I was having a conversation on the phone with my best friend of 10 years. She's the kind of best friend you tell EVERYTHING to, who knows all your vulnerable parts and whom you can trust with your innermost everything. Her life is changing for the better. I could hear excitement in her voice as she described how she's coming out of her shell and into her own self.

This conversation left me thinking about my own life. I'm NOT living my best life. I have an inkling of what "my best life" looks like, but the picture is still muddled and murky. I have been asking myself these questions since then:

* what does my best life look like?
* what kind of person do I have to be to get there?

I haven't come up with many answers...but the ones I've arrived at are motivational:

* Energetic
* Happy
* Comfortable in my own skin.

Continuing workouts and weight-loss will help get me to "energetic" and "comfortable in my own skin." The anti-depressants, which glory-to-God seem to be working, will help get me to "happy."

It feels exciting and scary to be asking myself all these questions. The answers...and the possibilities are boundless.

You ladies here are simply a gift. Thanks for the support and for allowing me to walk with all of you on your journeys, which reflect mine. Tonight I feel grateful and blessed to be on this board.

Hello Ladies

Just to let you know what is going off in my neck of the woods so to speak. With Christmas fast approaching we are having several deliveries to do. Done two this week already one more tomorrow. Mind you the delivery today was on our way home from the MS therapy centre so a local delivery. (we delivery bean bags as a favour to my BIL whose business it is making this bean bags. We normally do the really big orders or the ones with real leather as they are very expensive to say the least)

Still not feeling 100% I must admit not sure what is going on but I think I will end up going to the doctor to get to the bottom of this. I have abdominal pain and pain in my back. So not sure if I have a UTI or urine infection in English MSers can be prone to this for some reason touch wood I have been fortunate in that area unlike some I know.

I will try to pop by as much as I can but time is a bit thin on the ground at the minute. I do try and read your posts before I retire to bed even if I do not have enough time to post. I am hoping next week will be a bit better. I have a lot of Xmas whist drives next week. Though our Christmas dinner with the MS centre is this Friday at 3pm.

I can not believe it is December already where did this year go to. Today I woke up to a good covering of snow at about 7am though by 9am it had started to clear. By the time we came home from the MS centre it had disappeared all together.

Just finished our lunch as I cook in the evening on a Tuesday to make life easier for me with having treatment. Had beef with steamed vegetables and potatoes. Then a framage frais with a raspberry compote at the bottom. Nice to round off the meal I must say.

Time to go again and wash a few pots up then get bits and pieces ready for tomorrow going to Bristol which is down south and approximately 150miles away. It is to a cinema whom have had previous orders from the company all over the country.

Bye bye

purpleorc

Debi and Carol: I'm in for ramping things up and really focusing on my health again. I feel so stalled. I will be exercising daily of some kind. That is my committment. I will also pledge to eat the very best for my body that I can and if I "blow it" I will confess it here for a spanking. Okay, time to pull out the paddles cause, I just ate a mini Baby ruth candy bar and it makes me soooo sick.

Cyn: I'm glad you are doing a bit better.

Melissa: congrats on the first week back op and also for loosing 5 pounds!

jacquie: I hope you are feeling better now. Hugs.

Beth: You are such a beautiful girl. Of coarse knowing your momma so well, I adore her, she has emailed me pictures of your family before so, I know you were a doll. All that to say, I love, love your avatar pic. Hugs.

Toni: I am so happy for you. I was looking at your weight tracker and you only have 6 more pounds before you are at -100!

Angie: Hi girl.

Mimi: I think that those self questions are so hard on all of us. I hope that you find answers that will help you stretch and grow. Hugs.

Purple: Hi there.

Okie dokie, I am caught up for now. I need to go and exercise. Tonight is my group meeting and I have been up since 2:30 a.m. so I am already tired and it is just after 9 a.m. Hopefully I can exercise, bathe and nap before the meeting. lol.

I have to tell you guys something, I went to Lane Bryant yesterday with my "Real Woman Dollars" that I had earned there. I bought everything off the 40% off rack except underware. When she totaled everything up It came to $156.00 then she started taking the 40% off and also my $50 "Real Woman Dollars". I came out of there paying $54.00 for almost $160 worth of clothes. I got 3 new shirts, 1 pair of jammies, 2 pairs of jeans, 3 pairs of undies and a sweater. All size 14 tops and 16 pants!!! It was great.

Okay, I've blabbed on enough gotta go move my body now.

Blessings all,
Annie

Annie_ Wow way to go on the size 16 pants!! 14 tops!!! You are amazing...
now stay away from candy bars...LOL
i am having a bit more trouble being hungry today....hubby just got back from his yearly checkup and they are very pleased with everything except his glucose..she wants him on 1500 per day...so i asked her what i should be on and she said 1000. Im putting him on 1800 and im staying at 13-1400 . He would starve and end up never staying on a diet if i put him on 1500.
oh well hope everyone is having a great day!!!
drink your water!!!

