the treadmill (but in different shoes, which gave me a blister) and did abs/back. Total for me: 63 minutes. Group total ~ 738 + 63 = 801 minutes! |
I did 40 minutes of strength training this evening.

Kayley, I agree... it is nice to be able to make exercise FUN!!! I've been having a great time with my water aerobics and making up new exercises and stuff. I did so much with my new water weights yesterday that my arms are a bit sore, but not all that much as I have been doing a lot of exercises lately. |

I did 30 minutes at Curves this a.m., then spent the rest of a lovely day (rain? What rain?) at the barn with the horses, including walking out in the pasture, so I'll give myself another 30 for that. I was out there for about 6 hours and got a lot of extra steps in while I puttered about, but it was mostly low key, so 30 mins actual credit is fine. Sigh... what a lovely day!

Angela -- I hear ya about feeling better with exercise. I didn't intend to do this, but I think I've exercised in some way shape or form every day since May 25th! Granted, many days, it's just walking the dogs 15 min or ab and back exercises, but STILL, that is NOT the "old" me at all. I still don't always want to exercise, and sometimes I fight with myself to just DO it but I do have so much energy and feel so much better!
Yesterday, hubby and I lifted at the gym and then walked walked at a mall. I'm only counting a bit of that, though.... 40 min total Group total ~ 1597 + 40 = 1637 min Today we may ride bikes or some such... have a great 4th, Americans! |

My goal is 1000 mins again this month - I missed it by 80 mins last month, and we are going on vacation, but I want to try. SO - to date - 170 mins - we went to a local botanical garden today, and went for a hike, then we went for a swim, and I did my usual yesterday, only long. So, let's see how it goes.
