Fit: My DD woke up at 2:30 too. ????What's that about. I ended up sleeping in her room so she wouldn't wake DH. The reason I hesitate to tell DH is because he had just questioned me about our checking account/budget, and I chastised him for questioning me. Besides that, he is VERY big about making a good impression on the owners, and will be sooo stressed about it.

We are going to Missouri where my grandparents live, tomorrow, and I just want it to be a smooth trip.

Jessamy: I think you are feeling this way because of SBD. It is so restricting that it causes you to rebel. You just have to keep trying. Even though were up and down in our weight, just imagine what we would do if we gave up completely. we'd all be huge. I have been feeling just like you for 3 years now. Now is the first time that I feel in control. The only diff this time is that I have turned it over to the Lord, w/ prayer. And at the sametime, I am doing my part by knowing when to say when. This is the smallest I have been since DD was born, and it (prayer) is the only thing I have done differently. We have a prayer box at church, you put your "prayer's" inside, and when the members of the church pray, they remember to mention the "prayer box" It works!! This group helps too, but I have been on here since April and only started seriously losing in September. Its a "inside" battle. After all don't we eat for comfort, and self fulfillment. (Like I did last night) Anyway, someone else can probably put it more eloquently. (yeah, I spell checked that he he)

Thanks

Here is another thing, Squishy. Have you every thought about having an off day once a week? It works for me. A free day where you can eat what ever you want. I do this instead of counting flex points and activity points, and it seems to be working. I do try to have a little bit of self control on those days though. I eat what I want, but try not to make a pig of myself (LOL sometimes I do sometimes I don't) Now this isn't for everyone. My mom says that once she goes off her diet, its hard to get back on. I on the other hand make sure all junk is out of the house by monday.

Default I love you guys!

Thanks so much Goddess and Christie. I dont know what I'd do without you all! I like the idea of a "day off". I'd plan my "date" with dd going to bakery etc and the night of drinking with DH for that day. It bothers DD when I abstain during our special time out together too. She wants me to join the fun and pleasure (pus she wants me to stop taking nibbles of her stuff!) I guess since 1 lb is 3500 cals how much damage can I do 1 day in 7!

From SBD I have enjoyed NOT having starch with dinner since that is often a binging moment. Just NOT having bread or pasta with my meal is not a sacrifice for me and helps calorically for sure! But I miss fruit and cereal in the am. Well, i just will keep on keeping on! Back to FitDay.

Another thing that I think is adding to this is $/ job stuff too. I have a "job" but started it not long ago and it is contractual so I never know what kinda $ I will get month to month. DH is getting a little antsy having me not bringing in $ but is unwilling to pitch in with dd much since his arrival time in the evening is so late and or so uncertain. I can not count on him for coming home at a specific time, for sure.
Even this week I had a meeting and had to leave at 7am. I told him a few weeks ago that this ONE DAY I needed him to put her on the bus at 815 and he forgot, overbooked his day PLUS put in a dental visit for a nightguard and pissed and moaned about it when I reminded him! I told him to cut the mixed messages. You want me to work, you have to sacrifice too!

I did just finish a report for work and now am working on scheduling other patients for Oct/ Nov so I feel some progress and satisfaction so I am thinking it will help keep me from undermining my eating more today. Maybe a dip in the hottub will help too. I have to feel good about myself on a reg basis to keep the hands out of the candy corn (by the way, I tossed the rest of the package in handfuls out the car window this morning! )

Red face

Hi everyone, I'm new here, and several have wrote on my other postings and I Thank you. For those who don't have a clue...My name is Jennifer and I have had weight issues my whole life and recently I have had a complete hysterctomy and now find it almos impossible to even drop a pound, and I don't know what I'm doing wrong! I work out 3xs a week and drink 80-100oz a water everyday! I have been following the 3hr diet and so far I have noticed not a bit of a drop in weight! I am almost to the point of saying this just isn't worth it anymore. I am 5'7 and weigh 179. I'd like to lose about 40lbs. Does anyone know any reason why I wouldn't be able to achieve this? Does having a hysterectomy keep you from losing weight? I am only 29 and have become very depressed about this. I do not take perscrition hormones I am on bio identical hormones. Any help would be nice! I'm willing to revise a diet plan if need be! I have been on ww before surgery but have not tried it since. I do write down everything I eat and usually have 1200 calories a day. If anyone could give some advice, I'd love to hear your opinion!!! Thank you,Jenny

LOL, @ throwing the candy corn out the window. That alone can be empowering (SP?) I know how hard it can be tring to lose weight when your life has no routine to depend on. Believe me I know this soo well. All the things you described has been present in my life till recently.

:hugs:

Jenny, I am on WW and I love it. Nutrition is very important along with counting your calories. I believe if your body doesn't get what it needs, it will store fat.

glad to have you here!

As you can see from my recent posts I am a dieting nightmare on 2 legs but I'd suggest boosing to 1500 cals for a week and see if that gets your metabolism going. With lots of exercise 1200 is prob too little.

Default Thank you!

Thanks to the both of you! I will try boosting up the calories to see if that will make a difference!

How long have you been on ww and how much have you lost?

squishy What type of diet are you currently doing?

Do ya'll think that maybe this just isn't the right diet for me or maybe I should just give it a while longer?

