    to the 300+ exercise thread! We're making exercise a habit, giving ourselves some accountability, and getting healthier in the process!

    In this thread, we track the number of MINUTES we exercise for the month -- whether it's walking or swimming or sweaty housework! Most of us set goals for ourselves (I personally will not exercise much without a goal). If you are a goal-setter, early in the month set your own goal! If you're just getting started, feel free to start with a smaller number of minutes (I did!), maybe just a few hundred. It seems easier for many of us to build on the habit rather than meet a very high goal right away. However, you can also just jump right in without a goal, and you can join us anytime in the month!

    To keep track, just add your minutes to the existing group’s minutes. If you’re new, look at what other people are doing – it’s pretty easy to figure out! To help everyone keep things straight, please note the OLD minutes and the number of NEW minutes you are adding, such as
    Group total ~ 500 + 50 = 550 minutes.

  • Oops, looks like I forgot to post my goal here last week: 450 minutes. Since March 1:

    25 minutes walking
    10 minutes aerobics

    Group Total: 35 minutes
  • 120 minutes so far this month for me mainly walking.

    group total 120+35=155min

    personal 120/1000 (need to get moving more)
  • 120 minutes-aquafitness

    Group total 155 + 120=275
  • 60 minutes aquafitness

    Group Total-275 + 60= 335 minutes

    My total = 180 minutes
  • 60 minutes aquafitness + 30 minutes walking = 90 minutes

    Group Total = 335 + 90=425 minutes
  • Since last time I posted:

    60 minutes low impact aerobics (Personal Goal: 95/450)

    Group Total: 425 + 60 = 485
  • 30 minute walk

    Group Total: 485 + 30= 515
  • I keep track of miles instead of minutes, but generally I do a mile in 22 minutes at 2.7 mph when I walk on the treadmill. When I do the bike, I do 30 minute time spans.

    I have around 464 minutes so far this month.

    Group Total 515 + 464 = 979
  • 60 minutes of aquafitness. My total = 360

    Group Total: 979 + 60= 1,049
  • 30 minutes of walking. My total = 390

    Group Total: 1,049 + 30= 1,079
