Hi everyone!!!!xxxxxx
Zelma I think my sis will be more careful about this guy than a lot of women, it's just the fact that she needs to put her kids & their feelings first. About the TOM/hormone stuff, I've been reading up on Black Cohosh, sounds good, I ordered some so I'll let you know if it helps. My Dr put me on the mini pill, you start it at start of TOM, which is difficult as I rarely get it anymore!!! Enjoy your holiday & WHEN ARE YOU PUUTING SOME PICS OF your US holiday on the pics page????!!!!!!xxxxxxxx
Jacqui, I'm sure your Dr has seen much worse, hey & at least you'll be clean!! Some people don't know what deodorant & soaps are for!!!!!xxxxxx
Cyn, I'm sorry you feel this way, I get feelings like it too. I HATE my house, as it needs so much work done & there's no cash, I get to hate everything & everyone!!! Have a warm bath, some wine, DARK chocolate or whatever makes you feel good, have a cry too if it helps.xxxxxxx
Annie I hear from Ammi, from time to time, her Sweets was bad & she kept getting UTIs she's having a bad time with her health & sleeping a lot, I miss 'chatting' to her. (They are both on FB if you want to check in on her)
Carol I hope Johnnie enjoys her trip out, she ought to start posting again now, I'm sure just the hugs & stuff she'l get from here will help her feel better.xxxxxxx
Catherine sorry about your mouth, I get that with cold sores, Blistex (or blisteze whatever it's called now) really helps heal & soothe any irritation around the mouth.xxxxx
Cd CONGRATS on the SMALL suit & smaller jeans.xxxxx
Ummm unning out of time, I have to go into town & pay bills & get a few fresh foods in PLUS catching up with housework. We went to see 3D Monsters vs Aliens yesterday AND an hour's fast walking up & down a nature trail. I wish we'd taken pics as it was a different trail & was very pretty, passing through woodland & several stream. My feet & odly hips are still sore!!lol

I do want to come out and play but things have been crazy. Easter went well but was very busy. Then Emily (5)woke up Monday morning all polka dotted. So now we have the chicken pox to contend with. Jacob is 8 and has not had it either. But DH has not had it either so now I have to call the doc so see what the best route to take to avoid him getting it. So now my week of exercise and bike riding with the kids is all tossed out as they will be home all week til the sores are crusted over and not congagious (sp)? Will try to do personals later. Must go scrub the oatmeal out of the tub.

Angie-I also have size 12-13 feet. When I lived in the US, I bought my shoes from Eastbay or Final Score (Eastbay's outlet). They have lots of team stuff, volleyball and basketball, and those girls are big and have big feet. I found volleyball shoes to make really good walking shoes because they are designed for high impact, which describes my walking to a T. I have high arches, and get plantar fasciitis without decent shoes. Last time I got it, it was 6 months of feeling like I was walking on broken glass, so new shoes are so much cheaper now to me. I basically wear men's sneakers now that I am across the border where the extra postage makes the discount of Eastbay moot.

All,

Just wanted to pop in briefly (I am at work) and say I got my blood work back from my Dr. Not only was by BP great and they said my heart sounded like I was getting good exercise, but my blood sugar was at 100. Less than a year ago it was nearing 125, which is diabetic. Since I have diabetes in the family, I was scared too death. Well, it looks like my hard work is paying off. I am now right on the cusp of being NORMAL. Yay!! All other blood work came back well also. And the nurse practitioner told me she couldn't ask for more effort, I was doing great. Yay!!!!

That's it.

Hey all! Sorry I haven't been here in a few weeks! It's been crazy, what with the end of the semester at hand, and a friend & I working hard to open up our own online shop...which will hopefully be up in the next few weeks.

My eating has been horrid, and I'm retaining a LOT of water. I don't even want to step on the scale. Heh.

Hi, germs must be getting around as I was up at 6am this morning cleaning vomit up after my middle son had been ill..... ICK. Why does it always make you feel sick after someone else has been throwing up? At least on the positive side I won't be eating lots today, lol!!!
I left a lot of washing out last night...it rained really bad last night....serves me right for being lazy! I'm off for a shower & then gotta tidy up. I took my boys shoping yesterday then to the park for a picnic so the housework suffered. Life's too short to stay in when the weather is decent, I'd rather watch my boys playing on the new swings, twirly things & other stuff (all new & fab) that's been put up there.
hugsxxx

Hey everyone...

