We ended up having 20 for the party. If I never see another piece of chocolate cake, that will be fine with me.

Hi all,

The yard is done and now it looks as if a normal person lives here and not some white trash hick! hehe.

Catherine, 20? Don't you have limited space? As in 300 sq ft on a day when doors and windows are opened? Cozy, eh? (that was my Canadian accent attempt).

I'm tired and sore from 2 days of necessary yard work. I have a 74 yr old house and it constantly needs maintenance. I have to paint the iron railings in the front, paint the porch ceiling, yadayadayada. The good thing is I got my vitamin D quota for the day, yay!

Hugs to all,
Ratkity

Hi all,

Just wanted to say hello and I am still alive. My day today was stupendous, all I can say is GOD IS GOOD!!

Toni,
YOur quilts are beautiful and you are doing so well with your weight. I am moving a little slow but is okay, up and down, but at least not where I started. I will keep on pushing.

Debi,
You just made my day even more special. Glad to hear from you, you and DH are still at the top of our prayer list. Glad to know he is eating right, now just keep him out of the garden so he can leave that nitro alone. Let us know of the test results, please. Hugs and love to you.

Cat,
I am with you, don't think I would want to see any choc cake, maybe not any cake. LOL You are a baking sensation.

Rat,
Slow down and get your Vitamin D in girl, LOL. You are doing great. Yay.
Had to wait yet again on ordering my Trike, almost 400.00 on tires, 89.00 front end alignment, 300.00 cracked windshield, gift from a passing dump truck and now gotta get it inspected, buy groceries and pay a few bills. I just thank God I money I money to take care of all these things. First things first, trike next!!!!

Gotta fly,
Hugs to all,
Ags

Hi all,

I am so flipping hungry tonight. This is an issue I have struggled with quite a bit lately. This makes me nervous since I have a whole week off of work. We have two company shutdowns per year, and this week is one of them. Very nice, because I am ready for some relaxation. But I am worried as well, because when I am without a plan, I do bad things like be lazy and snacky. My goal for the week it to get at least 10,000 steps per day. My weight loss for June was sad, and I don't want that to continue. The heat is making it hard for me to get the exercise in, and it's only going to get hotter. This coming Friday and Saturday we are going camping, so that will be fun and some exercise I hope.

Annie - Where are ya? I haven't seen you posting much lately.

Debbie - You have completely disappeared. Where are you? How is weight loss going? How is your Avon biz going? Come on back.

Carol - I see you have been having ridiculous heat. That stinks! I am glad to see you are continuing to plug along.

Catherine - Glad to hear your husband's birthday was successful.

Ags - Good to see you plugging along.

Rat - You are one of my weight loss and life coping heroes. It's interesting, I am strongly drawn to your posts. I hope you continue to do well. Keep posting.

Debi - I hope things go ok with your husband. They believe that they have figured out what is going on with my dad. The low blood sugars (he used to try to get them VERY low....he didn't consider something a low until he was around 60mg/mL) would drop so fast and it would cause atrial fibrillation. Now he is on meds and monitoring his blood sugar much more closely (he calls 80 mg/mL low now), so my hopes are his heart issues may be under control. I hope your husband's heart and health issues stabilize as well.

Well, I hope to post more this week since I will have more time free. I am pondering joining a gym just to be able to get into air conditioning to do the treadmill and such. We will see, while it's not expensive (about $9 per month), it feels out of my comfort zone. Darn comfort zones.

Have a good week all.

Angie

Hiya Ags, good to feel that energy of yours come thru the forum. Always a great thing! Sorry for all the car stuff. Yes, it's great to have a job when things are due. You'll get that trike cuz I though of you and it today while cruising around shopping.

Realist, $9 a month for a gym? That's a steal! Go for it. I belong to a gym, but rarely get there. Other things seem to get in the way. I was told once that I had to schedule time for it. I have yet to make it a high priority. I am always encouraged to read about other people who have incorporated exercise.

Hugs to all!
