Hey ladies. I'm still getting well from the flu, but my weight has gone down to 282 as of this morning. Maybe this flu will get me past my plateau lol.

Drinking loads of water and moving back into my exercise routine tomorrow.

One thing I've noticed about this illness...when I'm fussy and can't stand being in bed and the one thing I want to do is exercise, well I know now that my attitude has really changed. I remember when I was 340 pounds and not wanting to move...just sitting there like a slug on the couch. It is nice to acknowledge and accept change!

Have a good day ladies!

I fought myself for HOURS today. HOURS. My better self finally won out at 10 am when I put on the WATP dvd and started working out. Half an hour later i feel great. But boy was it a tough fight.

Have a great day everyone! Don't forget to move. :-)

I absolutely hate making myself exercise, but when I do it, I love it.

*rolls her eyes at herself* lol....

I see I'm not the only one like that...anyone else?

Today has been a much easier day than yesterday..Yesterday I was hungry all day long ...didnt do bad. I just really struggled with it. Today is back to being easy and planning ahead is so much easier when meal times comes..No need to stand and look in the fridge at things i cant have..I know what im having and can go and get it!
Almost got my full gallon of water in already today..gonna see if hubby wants to walk with me later if the kids are picked up before the rain sets in. Should end as a wet snow tommorow morning..I even heard the word ice...YUCK!!!
hugs to all

Helloooo.

I hope everyone is having a good week. I haven’t been on the thread much because I’m very poorly, with the dreaded cold and sore throat. I hate waking up in the morning and dragging myself to school! I’m feeling very stressed with my school work due to being sick. I’m studying A-levels English Literature, religious studies, philosophy of religion and ethics, and applied ICT. It’s a lot of work to do! One of the reasons I want to lose weight is because I want to be healthy and well, so that’s why I’m going to have a gap year when I finish school, so I could concentrate on losing weight and get healthy, otherwise I’m going to get more ill and overweight if I go straight to university once I finish school. I’d like to study for a degree in philosophy of religion or something related to religious studies and moral issues.

Annie: Thank you for saying that I’m beautiful. Not a lot of people say I am, apart from my parents and boyfriend! So you’re friends with my mam then? That’s cool. I think my mam is a lovely person. I quite like my avatar picture, for a change! I always hate how I look in photos.

Enjoy the rest of the week, everyone!
Much love xx

Carol, Debi, I'm getting more and more inspired by you guys. Thanks for re-focusing. I'm not quite there yet on wanting to lose weight again, but I'm getting there. I know I'm getting the Wii Fit for Christmas and I think that is when it will all kick in for me to get my butt in gear.

Annie How did your meeting go? Have you had to try on the fat suit again? Isn't it hard to believe how much weight we used to carry around?

Beth, Hi. Glad to see you on here. I know your Mom too. Sweet lady and I miss her on here so much. I agree, you are so very pretty in your avatar.

Cyn, how's the slumber parties going? I hope you make some big bucks on it and get tons of bookings.

Jacquie, feel better soon. It sucks being sick this time of year.

Bernice, sorry you're having such a hard time with the kids growing up and moving on in their lives. I was so happy when I didn't have to cart my son around anymore!!! But still it's hard to have them grow up and it makes us feel like we aren't needed anymore. Hang in there!

Well ladies, not much to report here. Just trying to maintain which is so hard at times. I want to eat all the good fattening stuff but won't allow it in the house right now. Just can't. I have no control. I'll figure it out though. I don't want to gain all the weight back.
Have a great night!
Debbie

Hi Peeps

Debbie - I hope you find your inspiration. If I am contagious I'll be glad to rub some of the wonderful feeling on you. It was some pretty serious soul searching and a hard realization for me to realize I was not doing what I needed to do - I wasn't doing bad but just wasn't completely focused. Maybe a little too comfortable. I also felt like I wasn't giving 100% here - because of the lost focus I was talking about everything except my struggles on this journey. Not fair in the support department. So c'mon - grab hold whenever you're ready.

Annie - time to quit shopping at Lane Bryant? Won't that be a wonderful day. I'm finding myself more of a clothes horse now - are you?

Today was a wonderful OP day - it's amazing how good a piece of fish and steamed cauliflower was tonight - could be one of my favorite meals.

Tomorrow is a long road trip day - Wichita for court and back - about 500 miles of sitting windshield time - need to make sure I get myself moving when I get home.

Move your bodies, drink your water and SMILE.

Hugs,
Carol

Evening all,

I got my hair done tonight and got home later than normal. But, I still got my 30 minutes of exercise in. Yahoo. I also came in about 600 calories low. Kind of on purpose. I have no desire to starve myself, but I haven't been too hungry and I REALLY want to lose weight. Tomorrow I will be back to my normal calories...and 60 minutes work out.

