Feeling pretty good. =)

It's late, but I'm getting off my bum right this moment to do some nighttime activity and get in my exercise for the day.

No excuses. No matter how rough the water gets, we're all in this boat!

ETA: Finished my exercising. Feels awesome to get it in for the day.

Day 35: Success!!! I'm not feeling the same level of control I was feeling a week or two ago, but I'm pleased to string together 2 good days.

Not only that, but a stressful thing happened at work, and instead of feeding it with food, I took a walk at lunch. That felt good.

Yesterday is a rap. My eating was good, but it rained on and off all day, so I just tried to stay busy in the house all day.

I had a good day calorie wise yesterday but still too high on carbs. I have banned white carbs for the week.
Exercise is still not happening because of the knee. I do see some yard work in my future this week. The garden and flowerbeds are showing my neglect. We are suppost to be having much cooler less humid weather for a few days. I heard them say high of only 80 tomorrow. I plan to be outside as much as possible.

Hi, boatmates, just checking in quickly. I need to get on the road, and I won't be checking in again likely until the end of the week.

I've had such bad back pain that I had to give myself a day off exercise yesterday, and I'm going to let myself do 10 or 15-minute units for the rest of this week. I think it's just TOM, but man, I haven't had back pain like this in a while, plus I know it's going to be next to impossible to get my 35-minute blocks while I'm with family. I've been doing okay on calories, and I'll be (gulp) estimating while I travel. But I've made a good salad to eat for lunch during my drive today, and I CAN DO IT. (I think the trick will be just not eating anything I don't think I can reliably estimate.)

Learn: Glad to see you seem to be feeling better!

Debbie: HUGS! Darn knee.

Lovely: Hang in there... cling to the lifeboat. I want to see you sitting right in the front when I get back!

Day #3 in the life boat! I didn't get to the gym today but once I got home after work and dinner I went for a nice hour walk. and literally the clouds opened up when I was one house away from my home! perfect timing. While I was walking I kept thinking, "Gee, this is waaaay better than sitting in front of the TV!" Just wondering what I'll do when there's a foot of snow on the ground and it's 10 degrees outside and I didn't get to the gym.....
And my food was good today. 3 down only 97 to go...

GGGirls - 117 grams of protein!??! Wow!!! you rock!

Heather - congrats on 2 days in a row! I bet you made it 3 today!

dgramie - did you get a chance to work in the flower beds? I bet that's relaxing.

Learning - holy cow you were up at 4:40AM?

Another POP day

Non-veggie eating person here ... I decided I wanted cucumbers and tomatoes. Then I saw some ripe avocados.. OMG! with ranch dressing, I was in heaven, until.....

About 3am... apparently I tooted and it stuck around in the covers until I moved. When I did, the smell just about peeled paint off the walls.. LOL! I had an ER potty run at 3:01am. The cat just gave me disgusted looks and the dogs watched me in admiration. I think I have found the triad of veggies that guarantee paint-peeling flatulence!!

Phew.. good thing I live alone (except the poor animals).

A rainy day yesterday, but still a good day. Ate great and kept busy doing housework. Weatherman is calling for the same today. Maybe I'll do windows (inside only).

Im still struggling with carbs. I will try again today to stay away from the evil ones.
real- no I didnt get to work in the flower beds. I was back to kids fulltime and wipedout by the time they left for the day. Hopefully this evening I can weed the beds and weedeat the garden.
angela- have a safe trip
rat- veggies can be hard on the tummy if your not use to them. Increase them slowly!! Your storytelling keeps me laughing as always!

Made it thru Day 36 fine. Tonight my challenge will be that we are having a bunch of hubby's colleagues for dinner AND he's serving cheesecake. I have to remember I want this more than cheesecake.

I am, and I will be!!! I know I'll be okay if I just don't have any. But even a nibble and I will want 3 pieces. Why do that to myself? Plus, it's good cheesecake, but not amazing cheesecake.
