He's in the USAF.....he's going to be leaving sept 17th to be down in the iraq area for 4 months, protecting the people who are rebuilding their countries.

This is just a "keep my place post" Just got back from the Wiggles and they were excellent this time.(This was the best in the last 4 years we have seen them)K brought Roses for Dorothy and a bone for Wags and was "star struck" when Anthony came and got them...Kids are way too funny and then they become teenagers!!!:p :p :p

Things have gotten pretty stressful around here -- I found out on Friday that I will no longer have a job as of Aug 18th :o So now I am trying to figure out what I am going to do - I don't make much babysitting only 3 days a week -- but it is our grocery money -- ya know -- oh, and this couldn't have come at a "better" time *note the sarcasm" -- DH is in a new job, and will be going to full comission here shortly -- and believe me I know that things could be a lot worse -- but I guess I just like to wallow in my own self pity -- I guess I just haven't felt that I have anything positive to add -- I just gotta get over it ! Thanks for thinking about me !!! :hug:

Norissa, sorry to hear about the job...this is the babysitting job? Maybe you can find some new kids to watch? What is DH's new job? Hope it's working out good for him!

RR, I don't know about Peter & Robby, but I'm pysched to go see the Wiggles on the 19th! :lol3: We don't have great seats, we're about 1/2 way back, in the first tier, but at least we'll be able to see the whole stage this time. Last time we were right next to the stage, but we couldn't see a lot of it because of that.

Spit, Glad your'e getting some relief....the heatwave has hit us now! It's 90 already at 10:00 and is supposed to hit 100 again. Hopefully the t-storms we're supposed to get tomorrow will cool it down...to the 80s!! Good for you on the Pilates.

Lauren - Honestly - I have thought about that, but I am so burnt out ! I have been babysitting for almost 10 years now, and the thought of being "trapped" in my house 5 days a week w/ someone's elses kids is not appealing, especially when all 3 of mine start school this year. I have thought about taking a job at Target or WalMart, but I don't know how flexible they will be to the "new kid" - ya know -- DH's new job is in sales which includes traveling, he will be gone for 1 week every month so I will have to be home during the evenings -- Thought about subbing -- but I would have to come up w/ $$ for background searches and fingerprinting so I can work in the school district -- UGH !! This would be so much easier IF we had some sort of family support !! I am hopping that DH's new job will bring in the big bucks and we wont have to worry about it !! LOL !! His comission kicks in next month and I am so nervous !! We have never been in a comission based job situation ! Sorry - this turned into an extremely long whine ! :^:

Norissa, Target or Walmart sound good...employee discount! I would be up front about the hours though, make sure they're commited to letting always work the same hours.

Hey gals...i typed up a long post yesterday and when i was almost finished, my computer went down and it was lost! i was so frustrated that i spent so much time and didn't feel like re-creating --- nor did i have the time!

Norissa ~ sorry about the job-thingy. sux. we are a family of seven and my husband was out of work for TWO years and just got laid off again after 2 months employment. i believe that God will take care of us, but every day it is a real battle! I completely understand---and will pray for your family!

Stevi ~ congrats on the negative poundage this morning! You go girl.

Holy ~ sorry about DH - my BIL just got back from "over there"...keep your chin up.

Spit ~ i hear ya on the heat wave. we were 109 (w/ heat index) yesterday. today's a little better (102), but still HOT!

RR ~ the Wiggles? Ugh, my youngest (age 3 on Friday!) would love to see them, but I can think of a MILLION other things I'd rather do! The love of a mother.........

Stevie, RR was poking fun at me. She was letting me know that something that I said was funny. That and probably trying to just read everyones posts.

Lauren, the job is okay. I am still learning, we have so much to do here that they don't always have time to train me in what I should be doing. That's a little frusterating (sp?) however for the most part it is good. I don't like getting up early, but I do like getting off early and having my nights and weekends free.

It is still extremely hot here. Temps in the nintys and heat indexes between 106 and 116. It should break (last I heard) around 10:30pm tommorrow night. UGGHH! At least my office is air conditioned. I am also really thankful that last year I bought a new car. For those of you who were not around, or don't remember (RR?), my old one didn't have air.

Well it is time to sign off my computer and go home. Talk at yall later.

The wiggles thats funny cause im so outta the loop with the younger kid generation when my kids were younger it was ALL Barney and baby bop LOL for those of you with older ones i swear i wanted to beat that dinosour he was very annoying BUT he made the kids happy so we new all the songs to all the barney show's and everything in my house was barney and baby bop :dizzy: soo i have been doing so/so i walked last night thx stevi for that :kickbutt: i needed that i actually wasnt going to but then i remembered you said said just do it so thanks this board is helping me more then you ladies know im wieghing in on friday i'll let you know how it goes gotta go been slammed at work

Fit and Norissa, sorry about the jobs, I hope that something works out. Norissa, I'm with the others on a retail job, sometimes it sucks but the discounts are awful nice. I did retail for years before I became a nurse. I always wanted to work at one of the Disney stores because they give you discounts even on vacations, lol, but we don't have a Disney store here anymore.

Lauren, sorry you didn't get off work til 8pm, I know how those long days feel!! I am going to be glad to be going to 8 hour days in September, even though I will still work a lot of 16 hour days those 8 hour days seem a million times shorter than a 16 hour one, lol.

Holy, I'm sorry Dh will be in Iraq for so long. But I appreciate what your family gives up to help protect our Country!! I hope that the 4 months goes by quickly and he is safe while he is there.

Well I did my workout video last night, gonna do the strength training part tonight. Sold my car today, woohoo, it will help out a lot financially!! Now if my van will just be reliable I'll be doing good!! At least getting it fixed yesterday only took one day and was only 195.00 instead of the 400.00 I originally thought it might be. Today it seems to be running awesome, no problems so far at all!! Hope everyone has had a great day!!!