Zelma - Yeah the PMS/PMDD is rough. I'm just hoping not to have the depression next month. *hopes* It really does interfere with your life when you feel like crap and can't seem to get over it! As for the pill. I do have a slight weight increase still, but the nausea is much much better. I'm on the light blue pills in my pack and so far they are causing a bit of pelvic cramping, but nothing I can't handle. As for a natural way to handle PMS, I got nothing. lol....oy...i'm sure there is something out there though. Hmmmm..maybe it is worth researching.

dogpal - Hiiii... well the dermatologist, i could barely understand as his accent was thick, was kind of a jerk. Gave me the runaround like everyone else who comes to these people with the same issues. Anyhow, I hope your week is going to be good! Sounds like you are keeping yourself busy busy!

voodoo1 - You're right. He told me not to be embarrassed, but I was like..um...I am lol. I'm super clean that is for sure, shower every day with multiple soapy washings! lol

*******

Well...taxes are bumming me out. Turns out my BF and I owe a lot and can't pay it so we have to do that payment plan thing. I've shelled out a lot to help out as much as possible, but hey when the IRS wants their cut, they want their cut. BLAH!

As for the doctor trips...yeah I got the runaround again. I was given a 60 day supply of antibiotics, told to keep washing with antibacterial soap, and "I see the scarring so yes it is HS. When you have a flare up you can take the antibiotics." So, basically he told me what I thought he would and this is what everyone hears. So, I took matters into my own hands and dove into researching what is going on with me.

I mean honestly, I can't be medicated for the rest of my life! And the thing is, the antibiotics barely work! Some people, they don't work at all. Washing with antibacterial soap and antibiotics are a bandaid for this and not even a good one at that. So, I dove back into reading and started to put two and two together.

I have a lot of things going on with me at the same time. From my scalp issues, to my allergies, to this HS crap, to eczema/psoriasis, to hormonal issues. They all flare up at the same time and what bothers me is that upon my reading HS is suspected as an Autoimmune Disease. Many people who are diagnosed with HS have a number of other issues and a certain percentage of them have the same issues as I do. So, I think this skin thing is a SYMPTOM of something going on internally. Meaning, my immune system is either weak, it used to be when I was a child, or overactive. Meaning it is actually attacking my body. It just seems odd to me that all of these things are happening at the same time and to think they are isolated and not connected...well it doesn't make sense to me. Especially when I have read over and over again about other people saying the same thing! That they too have other issues!

So, I'm frustrated, but doing research and thinking that going to see an Immunologist might be a good idea. Or just someone to like not look at my like I'm nuts lol. Food, diet, weight, and other things affect whatever is going on with me. So, the raw food diet is like awesome for me in more ways than one! lol...

Okay, enough of that...I hope everyone is well. I hope everyone is surviving tax season!!!

Rat: Tell Biker chick that by the time I got out there it was SNOWING!!! I'm too whimpy to ride in the snow. Today is a different story though. We are supposed to have 70 and 70+ degree weather for a while so, I am riding today!

Catherine: Sorry about your lip and you not being able to sing. Hugs.

Angie: I just read an article in Fit mag and New Balance are rated very high in all of the tests done.

Carol: I want a pair of those shoes too. Hugs.

Zelma: I don't know how close the Grand Canyon is to where they are planning on moving but I know my Dad and he loves trips to see nature. We lived down in the Boise ID area near them and we would often take the 3-4 hour trip up to ****'s Canyon to fish. lol.

Sharon: Thanks for the update on Ammi. I did finally email her. The nature hike you went on sounds so great. Next time take pics.

Julia: Stay healthy! hugs.

Kayley: Come on girl, you can get back on the wagon. Here is a hand up.

Debi: Sorry you are not feeling well. Hugs.

Brenda: Woo hoo on the -2. Way to go.