Debi,

Glad that most things for your DH came back good but I think your Dr. is nuts about you being on 1000 cal. diet for very long. Just my opinion.

Blessings,
Annie

dgramie - My opinion on doctors is that most of them have no current nutrition training, if they have any nutrition training at all, so they are NOT the best judges of what one should be eating or how much. For sage, official, advice, my money is on a nutritionist. Just my 2cents. :-)

Annie - WAY TO GO on the steal at Lane Bryant. GOOD for you! :-)

purpleorc - I hope you feel better. Sounds like going to the doctor is a good idea.

cyn - please post pics of your sewing. I'd love to see your work. I'm wearing that dress I was "finishing" the last couple of months. I'm in love with it eventhough it did NOT turn out perfect! :-)

Had a light lunch after a meeting with a client. Now I am back in the office, trying to get work done. Not being very successful at it, mind you.

Off to it I go...

Hi gang,

Eating went as planned today. Not perfect, but not bad. I landed in the right calorie zone, but my fat was a little fat. I will to make sure that doesn't occur tomorrow. I also have every intent on exercising for 60 minutes tonight. I feel like I am developing a cold, as my asthma is totally out of control (and it has been VERY in control for months now), and I have a lot of sinus congestion. Yay me. I so want to not exercise and just crawl into bed. But, I am going to try to get the exercise in. I am a daily weigher and I was up 0.2 pounds today and I am not pleased by it. Yes, I know one's weight can vary much more than that...but I want to lose every day. Of course, we all want to.

I am going to try to chill out a little to see if I can self-medicate through wellness thinking. And if I don't feel any better within the hour, I am heading to the basement for exercise.

Angie

Hugs angie and get feeling better!
annie- I dont listen to what the dr says about calories...This however isnt the same dr that told me to do 1000 before. I dont see the same family dr hubby does. I was just curious what she would say i should be eating...LOL

I got all my water in already so should have no problem getting in another 16-20 ounces. Food was a little heavy at dinner tonight...so will exercise a bit longer tonight. We didnt get to go for our walk due to the cold weather...I am not ready for winter yet!!! Looks like my calories are about 200 over what i was hoping for...Guess my body is just use to my 1500 and it wants it!!!
hope everyone has a wonderful evening.
hugs

Hiya Peeps - a great day here! I bought new sweats to work out and finally put them on tonight - XL - not plus size - a huge NSV for me. I wasn't even self conscious because they weren't tight. And they aren't black - they are bright red - wanted to be sure I was noticed.

It felt really good to be back in class tonight after being on the road for a few weeks but unfortunately I will be on the road again on Thursday - I will exercise though and get my 1000 minutes in this month.

Glad to see all this positive energy around here again - I've missed it!

Move your bodies, drink your water and SMILE.

Hugs,
Carol

Hi girls! I'm here reading....still kinda in a funky mood....my youngest DD just passed her driving test yesterday....kinda bittersweet....YEAH she passed.....and now I wont have to cart her everywhere.....but then when I think of her being my "last" and now I wont need to cart her everywhere....makes me kinda sad too!

I haven't been in a mood like this in years.....instead of the good in things the first thing I am seeing is the sadness of it......I need to get out of this funk!

I like Carol & Debi's idea of reevaluating what we are doing......I need to start posting on TDP as well I know that is CRUCIAL to my weight loss as is exercise each week! I am picturing myself running away from this "funky mood" and becoming happier......I will take it one day at a time.....

Good Morning Peeps - just a quick fly by to say ...............................

Move your bodies, drink your water and SMILE (especially inside - makes it easier to smile on the outside).

Good Morning lovlies,

Mimi: I so envy all of you guys who can sew. What a wonderful craft to have.

Angie: Good for you for exercising even when you don't feel like it. Hugs and feel better very soon.

Debi: I wish that you had access to the "bod pod". lol. It tells you exactly how much protein and calories you should have to lose weight and to maintain etc.

Carol: Yipppppeee for new "RED" sweats. I bet they look wonderful!

Bernice: Hugs to you. Come on sweetie, pull yourself out of that mood.

I was so tired when I got home from work yesterday but I was determined to exercise and clean my bathrooms. I ended up cleaning the entire house except dusting. I went to my meeting and was very emotional. Silly me. It was all because I was so darn tired. lol. I am brighter eyed and busy tailed today though. I need to go by the surgeon's office and buy some vitamins after work. They have a new line of high protein/low cal and low carb foods and snacks too. I will check some of them out.

I hope you all have a wonderful op, bootie moving and water drinking day.

Blessings all,
Annie
