Way to go Dogpal! You joined Curves? In a new neighborhood, maybe you'll even meet new friends there... That's where I found my new Real Estate agent
FANTASTIC the way everybody is going at it. I'm so pumped up from reading all the great efforts that I'm going to go strut around the truckstop as soon as I get off-line... I just hope I don't get into any, you know... "trouble"
I started off great, but have been slacking, so I better get with the program!!! I really miss being able to get on and chat with you ladies!!!
Goal: 400 min walking / Walking to date: 27 minutes SOOOOO... do I add 27 min to the 1098 goal so far for 300+ total of 1125 ?
Additional exercise: 45 minutes at Curves ( I did 3 circuits at the Curves in West Valley near SLC, Utah.)
Well, you guys raised the bar for me, so I did it - went walking last night for another 25 minutes... unusual for me, but I started feeling sick/queazy/wobbly while I was walking, so I headed back for the truck earlier than I had planned. Any way, I got to log:
25 min + 1125 for a total on 300+ of 1150 so far... Keep up the great work everybody!!!
I want to join the club too! My December goal is 1300 minutes: 45 minutes of cardio + a 5 minute cool down 4x/week and twice a week strength training at 50 minutes or so per session.
So far, I'm at 220 minutes:
December 1 (Tokyo time): 50 minutes treadmill
December 2 (Tokyo time): 50 minutes treadmill
December 4 (Oregon time): 50 minutes strength training + 50 minutes on the evil stairmaster (the one where the stairs go round and round -- it's hard!)
Total so far this month: 200 minutes
Adding to the 1190 in the previous thread ==> we're up to 1390 minutes so far here!
elmay -- how did you like japan? Had you been there before?
OT WARNING: This has nothing to do with exercise
Japan is an interesting place. I manage engineers for a high tech company -- about 1/3 of my group works in Tokyo -- the rest work in Beaverton, Oregon. I had never been to Japan before I joined my current company in September 2003. Last week was my 11th trip to Tokyo.
I have managed engineers remotely before -- it's nice to be able to meet so often face to face -- it really makes it easier to work together -- especially in "high context cultures" like Japanese culture. On the other hand, I'm not especially fond of business travel, especially when it involves 10+ hr plane rides. But, it's part of the job and for the most part, I really like my job. I just want teleporter technology or full-immersion virtual reality .
