Hey guys!

Sorry about not being around for the past little while. I have been so busy and sick and busy The Relay was last night. Our team got an honorable mention as the 3rd highest team in donations/fundraising. We raised $6752.82. It was awesome! It rained too which kinda put a damper on things (no pun intended ) Anyways, now I am once more sick and have no voice today at all. I am sure DH will be thrilled when he wakes up.

SO due to stress, sickness, all the other icky things in life, of course went back off plan. Once more, I am climbing back on. I figure today was a great day to start as this is now stress free and lots of time to focus on ME.

Vilandra ~ welcome to 3fc! Looking forward to getting to know you!

Elaine~ way to go on losing 2.4lbs!!

Shel ~ Glad you changed your name

Crock ~ I enjoyed reading your "Because that is my life now" statement. Amen sister!! I needed that this morning to help me get back on track!

Mel~ Great going on the willpower. Mine seems to have been lost lately. Way to go on losing 3lbs too!!

Sharon ~ Sorry to hear you have been sick. I'm not feeling too swift again too.

JTammy~ Welcome! You have had some amazing results! Looking forward to hearing your secrets and wisdom!

Annie~ That is awesome that you are doing so well! WTG on losing 3 more lbs! You are doing marvelous darling!

ok I am out of here! Got to save my voice for hubby
I'll be around more now! That is a promise

Just a quick post to say I gained 1 pound at my weigh in this morning. I wasn't sure what to expect but after the weigh in and really thinking about what I did (and didn't do) I really should have expected a gain. I was OP maybe 3 days last week and did not exercise as much as I had been.

Like a couple of others have mentioned, I need to BUCKLE DOWN and do the plan. I keep trying to remember the lady in my WW meeting who lost 157 pounds. The leader asked her to say a few words and pretty much all she said was, "Well, I didn't do anything special. I just followed the program." Simple as that. If you do it, you lose. Now I just need to get that through my thick skull!

Have a great weekend everyone.

Where is everyone??????????????? I am still not totally 'well' but have had a vegie burger & salad with a can of cold beer (ooops!!! ) it's so hot here, that's my excuse!!!! I also had a slice of toast for breakfast. Tomorrow I'm back OP as I should be feeling better, I've not done much housework today or Friday, I'm still really tired. I will bath the boys, strip & make their beds, watch Dr. Who with them (unless it gets scary!!! which it can do!!) and then veg out when they're asleep.
Zelma, you are so kind, I really hope you get to go into the 'Slimmer of the Year' comp, even win!!! What's the prize & do you get to go to a grand finale with a posh meal & presentation if you get into the finals????? You are so good to your student teachers, lots of my friends were treated like dirt by their mentor teachers, (me included) having to clean up toilets!!!! not being trusted to teach, even for a short while!!!! It shows how confident you are in your own teaching that you are happy to let your student run things.
Brenda, sorry you have been ill too, I hope you get better soon and feel a bit perkier, it's cr*p feeling tired & run down.
Brittini glad you've nailed that 2lbs , it's amazing that sometimes once we pass a certain number things seem to get easier, I hope it's true for you.
Well I'm done now, worn out, hot & drained so I'll wish you all a good week-end; what's left of it; and say,, bye.

I feel bad that I haven't been posting much. Sorry about that. Things just keep coming up.

Kayley - It sounds like your alternator died. That shouldn't be too expensive to fix. $200 - $300 I would think.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Voodoo1 – Thank you… There was a time where I was concerned if I was heading into the right area. I have a degree in Computer Graphics, and wanted to go into Marketing, but when I got laid off, I decide maybe I would try teaching it. Then when I got into all the classes, and the observations… I became concerned that I was going down the wrong path. I’m really enjoying the field and I thank God for leading me the job that I have now. If it were not for this job, I think I would still be concerned about my path.

Dogpal – I think it was a good kind of sad though… I have some good news tho… read below. Congrats on the 3lbs gone!!

Zelma – I really wish I could do my student teaching at the school that I currently work at, unfortunately, for student teaching it has to be a self contained class (basically teaches all subjects). The school I work at has a 6th grade, but it’s just core subjects (Math & Science). They would allow me to do my student internship there, but I really don’t want to do that cause the program takes longer. I’m at such a rock and hard place. I want to but I don’t want to… I’m just really really concerned that I might freak out I don’t know any other way to explain it. The principal at my school has been really supportive, so I may speak with him about my options. Just so many things to think of, it’s a bit stressful hehehe

I wanted to let everyone know that I had a great time at the staff Luncheon my work had on Friday. I did very good with eating too. They had all kinds of ribs and chicken… bbq galore. I had a large salad, biscuit, a chicken leg and a rather large slice of watermelon They gave out awards to the staff members that were there… I got a role model pin *sniffle* I also got a cross pen with my name engraved on it from my boss for my graduation gift… then we all went out for drinks afterwards hehehhe. It was great!

I want everyone to know… that I cheated this past weekend. I couldn’t wait for weigh in day tomorrow (Sunday). I weighed in this morning and I’m at *dramatic music playing* 338lbs! Can you say HOLY COW?! That’s another 5lbs! I haven’t been counting calories for the last 2 weeks because I’ve been so busy to even remember how to spell my name but I have watched my portions and what I ate. But with all the landscaping, I think it’s been really helping! Not to mention drinking a crap load of water and running from the diet dr. pepper *grin*

I also wanted to say this… the teacher who won the diet club (there were two of them so they split the winning money). She got 95 bucks! WOW! It’s okie though, I wasn’t in it for the motive, I was in it for the motivation. Boy was it a good motivator! What I wanted to say tho is, she’s now having bathroom issues, and I think it’s because she pretty much starved herself the whole 6 weeks. I didn’t want to say anything though. I just wish she had went about the whole weight loss process in a more healthier way.

Alrighty ladies, I gotta run. I have to get back to working on my Essay for my finals.

Take care everyone!

Villandra: Good luck Tuesday on the weigh in.

Wyllen: Hi and just wanted to say I am still exercising but I have decided to post once a week at the end of the week. I am keeping track of my minutes but it will be easier for me that way. Hope that is ok.

Dogpal - Thanks for the good luck wishes - it's greatly appreciated! And I might need the luck, lol!

So, I went swimming again - another 2 hours in the pool, it was fun! (Except for the water I can't get out of my ear - GRRR!!) It's a good way for me to stay active, cause I don't think I'm still at all during those 2 hours, lol. I think I am going to do one of the water aerobics classes to try them out - although I wanna wait until my fiance has a day off on a class day so he can go to the first one too - then maybe I won't feel so alone and spazzy, lol!!

I'm going to check my weight tomorrow morning (well, it's after midnight but I say tomorrow still), and see if I stayed on the right track so far. (And if it's higher than expected I won't dwell on it, I'll just be more careful ) After that I got Tuesday weigh-in!

...And then I got my follow up DR's appt. on Wenesday! I'm nervous about that...I got 18 tests done on my blood to check my health (cholesterol, B12, Sodium, Blood Sugar, etc) I'm not worried about cholesterol too much cause a while ago my old DR said it was *perfect* and I've been tracking it in my foods and I barely hit at 1/3 of the max. rec. intake....but all the other things, I dunno...I'm eating good, and about as fresh as I can afford, lol, so we will see. I'll probably post my results just to vent them.

Anyways, have a good one ladies (and some gents )!!

Melissa W.