Jacquie: So sorry that you are getting the run a round from your Dr.'s. Sorry about owing the IRS too. That stinks.

Well, I am debating on going to a job fair or not today. I am going to go do my hair and if I feel like it after words I will throw a dress on and go.

Hugs and blessings all,
Annie

Hi chickies...

Thanks for all the suggestions with the GERD or whatever is going on!

Actually the symptoms from that have gotten lighter to where it does not hurt as bad. BUT as will all victories comes something else. Yesterday about 1 pm at work I started getting chills and feeling body aches. By the time I got home at 430pm I was running a temp of 102.3 I was FREEZING! So I went straight to bed and slept for about 3 hours. Hubby woke me up to eat and my temp was still up around 101. I thought of this is just great! Finally about 1030 last night my fever broke and my temp was back down to abut 99.3. This morning i actually felt better..but now it is about 130pm and i am starting to get chills again.

Today was the day I was to go to the GYNO to either get on BC, or have an oblation or something. I get there. I have been to this office for 8 YEARS! AFter waiting 20 min she calls me. She tells me that that DR does not take my insurance. I said what? She said he is a gyno that we bring in once a week from antoher office and he does not take your insurance. I said you do realize I work during the day, and that I took today off to come here! And that I have had this appointment for 3 weeks. Could you have found this out before this. SO they refer me to antoehr GYNo and it will take a few weeks to get the refferal. I told her I was very disappointed with their office and that I was not coming back. I am calling my insurance tomorrow and finding a new Dr. I have had it with that office! This was all in the lobby where everyone was. I told her i know this is not your fault, I blame this on who ever verifies insurance! I work in the health care field, i know this is preventable.

I am going to go to MACYS like they did on TBL and get a new body! lol

Annie: Verde Valley is nice. They will like it. I have never been to Idaho, BUT my friends sister adn brother are moving there in 2 years. They just bought land and are building a house on it.

jacqie: I FEEl your pain with hte IRS! We have a son that is 17, barley works any hours last year,,and we dont get him on a tax credit! I dont get it I want someone to explain that to me! BUT since we took care of my cousin for 7 months last year, and he is under 17, we get to claim him. So we get under a $100 back from federal, but owe the state. UGH!!

Angie: Great that your bloodwork came out great!

Hi Everyone,

I truly planned on coming in here daily to catch up and post, but life got in the way.

My brother was flown from our home town in the country to our main hospital here in Perth on Tuesday night. He had been having pneumonia symptoms since coming back from their holiday last week and just wasn't getting any better. They decided yesterday to test for leukemia. Just typing that makes me want to cry. This is my brother! Things like that don't happen to my family! Of course, the test could come back negative, but that seems to be where their diagnosis seems to be heading. They were going to do the bone marrow test yesterday, but he was too long getting a heart scan (they have to do that because the chemo can weaken the heart) so the bone marrow testing doctor had left by the time he got back to his room. They should test him today.

If the tests come back positive, then we have been told that this is treatable, which is very good news when you have very little information about leukemia. He will need a week of chemo, then they wait three weeks - I'm assuming to see if it works. Hopefully that will all be fine, but as a last resort he has 4 siblings who will be tested for compatability for a marrow transplant.

I am the baby of the family, and this brother, Daryl, is less than two years older than me. We have never been 'close' but the love is definitely there with all the siblings and we just want to do what we can. Neil and I spent yesterday at the hospital, just keeping his (and his lovely wife's) mind off things as best as we could. I'm heading in this morning and Neil will join me at lunch time after work. It is SO hard to see someone who you have always seen as strong, fit, fun-loving, simply a wonderful human being, going through this. He is SO unwell and I just want to make him better, but there is nothing I can do at the moment.

We are still holding out some hope that his extremely low white blood cell count could be due to the pneumonia, but I have to prepare myself that it may be something more. I am not a strongly religious person, but I truly believe in the power of positive thinking and I am asking that you all send either prayers or positive thoughts to Perth at the moment, for my brother Daryl. We would love the tests to come back negative, but if not, we just want the treatment to all work out perfectly. Please help us.

Thank you.

Take care,

Zelma
