(started with a neighbour) and today we headed down to the lakeshore to do our morning walk. It was a beautiful day out and when the sun came out it was actually a little warm. So I took my windbreaker off.... and I could tie it around my waist! Not sure if that's a NSV since it's not something I'd really tried before, but I suspect it's the first time I would have been able to do it.
Debbie - how nice is that, you're too fast for a walking program? I've started adding a little jogging into my morning walks, and it still kind of amazes me. Not so much the jogging, but that I'm willing to do it in public.

Our neighbour keeps asking about the new 'pets'. I think there are 6 kits, which is a lot. I'm hoping this doesn't mean that some don't make it. I understand that when we have hard winters (which we did) raccoons often have bigger litters to make up for those that may have died. If nothing else, I'm learning a lot about raccoons.
Cyn - it sounds like you haven't been well. Do take care of yourself... lots of protein and lots of water for healing yourself. Glad that hubby is home as well.
Candtlove - I have a treadmill that I use mainly in the winter, and I'm so glad I purchased it. I've discovered that I like to walk outside, but, there's no excuse when it's raining or too cold, etc. I think the fact that I've always walked a lot (even when heavier) has helped as I have strong, fit legs. The rest of me... ah, it's coming.
Carol - yay, on the kiwi. I was revamping the old kiwi bed yesterday. When the vines were in there it wasn't a problem, but now that it's a veggie patch the water all runs out because the curb stones were too low. I wish I'd kept my calories lower over the last few months, but the past is past. I'm really amazed how people don't get that eating too low can be just as detrimental in the long run. Good luck on your dress shopping.
Debi - so, how did the dress try on go? I don't know why, but I'm almost the opposite when people mention my weight loss. I'm uncomfortable with the attention. I'm glad that it made you feel good.
Bazz - please don't do any kind of dieting that will cause you to lose 14 pounds in two weeks. I know the desire to lose weight quickly can be strong, but rapid loss like that is likely going to be water weight and almost impossible to keep off. I completely understand the point about being busy with school (I'm back at college), but work on the food. At your age, the better eating habits is so important. If I knew at your age what I know now...
Torister - congrats on the compliments, and I always make sure that I get at least one day of rest. I truly believe your body needs it. Although as people around here may remember that's usually the day I cook, bake, can fruit, make jam, plant stuff, etc.
Annie - wow, your avatar picture is beautiful. It looks like you're still moving in on that final goal.
Well ladies, I think that's it for me. I've gone back to my 'notepad' posts, so I've been up and down a couple of times as I've been typing. Time to copy and paste and then go see what else I have to do.
Take care all!
