Lori - I'm so glad to see you back! What a sad thing you are facing and dealing with. It's huge challange and I can only send you many hugs and prayers. Sorry I haven't sent any postcards in the last two weeks to your dear Miss A. With the end of the school year approaching rapidly, I better get a few more out or miss the chance!
MariaLucia - <hugs> on your breakup heartache. It doesn't go away quickly, but I appreciated what you passed on from your counselor about the difference in alone & abandoned. Regarding the achy joint question, I had a friend with arthritis and spinal pain that was getting so severe that the Doctor finally refused to increase her pain meds , she was taking so much. She did some research on her own and discovered that 4 major foods (all considered to be nightshade plants I THINK was the term) that contribute to the inflamation that causes joint pain. Tomatoes, white potatoes (sweet potatoes are fine) eggplant and green peppers. She stopped eating those foods and by the end of that year she had first reduced and then eliminated ALL her pain meds. She tells me it takes weeks or even months as the stuff works out of your system. Once she got "clean" so to speak, she can cheat a LITTLE, like mashed pots at Thanksgiving, but if she were to eat potatoes 4 days in a row, by the next week she'd be hurting and it would take a couple weeks to stop again. She's about 60 and swears by this. She says you can look up "nightshade plants" on the net.
Julee, no matter what the bridesmaid count is, you are going to be a gorgous bride, the loveliest thing that man has ever seen, and it will be an awesome day! I vote with the 2 truly dear friends instead of 6 snots. It's really too bad your long distance GF can't make it.
Dogpal - I love your dog pals! Great new avatar!
Everyone - sorry I don't have any more time for personals, although I'd really like to!
