Question Scales for 350+?

Hi guys!!

Last week was my first at the gym and I think I should probably get a scale to monitor my progress. (Novel idea, right? Haha.)

I searched on the board and couldn't find any definitive answers.. what's a good scale to get for someone over 350 lbs.? Where do you guys buy them?

Thanks! And apologies if this has been addressed elsewhere. (n00b.. )

I got a Taylor digital scale at Walmart for like $30. It has a weight limit of 440lbs. After a year it started being really erratic though and I ended up getting an old school Sunbeam analog model for $8 that has a weight limit of 330. I'd say try Target or Walmart, maybe even Amazon and shop around so you get what you want out of whatever scale you choose. Welcome to 3fc and good luck!

I bought my scale on amazon for like 40 bucks it goes up to 440lbs it's a talking scale so it tells you you're weight so you don't have to look down and distort the numbers on the scale. That's why I got rid of my old one because every time I looked down to see what my weight was the number would change. The talking scale seems to be pretty accurate as well.

i just bought a scale at canadian tire, (hardware store) and looked through them and found one that went up to 400lbs. I wasn't too picky, i just wanted a digital readout and its doing me allright. Just read the box before you buy and you should be good.

Walmart. Good luck on finding one. I found that once I bought my scale I was much more motivated to stick to my routine and diet and it really increased my productivity

Thanks for the replies, guys!! I went to Target this afternoon and got a Weight Watchers digital scale for around $25. Best part about it, it's pink striped (my favorite color!). Also, it's funny, because I stepped on it a few minutes ago and I'm actually not over 350 lbs. Haha. But I'm still glad I got it!
