Hi everyone! Obviously I'm not that busy at work today. LOL!

Karen - thanks. I really do enjoy this site. Everyone is so supportive and I've found alot of very helpful advice. It's so comforting to know I'm not alone!

So sorry to hear that you are sick. That sounds miserable. Last week I was actually sick all week after getting the flu shot - it knocked me out until Thursday. I've never had that reaction before either!! Scary! Hope you feel better soon!

I'm at work now, this week I'm preparing for my "step-son" to stay with us for three weeks. He's coming on Friday. There's alot of preparation to do with the house and all (especially mentally). Having an eight year old is challenging, especially for me (I don't have any children of my own!).

Take care.

Lisa

Hello all, I am almost back from the land of the dead. I finished my last class tonight, however I do have one more paper due by next Monday. The bad thing about it is it's supposed to be 10 - 12 pages! :ugh: Anyways I am off for just over a month. Then about 5 more gruelling (sp??) months and I will be graduated! yeah!

We don't use the spray butter here, but we do use land-o-lakes real butter. I agree it has much better flavor.

Lisa, I am also glad that you are finding what you need here. It was a lifeline for me.

Karen, I would definately stay away from the garlic! Of course I do that now, but I digress. (sp)

Oh I am getting slap-happy, that means I need to go to bed. Night all.

Hi, Everyone -

Are you getting tired of all these new people yet? Seems like a lot of people have decided to get started before the 1/1 rush.

I'm still learning my way around this web site, so I appreciate your patience. Is this the proper place to introduce myself to this board, or should I start my own thread for it?

Thanks!!

Future Girl! This is a great place to introduce yourself...we would've just told you to come on over here anyway!

Never sick of new people. There will be a huge surge after the new year, then most people will fade away, or find another board that they're more comfortable on.

Hi everyone,

Welcome furure girl! Glad you're here. I just joined this week myself.

Lisa P - glad you're almost done with school. Good luck with your paper. I hated those in school. I've done plenty in my time, so I feel for you!!

I had a really nutritious meal last night - flounder with spices, pasta with spray butter and garlic flavoring and vegetables. It was very, very good!

Today I brought a tray of veggies with light dressing, so I'm hoping that keeps the hunger away!!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Lisa M.

Welcome Lisa M! Glad you like it here. Me too. I love the support!

Everyone have a great night.

Hi guys!! I am new, too. I am 31, married, & have been on my weight loss journey since 11/28. I have not weighed myself yet. I am waiting until the Jan 1. I am a big scale hopper and would be on it everyday cursing it for not moving fast enough if I didn't wait. I just need to get through 15 more days!! I have been working out 6 days a week (The Firm 3 days, Leslie Sansone's strength walk w/ weights 3 days). I just ordered Turbo Jam, too. Hopefully I will get it today. I am looking forward to getting to know everyone one and having weight loss buddies to keep my A** in check!

Well we had a graduation party for my niece tonight (see Lisa there is a light at the end of the tunnel ). Anyway, I had tons of carrots , one small drink, and one bagel sandwich no mayo. I feel pretty good about that!! I WILL make this work!!
