Oh Mary...THAT'S not what I meant! What I meant was it sounded completely false on Tom Hanks. I think that, combined with the character's over the top persona, just make him seem so unbelievable.

I LOVED T.H. as Forrest Gump, so it's not the Southern accent I have a problem with...

Have you heard a Joizey accent lately?

We all talk funny! When we finally ALL get together, it's going to be like a Tower of Babel!

Good Morning ladies.

Talk about accents... I have a hillbilly accent too.
My sister moved to Detroit many many years ago..( I still lived at home)
Anyway... we would tape letters to each other on an old fashion tape recorder.
My sister would play mine to her friends and they would all sit and laugh at how funny I sounded. It really hurt my feelings as a child .. but now I laugh at myself too. LOL
I never thought I sounded all that hillbilly... because I say "you all" instead of "ya'll" "... but others hear ya'll. I correct myself all the time back to "all of you". LOL I love "hearing" those accents from all over even in here.
Kat I understand completely what you meant. Tom Hanks is playing a role that emphasises a total character not just an accent.

Okay... my daughter just got up so I better go visit with her before I have to head back to my home and the "real world". LOL She has to be back to work by noon. My little mini vacation is over.

I just posted and it disappeared! That sucks!

Sorry I can't post on the weekends. I feel like I've missed out a lot when I come back on Monday's. I don't have a computer at home so work is my only computer time.

My son is sick and I'm feeling not so great myself. I've only slept a total of 4 hours the last two nights combined so I'm dragging here at work today. I didn't want to come in but someone else is sick and since I'm the boss I couldn't be gone too. I wanted to stay home and sleep but I guess that wasn't meant to be.

I'm still very determined in my weight loss and lost 2 more lbs last week. My current stats are in my signature below. I'm stunned that I've found my will power and determination again but I'm glad after so many false starts last year that it's finally working for me again. 34 down, atleast 116 to go.

Thanks to everyone for their honest opinions regarding my man situation. I really appreciate the feedback.

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. I'll be back later to write more.
