Hi all! I've been busy at home all day. Trying to get some laundry done, several reports and then out to the post office. I tried to go vote in the school board election but it seems they've moved my polling place.....again! Argh!!!! I guess I'll have to do it on my way out to dinner.

Honey and I have a steakhouse job for dinner tonight. Then I'm off to a friend's to pick up a couple of outfits and hope that one will fit for this weekend. Honey's company is having a millionaire's party on Saturday, "semi-formal". YIKES! I ordered 2 dresses in 2 different sizes from Roamans and they arrived yesterday and nothing fit. I ordered a couple of other dresses online but 1. I don't know if they'll arrive in time and 2. who knows if they'll fit. *sigh* It's the pitts being fat. Some days I'm ok with it, then there are other occasions when I think "dang it, what are you waiting for, drop this weight."

Terri: Your BBQ at the barn sounds lovely. I'm sooo jealous of your country living.

Angela: Again, I'm sorry that you've been through all this. [[[hugs]]] I'm glad you found somewhere to "spill". Don't forget we're all here for you if you need us.

Iwillbe: Are you "doing it"??? I'd love to be proven wrong!!!

Dogpal: Just hang in there. We'll help you all we can. [[[hugs]]] Sometimes it just helps to know there are others out there that are going through or have gone through some of the same issues.

2cute: Glad you're getting something done today too. I've actually gotten a bit done and I'm looking forward to a leisurely dinner with Honey tonight.

theotherjen: You're doing GREAT! You've got almost 30 pounds gone! woohoo!

Lilion: I envy your vegetable garden plans. We had a nice garden when we were in NC, but here I just concentrate on some flowers.

futurediva: If your clothes are getting looser, I'm guessing your losing pounds too. Good luck with the WI (not Wisconsin).

Audrey: It's great when behaviors kick in as "habits". It's a good feeling. Keep up the good work.

shadiepurple and Kechara: Welcome to our little corner. Post often so we can get to know you and you us.

Catherine: Great tips. Thanks!!!

We've had a bunch of new folks checking in lately. Please feel free to stop in at the Bio Thread and post a biography. If there are any questions you're not comfortable answering, just skip them.

Ok, I'm outta here. Honey called and said he's on his way. We're meeting at the restaurant because it's on the other side of town.

See you all later. Love ya bunches!!!

Default Welcome to the new people

Welcome shadiepurple - you did just fine in making the entry. You will find this is a lovely bunch of ladies, all committed to making change in their lives. If you haven't decided what plan to follow, why don't you concentrate on making just one change in your life this week? (Just a suggestion.) Eg: drink at least 8 glasses of water every day, or start an exercise that you think you might like, any little change really, as long as you think you can keep it up for at least a week

Hi KecharaEQ - welcome to the group! Sounds like you are on your way to success - tracking what you are eating, and drinking lots of water. Have you thought about what exercise you are going to start? Since it's getting warmer over there, maybe you could look at doing some water exercise considering you have arthritis problems. I have arthritis in my knees and hip and I found water exercise was the only thing I could do at first. We have an anti-arthritis campaign here in Australia that says "move it or lose it!" and it's very true. I feel so much better/more mobile when I can exercise.

Sorry for not welcoming dogpal, detroitlady, futurediva and all the other new-ish ladies .. I was sort of MIA for a while!

Akkkk! Lilion and Julee snuck in on me.

I'm almost done with my water for the day.

And I can't drink it plain. I like the flavored waters, either carbonated or not. Walmart has their brand of Crystal Lite on the go, the little packets. They're very good. They have a peach, raspberry and lemonade. All are very good.

Ok, now I'm caught up.