It's so nice to have someone to talk to! My husband is 6'2 and eats whatever he wants and is so thin! My kids are 10, and 7. My son stuggles with his weight alittle and my daughter is just like her daddy!
Thank you so much for sharing! Jenny

Jenny if you're doin 3 hr diet i don't think you're eating enough with just 1200 cals a day. you should only be eating.....dang at 5'2 and less than 150 would you be eating less than 1450 a day. Try upping a bit....maybe balancing your snacks? what kind of snacks do you have? I'm doing 3 hr diet myself and i really enjoy it. I started in august (22nd to be exact) and have lost 14 lbs since then. I've been working out about 4-5 days a week, not quite as good on the water as I should be though......what about vitamins? you taking a multi???

Ok there we go, i see your post...my brain's brokey but if I can help in any way lemme know. I got my mom and my friend from home hooked on 3 hr diet. Please stick it out if you can!!! You'll have all the support you need here!

Wannabe:
Jorge Cruise's 3 hr diet.....you eat a balanced meal of 400 cals every 3 hrs starting with breakfast 1 hr after waking, a snack of 100 cals (possibly more depending on your weight) 3 hrs later, balanced lunch (400 cals) 3 hrs later, another 100 cal snack 3 hrs later, dinner (400 cals) 3 hrs later plus a 50 cal treat. Balanced meal: protein size of a deck of cards, fat the size of a lid to a water bottle, carb the size of a rubic's cube, veggies take up half the plate, or the equivalent to 3 stacked dvds The only restrictions are portion sizes.

Unhappy I'm alive...but just barely.

HI~~~~

Well, first of all, thanks for missin' me. It all started @ 5am Monday morning. Lil feller was fussin' so I went to pick him up out of the crib, We lowered it (all the way down) about 3 weeks ago, he was slightly to the right so I bent to pick him up and.....WAMMO!!!My back went out. Not just out but disk #5 was slipped, out. My right leg was 3/4" shorter than the left, out. CRYING LIKE A BABY, out. Nearly threw up and fainted from the pain, out!! I'm at about 60% mobility now. I would have dropped on one knee and proposed to my Chiropractor if I could've. Lots of Ice and vicoden. MIL was over all of Mon and Tue, part of Wed. DH had to take off Thur and Fri. I simply could not move. Lil feler was confused as to why Ma ma wasn't holding him. Needless to say my house is a stinkin' mess and I'm b!tchy because of it. I really can't stand total disorder and DH just an't seem to keep up. Its kinda good for him to see what I do all day. MIL has a brand new apprciation for it, she was very sore and tired after 2 days of chasing Lil feller. I'm really lucky to have such a lovely MIL.
Christi~ You have a great talent, don't waste it. I've spent many years doing "other" things rather than honing my God given gifts. All only to waste my time. thanks for missin' me.
Goddess~ I keep smellin' a Rat regarding DH. Trust your gut and make no excuses. Glad your Who HA is feeling ok. I too have a coule of tatoos and have pierced things in the past (nose and belly) But you all prolly would've expecteed it from me.
Fit~ I'd have never thunk it. Your so cool

Ok thats all I can do...Its killin' me to sit here but I didn't want you all to think I'd died even though that might have felt better!!!

LOve hugs and all that Smooshy stuff!!!

Oh Stevi- You poor thing! We'd all come take shifts mopping and doin laundry and cooking and chasing lil guy around for ya if we could! Glad you have MIL and that DH is seeing some of your "SAHM" bit and that it isnt all Oprah and bonbons! lol like its ANY of that! PLEASE take it easy and let yer self heal. Dont push it and I know you will!

Jenny- I was just cal counting (kinda) and exercising about 5x per week, then went to South Beach Diet and was fine for 3 weeks then just fell off HARD. I may plan to try it again for 2 more weeks in phase 1 to see if that whole craving thing actually goes away for me. I love sweets A LOT and SBD promises tthis will end but it didnt for me. I will try one more time.

WW didnt work for me. Well, it did and didnt. I lost all my weight (30 lbs) in about 6-7 mos and then I went nuts and ate it all back plus 13 more! I think the constant thinking and planning about food wore me down and I just got fed up with it. Plus I went thru some head-stuff at that point and started drinking more than usual so I gained fast from that too.

I am at a cross road so I will let y'all know what I plan to do, though it may just be a day by day thing. sigh.

We had neighbors over and I shared a bottle of wine with the wife. We had a nice time playing board and card games. Nice folks. They have a 15 yo dd and 7 yo son so we sent dd to their house to be babysat and play with the boy so we actually had grown-up time.

Holy- any word from DH and how's he doing!

Goddess- how's the make-up doing with your DH, is the puter unlocked or smashed on the sidewalk?!

hope y'all doing well!

Holy: Thanks for the advice, I'm gonna start today uping my calories alittle! AS for the snacks I usually eat a piece of fruit, a apple or banana. I do have protein with every meal, I just need to try harder I guess.

Wanna, The diet itself is great, it's my body I'm having a problem with!!!lol
I'm never hungry! I was on the ww a few years ago and just didn't have that great of luck with it and I'm not really sure why! I just thought maybe the reason it was hard for me now was because of the hysterectomy, but I can't find anyone who has had one to tell me if this is normal?! Your doing great on ww though!!!! Good for you! Please share your secrets!!!!!

Stevie: I do hope you will be ok, if it's any comfort I will pray for you!!!!!

Squishy: I really don't eat alot of sweets! My family has a long history of diabetes! I have been checked several times and I don't have it. I try to keep everything balanced as well as possible, I'll just eat a bit more and see if I can get a little weighloss going! I do take vitiamins! 16 of them to be exact! I find I feel better to take what I need seperately then just to take one! I'll just try the extra calories this week and see what happens!

I hope you all have a Great weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!
