My motivation is up right now. I'm not sure if it's in direct response to the accountablity thread, or with my wellness clinic sessions, or both, but the scale is going down again for the first time sinc we got back from Spring Fling. I'm down 5 pounds. Yes I realize that 4 of those are the same ones I've lost and found many times, but one of them is new! Now if I can only keep it up while we are on our vacation/business trip. We will be leaving on Tuesday or Wednesday and will be gone almost 2 weeks. My wellness coach made me a copy of the hypnosis CD that I can take with me and listen to while we are gone. Yesterday we went to Sam's and bought healthy snack to take with us instead of cookies and candy bars and chips to eat in the car. We also stocked up on the "diet" drinks we like.

Nothing much else is going on right now, my mom and sister and her family are in South Padre Island this week, Hope they are having a good time.

Talking

Good morning to all you fabulous, beautiful women!

Kat - I made fried green tomatoes last summer - actually following the recipe that they used in the movie/book - and they were yummy !

Well, yesterday my Thankful Thursday turned into the day from ****! The kids were crabby, so then I ended up being crabby, one of my moms was a snot and I went downstairs to lay one of the babies down for a nap and the room smelled like an OUTHOUSE! - the switch in the lift station for our septic tank burned out and all that gross, disgusting, yucky, nasty water overflowed into my son's room! . It was sooooooo nasty! I closed daycare for yesterday and today and dh came home from work early to help me clean up. Of course we had to rip the carpet out of Isaac's room - no cleaning that! Thank goodness that's the only room it got in, other than the utility room, but that's not finished so no big deal. Needless to say, my afternoon was spent BLEACHING everything!!!! I don't think there's anything more disgusting than that. I was so grossed out (still am for that matter) that my skin was practically crawling - even after a shower! ICKY! And, I have to say it - I had a crappy day - literally - yesterday .

But, today is a new day and it's Fun Friday. We are leaving this afternoon - just dh and I - for a weekend trip to Duluth. I'm looking forward to it - especially after yesterday.

Food has been really, really bad this week. I don't even want to step on the scale on Sunday - but I know that I will. Looking at the numbers hopefully will give me a little more motivation.

Thin - I sure hope you are feeling better. Those colds can be so nasty.

Terri - that salad sounds great - I always need a way to get in the veggies

Kit - I TOTALLY know where you are with the grouding! When I ground my girls it's so bad that sometimes I would rather ground myself to my room - FOREVER!

Scooter - with the treadmill. I need to get something like that, but finding the time to do it and the space - that's another thing .

If I've missed anyone, I'm ever so sorry. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. It's going to be sunny and beautiful up north, so I'm excited about that. I'll be back on Monday!

to everyone!

Howdy One and All....

I am still doing good, not great on the food issues...Praise be I am still under 300 ..that is pretty durn exciting to me....now if it were under 200 I would be dancing in the streets....lol

For those inquiring minds I am still communicating with the Texas man every day....and usually hear from him several times a day....He is in Alabama right now visiting his son....Nothing interesting going on other than a special friendship...We are both very "wary" Have never had a relationship quite like this one! Oh Lord Have Mercy! lol

My daughter and son in law are in the process of raising Russian Blue Cats as a side line business...Tomorrow they are picking up one of their breeders at the Kansas City airport. The cat is being flown in from Texas. So I am getting dropped off at my friend, Cissy's, to visit her...it is on the way..we will be able to visit several hours ...that will be nice...we have been good friends for over 30 years...

Well, I have to go and once again didn't have time to respond to individual posts...I have an 11:00 appointment and here it is already quarter to......toodle doooooooooo

Have a super wonderful day and weekend one and all...Love you ....

BarbG...It sounds like you are focused and on the right track...good for you! I'm sure your wellness clinic has something to do with getting you back on track! for the 5# off!

Lisa... Good grief...You DID have a crappy day! I hope today is better! Could it be any worse??

Thin...Have fun with Mom today! I hope you're feeling better.

Scooter...Good luck and have fun with your new toy!

...annoying kid bothering me here...time to move on. I'll be back...
