BO SOX!!!!! What a game. I was dreadfully tired, and went to bed after it was 6-2. I couldn't stay awake. But of course, this morning, I get a play by play from my sweetie, Andy. TOnight's the night!!!
Catherine! I'm so glad you're home safe and sound. I must say, you have an amazing life. Now, you'll have even more to enjioy!
Heather~ Your nachos sound wonderful. I'll keep them in mind. I love them with added jalapeno!
Sorry to be so short, but I got lots of chores to do today. And even though Andy's birthday is tomorrow, tonight is his dinner!
Just wanted to jump in here and say Hello!!! Haven't been in here as much as I thought I would be over the week. Weekend went by way to fast. Eating is getting better and the exercise is increasing.
Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday make the most of it becuase it's the only one we have for Oct. 28th '07.
NSV time!! I had bought some new undies at Costco 2 months ago and they were too snug to comfortably wear. Well, today they fit!! yay! This is great news cuz the 26/28 undies (yes, way way too many sizes ago) that I was still using were um.. acting like spywear (they were constantly sneaking up on me!!).
Boy am I glad the weekend is over. Today was a good OP day but the lack of structure is hard for me. I did clean the basement and my closet, do yoga and walk on the treadmill.
Just a note cuz the SOX are on. I just wanted to report a good OP day!
Andy's dinner went well. He loved the pickled shrimp on a bed of greens with veggies, grapes and walnuts. He wasn't crazy about his custard, but Abby and I liked it.
I made a huge pot of bean soup today too. That's for tomorrow. Super low fat, lowER sodium and lots of protein and fiber!
Gotta bolt. My boys are on.
I received an invitation this weekend for a dinner party on Christmas Day. I knew it was coming, but didn't expect it to be a semi-formal event. At first I began to panic about what to wear, and dreaded the idea of dressing up. Then I remembered I have a beautiful dress in my closet that's about 10 years old, but in a timeless style....in a size 22. It is a very forgiving cut, and I recall wearing it ok when I was a size 24 previously.
I tried it on and it fit. Just fit. Hallelujah! This is the first dress-up occasion I can think of in a long time in which I am not stressing over finding appropriate attire that fits and looks good, and is comfortable. I was always outgrowing my clothes, not shrinking to fit.
I like that there is no pressure to fit into it by then. It already fits, but a little snugly, so as I lose more weight it will look even better.
Yay! No stressful shopping desperate to find something, no spending money I don't have on a fancy dress.
Ratkitten: Yipee for new undies. I hate it when they get all shy and go up your bootie. lol.
Brenda: Congrats on another -4.8 pounds. Great job.
Peggy: I love, love your new avatar photo and your darling lab pup. Is it a male or female and what is the name. HE/She looks like my baby Pepper (female) when she was a baby. Too cute.
Sandy: So sorry that Cymbalta didn't work for you. I hope you are able to find something soon that does. Hugs. Glad your DH loved his birthday dinner.

Jessie: hi. Good job getting your eating and exercising better. Keep up the great work.
Well, I love having my exercise bike in the house. I ride it often now. I went to church alone today because my DH is sick with this horrid cough/cold that everyone has. I mostly vegged out today. I have an Orthodontist appointment in the morning at 7 a.m. followed by an appointment with the resp. therapist to turn down my CPAP machine then..... The big interview. Pray for me to dazzle them lol.
