embarrassed to be starting over, back again
I have been mostly lurking because I am embarrassed to have regained (plus gained more) and be starting over after so many months gone from the site/forum (and accountability)
another failed attempt ... sigh
but I know that I won't ever reach my goal unless I stand up and say "ok, that's what happened, now here is where i am going from now on ... "
so I'm gonna get being embarrassed over with, - I really count on the support from the threads and people here, who understand and give helpful advice because they have been there
hello again everyone and hi to all the people i haven't met yet!

Welcome back!!
Ok, so it was a failed attempt but you know what the most important part is to me? You are back here and ready to start again. Always get back on track after whatever and don't ever, ever give up, EVER!

I came back too... The important thing is that you came back because you know that you need the support. I know it's why I'm here again. We'll be okay!

I lost 68 lbs in 2007 and gained it all back slowly over the next 4 years. Then last spring I had a work-related injury to my back and I gained another nearly 20 lbs because I was laid up for so long.
We all have to start somewhere. Hang in there, you can do it.
I used to be so so soooo discouraged that I had gained it all back plus some extra. But now that I'm taking the right steps to get it off I feel like, hey, I did it once and I can do it again! And with my WW I definitely feel like I know the ropes this time around. Everyone is different but I've learned what works for me.
Don't feel bad you relapsed. Feel good you've had success before and you know you can do it again! Afterall, the best way to predict someone's performance is by looking at their past performance. And this time you aren't a dieting/fitness Rookie, this time you are a veteran just back for one more battle. And if you are like me you learned your lesson so you won't find yourself in this situation again.

You know what they say, fall down seven times, stand up eight. Don't be embarrassed, we are only human and you should give yourself credit for being here now

I know exactly how you feel but all we can do is keep going and take it one day at a time. Each successful day makes it a little easier. Keep up the good work.

newjourney2012 - I get where you are coming from, i totally avoided the scale when i regained, was very surprised at a dr visit to be close to 350! I am at the same place with my 26 pants, i can get them on but when i sit down my eyes bug out - embarrassing story - went to a movie with family and back was hurting because of the to tight pants so i unbuttoned, during film zipper worked its way down, and i forgot so when i stood up the pants slid down ! and whats worse, i was standing there next to my 11 yr old daughter and rows of people turned to stare - i swear they must have thought i was some kind of perv!!
martini and howie6267 - thank you, you are both inspirations as well

newjourney, i was there for awhile too! I lurked forever before i was ready to try again
don't feel bad! when you are ready you will know it . trying to force it before you are there will only make you frustrated, i know.
if you want to do something, start small, its just to make you feel better - maybe start a blog here on the site or try to drink more water or stretch - don't pressure yourself - just start thinking about your health and what you want! I added you to my buddy list if you ever want to chat when I'm on!

I love this quote. It's like you can't fail as long as you never give up.

Not gaining when you are going through a difficult time can be just as hard or harder to than losing when you are in the right mindset. Sometimes there is just too much else going on in your life and if you can maintain, that is a total victory.
