You know what I have made three attempts at different times in my life to include my real father, stepmother, sisters and any parts of that side of my family. It always ends to be one sided me doing everything. I make the calls and Initate contact in other ways and I feel like I get a big load of cow poop dumped on me. Why do I feel I need these people in my life? My mom says I am just allowing myself to be victimized over and over again. I don't know what to do and can't understand why time and time again I do this.

I know what to do. Let it go. They obviously have no clue what they are missing having such a nice person in their lives. Their loss. Some people are just emotional vampires and they just suck the life out of you. Been there...done that. A waste of time and energy. I am sorry if that comes across as harsh. Its not meant to be anything but honest.

Red face Feeling...awkward.

Hi everyone =)

I'm feeling a tiny bit awkward here. I've been a member of 3FC before. (Different username) Lost a lot of weight. Gained most of it back. (No, I never considered it a diet, but if you stop tracking then surprise that's what happens.) Am digging my heals in and making this effort, again.

I like posting. I like reading. I like feeling connected. This time around... I guess I'm feeling a bit hesitant about plunging in to a spot and getting to know others. I was hoping maybe it's okay to start getting to know you folks?

I'm following the Weight Watchers Points Plus program. I do like it as a convenient place to track everything and try to keep my food balanced. In the past couple years my activity went from moderate to ZERO. And I mean zero since we can't count walking from my computer chair to the kitchen, and back. However for the past three weeks now I've been actually using my treadmill (shocking, right?) and going for five minute walks. It's not a lot, but I've been going every single day and working towards making getting on my treadmill part of my daily routine for no matter how long.

I should stop there as I can get long-winded without much provocation.

Anyway, I hope to get to know everyone better and this time to do small things every day to continue forward without excuses.

Thank you =)

Lynnie – It is so hard when family members are toxic for us. Maybe some time in the future you will have energy to deal with them, but don’t let them derail you.

Lovely – Welcome! Of course it’s ok that you post here. Getting back into things I also realized that this site and generally keeping connected was one of the keys to my previous success.

I finally went and saw the dietician today. It was ok, but not terribly illuminating. I suppose that is because I am already pretty informed on the subject of eating and weight loss. She did emphasize the importance of eating in the morning to keep blood sugar levels even throughout the day as much as possible. Other than that, she thought what I am eating is a bit too high in fat and that I could add a bit more carbs. However, things actually seem to be working for me after my panic and I’m not sure I want to change things too much if I am feeling good and losing. We’ll see. First step breakfast. Oh, and more weight training. That recommendation I could definitely agree with.

I am having one of those days where things just don’t seem to go right. Oh well, what can you do. Staying in bed wasn’t an option. I ran out of dry cat food and if I don’t pick some up tonight I am sure I will start getting my toes nibbled on.

Speaking of cats, here is a picture of mine!

Yes, they are a bit pudgy. They take after me like that.

Hi Real,
I think lots of us tend toward depression - maybe goes a bit hand in hand with our food issues, and how I (and I'm guessing most of us) use food to comfort ourselves?
I know when trying to lose weight my emotions seem to go up and down even more than usual....

Be well Real, don't work too hard, and this to shall pass....

Thanks for the welcomes!

Good afternoon everyone! Hope you're all having an on plan day =)

NotTheCheat - D'aw! What cute kitties =^.^= Have things been going better today?

Voodoo - Did you end up jumping off the and getting in that ?

MrsTee & Silentarctic -

This morning for me was nice. I woke up feeling weak today, and grumpy at the prospect of jumping on the treadmill right away. Had some breakfast first, watched the end of an episode of Supernatural that was on TV, and by that time I was awake enough that I couldn't use anything as an excuse for skipping out on a short stint on the treadmill.

So, no excuses. Got my bum up and took a walk.

Have a great afternoon everyone

Sharon – Sorry to hear you have been having a rough time.

Lovely – Yay for no excuses!

Last night wasn’t great because my Tuesday go to meal is gone. I go straight to a friend’s house from work on Tuesdays for a D&D game, and I have been stopping at Chipotle and picking up a salad. Unfortunately, the Chipotle I go to is right across the street from a school and it seems EVERYONE goes there after baseball games or something, because all of a sudden the lines are out the door. I was running late because I had issues getting the pet food (misread the closing time of a store on their website and had to go to another location). So, with the Chipotle option out I went to game hungry. I ended up eating pizza (just two slices, so not horrible) and a few corn chips. I just need a new action plan for next week.

Time to have a snack and then head to the gym. I hope everyone is having a great day.

It's good monring from Melbourne, so good evening to most of you!!!

Its rainy and cold here, good weather for Veggie soups! Going to make some with some stock I froze made from the Christmas ham bones and strained all the fat from. Its a great minestone base.

QUESTION - has anyone tried Weight Watchers Online?

NotTheCheat - I used to have a HEROES (similar to D&D) game with friends a few years back, and I remember using Subway as my go to meal. If something happened where I couldn't get my sub boy was I ever frazzled. I hope you're able to find something nearby and quick so you don't have to rely on what they order at game nights!

MrsTee - I'm using WW online right now actually. Though, I do have a card so I could go into a center at any point if I chose. I use the eTools to track all of my food and exercise, and to look up points for foods, etc.

I'm about to take a shower and head to bed. Have an annoyingly busy day for tomorrow as they're painting the parking lot at my apartments and so I have to be out of the house for a number of hours. Least I can get some chores done.

Have a great night, all!

Thanks Lovely! Hi to you too :-D

Nancy - Hope you had a good workout and find a good alternative supper before your D&D nights

MrsTee - I haven't tried it recently, I did try it a long time ago and to be honest I think it depends have you tried calorie counting on your own yet? I love love love Fitday if you are on a PC for that. Weight watchers was 'okay' but to me it was just like calorie counting in software like fitday. I didn't find it that special but thats just me, I love being able to completely customize, edit and loved even more not having to be online to do it. (my internet is super slow... )

sharon: hope you had a good fresh start.

A meh day for me, workout good, eating bad (seems to be a theme) let being social distract me from my goals. Oopsie. !

off to bed with me attempt three at getting up "earlier" have a busy night tomorrow night so we'll see how that goes.

Today is a very sad day for me. For three years I had a lavendar bush that was vibrant and made the front porch smell heavenly. Today I examined it because some of it was looking dead and found out the whole bush was dead. Now I am mourning the loss of it. Just like animals you get very attached to your baby plants. I am sad and I said a prayer.