Carol, Debi, Anne, Annie, Debbie,....alll y'all, keep up the work. Sometimes it's good work, and sometimes it's just work. Needless to say, it must be done. I may not hit my goals, because I know time bound weight goals are a bad thing to do (for me), but I am going to do my best to hit it. I fear Christmas, because it seems like quite the snacking season to me. Someone at work offered me (and others) fudge, brownies and frosted cookies (her in laws own a bakery). And I said "no thank you". Her feelings weren't hurt, and I saved calories. I whined to myself how yummy they sounded, and my mouth REALLY drooled, but it was the right decision. I need to make the decision more often.

Alright, I am outta here. Hopefully will be back tomorrow to post more exercise tomorrow. As a note, I have found myself very drawn to changing my weight ticker every time I lose a LITTLE weight. I am addicted. I hope it isn't the same very many days in a row.

Take care and be well,
Angie

Pretty excited here! Hit my 20lb loss tonight at my weigh in! Started this long journey 3 short weeks ago and I am feeling great! I have not had many cravings for "junk" lately either. Seems to be getting easier as the days go by. I just love the support here and Thank you all!

Ok...ladies...I need advice, I read an article that states people lose less weight if they have a sat weigh day. I know for me sat weigh day has kinda turned into a day of eating what i want. They are suggesting a monday weigh day. Studies show you are less likely to cheat on the weekend if you are facing weigh in. I would love to hear what yall think about it. I know for a fact I eat better monday -friday.
My day was pretty good yesterday...had to change dinner menu at the last min as a friend showed up at meal time and hung around and i needed something i could throw together fast. SO i went with breakfast foods and ate one biscuit to many...no gravy though, still came in ok calorie wise. I am not cutting my calories down by the 100 I had planned on doing this week.
I only got 10 min on the minitramp last night instead of the 20 i have been doing. I did get all my water in again...
hugs to all and have a great OP day!!!!

Good Morning all,

Cyn: I hadn't watched the Biggest Looser yet when I first saw this your post. lol. I can't stand her and hope she doesn't win. She is evilllll. lol.

Jacquie: It is amazing how our attitude changes if we work on it huh. So glad that you are feeling better. Hugs.

Mimi: Yippeee to you for winning over that not wanting to exercise bug.

Debi: I agree with the article you read simply on my own past experiences. I would do great all week and go to weight watchers then after my meeting, I'd hit whatever fast food I wanted to eat at. Makes sense to me.

Beth: I think it is wonderful that you are wanting health. Good girl. Isn't Ammi your mom? I adore her if it is. If she is not your mom, oops. I thought she was because you guys are both in Swansea. Yes, you are beautiful. I have told your mom that many times when she has shared your pictures with me.

Debbie: No more fat suit until next year. I think you will love the Wii fit. I do it every day pretty much. It is fun to see my progress or unfortunately, lack of lately. lol. It is cute because my hubby signed up on it too and he hasn't been back on it since Thanksgiving day and yesterday it asked how he is doing. lol.

Carol: Yep. I think I love getting new clothes. lol. I was wondering if I should try to go to other stores besides plus size ones to shop at. I think I'm a bit afraid that nothing will fit me there. I know I am very close. I shop mainly at Lane Bryant, Torrid or Fashion Bug. I have purchased a couple of things at Walmart (cheap jeans for work) and Ross in the plus section. I haven't been to Ross in a long time though. Have a safe trip today when you go to Kansas. My sister and my Mom used to live in Missouri in a city called Monett. My niece still lives in Arora. (Sp). Are you close to that area?

Angie: How fun that you went and had your hair done. I am so proud of you for saying no to the sweets. That is strong! Great job.

Erinkman: woo hoo on the -20 pounds. Excellent.

Well, it is 4:38 and time to go warm up my car. I hope you all have a wonderful op day.

Blessings,
Annie

Angie: getting your hair done is sucha great thing! I love getting mine done

erinkman:WTG on the 20lb loss!!! Imagine that is 4 of the 5lb sugar bags!! Look next time you are at the store! What an amazing visual!

Annie: sorry if I ruined it ;( Ya I dont care for Vickie...don't know how her hubby manages her lol

dgramie: I dont know about the sat weigh in thing..never heard of that.

For me: ate too much fudge at work yesterday. And I dont even care for it that much. Hubby and my brother are fixing my car today yeah..will only cost $160 since they are doing it instead of a mechanic for $800.

Gotta get ready for work..
toodles

No fighting with myself this morning. Great 50 min cardio workout. Now I stretch, then to the shrink, then to work.

Today is WI day and I remembered while I was on the bike, sweating like a fountain and drinking water. So no getting a true reading now. Will have to wait till tomorrow am. Darn!

Have a great day everyone! Don't forget to move!
