Lilion: Thanks. I myself am the opisite of you. I am terrified to get on the scale.I wonder how can a stupid metal thing hold so much power over me. Ah... one day it will not!

KnCmamma: Stay warm if you can.

Ammi: Oh, I don't think you have anything to worry about when you have a gain. Look how well you did over Christmas. You hung in there, lost the gain and then some. I think you are going to continue to be the superstar I know you to be!

Hugs all hope you are having a great day. I am op again. Yea! I have done my weight lifting and situps so far. I am going to do the WATP tape. I started off only being able to do 4 minuts and now I can do 7. I am hoping for 8 soon. I also need to ride my bike the first 4.5 miles for the day. I jump on it later in the day and do another 1.5 miles. I don't know why I am sooooo sleepy the past week. I think maybe because of sinus things going on.
Well, Be blessed everyone,
Annie

Patti, I'm sure I missed it, did they ever find out what the cause of your leg pain is? I so admire you for sticking it out like that. Pain would definately make me stay far away from exercise...which would probably be the worst thing for me to do!

I started a thread with an article I found on the internet called "How the Scale Lies to You". Something I vow to read on Wednesday if I have a bad WI! Some interesting stuff you all may find relevant.

Later!

Sandy - It kills doesn't it when you go over your finger with the sewing machine needle? I did that only once, in school, OUCH What are you sewing anyway? I have a sewing machine but I just find that by the time you buy a pattern, material and all the bits and bobs you need it works out cheaper to just go buy the ready made item in a store I have had the machine for 15 years now and have made Beth one pair of pants (she was 2 at the time) and about 20 body worn hearing aid harnesses. Making the latter is the only reason I bought the machine really. Now the machine just gathers dust, shame on me

Patti - I am so sorry you are still having so much trouble with your leg. I think my friend that NOW is the time to go see the doctor! No more putting it off PLEASE

Annie - oh yes I know I will do well if I have a gain that I expect, it's the unexpected ones that I have to worry about. I know you will if I start to give in

Lilion - I am the same as you, if I have any pain the last thing I want to do is exercise. Today I nearly let toothache stop me from doing it, but gosh darn it the pain killers worked and I had to do it

Hugs,

Ammi

Congrats on the losses gals!!

I hope you don't mind me sneaking a food question in here!!

Question to all the ladies: Wondering what your staple "fill'er up" foods are- what one thing you eat thats low in cals - could be a snack or a meal that is reliable, dependable, and tasty.

Chimichanga~ I LOVE mini- quaker rice cakes. There's some that are sweet, you can have 6-8 of them for 60 calories. And, I just LOVE carrots and celery and radishes and yes, with no dip! I do well when I have them in the house and all done up already.

Patti~ Girl, get yourself to the doctor! You're worrin me!

Ammi, Remember at Christmas time I was working on pillows for my grandson's??? Well, I finished them today. Finally. I haven't had time to finish them and when I did have time, I didn't feel like hauling everything out. Actually, I started a pair of shorts for Abby's basketball games when I rean over my finger. I'm such a dork. It didn't hurt before, but it does now. I got this fabric for $1 per yard as it was on clearance. I had everything else I needed. But now, they're only cut out since I didn't sew them up.
I owe you an apology my friend. You had a good loss AGAIN!!! Way to go!!
I'm still op for the day, but I gotta tell ya, it's only cuz there's nothin naughty in the house. My yummy mini rice cakes are at work as well as all my other little goody snacks. And I'm so tired. I took a nap instead of getting on the Gazelle. I guess I'll get on the gazelle now and have Abby cheer me on.
Have a great evening/night everyone.

Chimi - if I want a snack then it's grapes, or low fat crisps, Rich Tea biscuits or jam on toast, vegemite is pretty darn gorgeous as well. If I want a filling meal I always have a load of veges, a big plate full along with a pie, or fish, or chicken etc. Fruit and vegetables are great for fillings you up without being fattening How did you end up moving to Australia?

Patti - I know you have good days with your leg, but even if you only have one out of 7 bad days, I still think you have put off going to the doctors for too long. Please go sooooooooon!

Sandy - oh the pillows, I am glad you got them finished today! You will have to take photos of them for me to see what the finished product is like

Sounds like a good idea for you to have no naughty food in the house, it sure does make it easier to stay OP! What's been happening for you to fancy eating naughty stuff if you could? Hope you are OK

I hope you got on the Gazelle and that Abby cheered you on just like you do for her at her games

Well I better get some sleep now, have a great night and bye for now,

Hugs,

Ammi

I've been having computer trouble, mainly with the user interface I'm sure. I am not going to Nepal. Besides the fact that immigration is not letting me leave the country right now, my mediation credentials are too dated for the UN. Himself is just a very naughty boy. I'll try to post tomorrow if I don't throw this #$%^&* computer out into the snow.

Catherine~ Sorry about your pc. I know they can be a pain. Hope it gets fixed soon.

Ammi~I'm ok. I think I'd eat anything right now cuz I waited too long to eat anything. Not a good thing. But, good there's no naughty stuff in the house. It's all ok. I'll get back on a decent eating schedule tomorrow.

Well, DH is due home soon and I need to get dd tucked into bed for the night. Take care, all.

Hi ladies. First of all, congrats to all the losers and those who keep on truckin' along. Welcome to all the new ladies! And as always, my thoughts are with all of you.

I had to withdraw from school. I couldn't get the panic attacks under control and my instructors all had very strict attendance policies, so if I hadn't withdrawn, I would have already been down to a very low C at the highest. My GPA and my financial aid couldn't handle that blow. I don't think my heart could have either - I've always been a (high) Bs and As student.

I haven't gone to the doctor, but I plan to as soon as I have some money. Trying to make ends meet has become a game each week - how many bills can I afford this time? Do I pay this bill, or do I wait? Do I buy groceries, or do I pay my insurance? I'm sure everyone has been there before, and we have too so it's nothing new. We got our income taxes filed so hopefully we'll get a break before too long.

No weight loss related stuff to report. Still making better (but not good) choices about food, cutting down portions, and occasionally putting in a bit of effort to exercise. I'm making better choices more and more each day, so I think I may be able to shake this funk I'm in soon.

Have a great week ya'll.
