Good Morning!!!
I woke up feeling really guilty cuz I blew my diet on 8 large chocolate chip cookies..I then realized it was in a dream and there were no cookies but I still feel guilty???? Too weird..I swore I had eaten them(I have nothing sweet even in this house)
Lauren--I remember when Peter fell off the counter...K has had so many "head" issues that I panic when that head is involved!!!She is doing great!!!
Phant--congrats on the loss!!! Yeah on the job!!!
Ok--off to save lives today!! Post Katrina days we are very busy!!! NO is getting hospitals back up but we still have about 150,000 more people here which is keeping us busy busy busy!!!
Hello to all...dont have time in mornings to post and not allowed in the evenings d/t the "Princess" needing mom!!!
RR
I know someone asked me about boca burgers and I forgot to mention yesterday that I tried a new kind, Morning Star Grillers, veggie burgers, original. They are really good. I did notice though, that they are 3 points compared to a boca: 1 point (some varieties of boca are 2); so I will have to be cautious of that.
Phan - Congrats on the loss! Congrats on the job! And congrats on son moving home. ~ You've got a lot going on right now. ~ Yes, it is gorgeous here also (Illinois). I get up every morning and run around and open all the windows. It is so nice not to have to have any air or heat on! I love the fall.
Morning everyone. Finally, I can go through my email. Been having troubles for over 2 hours of trying to read it. Guess that's what happens when you use AOL.
Phanta: Congrats on the loss. You go girl. THat's awesome. Glad to hear that your son has moved home and that you got the job. Things are looking up for you. Keep up the good work. No I didn't anything special for my b-day. Just kinda hung out at the house and relaxed some. I made a delicious pot roast with mashed potatoes. So I did splurge a little but I didn't have ice cream or cake so that was good.
Rabbit:Thanks for letting me know about the Boca burgers. I was the curious one. I think I am going to buy some next time I go to the store. I think it is worth trying. I don't think I will be able to get the hubby to try them but heck when he is have a processed chicken patty I can have something that is a bit better for me. Boy you and Phanta got me wishing I was back home living in Iowa right now. The weather here in Vermont has just be horrible the last week and 1/2. Today the sun has actually been shining and I might actually get to take my DD out for a walk and some much needed fresh air and exercise. My brother lives in Stronghurst, Illinois. Not sure how close that is to you. But of course he works in Iowa. LOL..
Way to go :: Lauren :: Like you said every little bit helps. Add all those little drops and they add up big. So keep up the good work.
Stacye: Good to see ya back with us. Have missed ya girl. ^5 for the fantastic loss. You go girl. Hope the furkid is doing better. Nobody likes having a sick kid at home.
Karen: Hope things get better. Just have to start over fresh. I haven't done to well with my eating either. Last night I was munching on leftover veggies that I made. Felt bad. Hubby was like well atleast they are good for you. He just doesn't get it.
RR So glad to hear little one is doing okay. I so hate when my littles get hurt. I remember when my son broke his collar bone. Or should I say his father. He was rough housing him and it broke. Wouldn't take him to the hospital even though I told him he was really hurt. Well, 2 hours later he took him and he called to say. Broken collar bone. Needless to say he felt very guilty about it. Cute dream about the CC Cookies. It's weird how a dream can feel so real. You swear you did it but totally didn't happen.
So nothing else really going on today. Just hanging out waiting for hubby to get butt out of bed so we can all head downtown for a walk. I should just go without him, but it might be our only outing together as family because the weather here stinks. Have a great day all.
I was too busy having fun over the weekend to even get on the computer. I spent all weekend scrapbooking. Then I worked two nights of night shift. So I'm trying to catch up on everything going on. Wow, so many fun exciting things are happening in everyone's life.
Phanta: Congrats on getting that new job!
Congrats to everyone for the loses!
Someone asked me last week when my official weigh in day is. I only try and do it once a month. I Think I'm just going to use the first of each month as my w/i day. I'll keep you all posted on the progress.
Has anyone here ever tried tofu? What does is taste like, and what are some good uses for it? I don't eat that much meat, and would like to try something different. Any suggestions are welcome.
Pearl, Good for you being too busy having FUN!! I had tofu tacos at a friend's house years ago. She didn't tell me they were tofu until after I ate them and said they were yummy! I would've never known! I tried to make them once and it ended up looking and kind of tasting like scrambled eggs! I've had the Boca Crumbles too. They're OK, but a little rubbery. Haven't found a Boca Burger I really like yet.
Annie, Thanks for the cheers!
Rabbit, How do the Morning Star Grillers compare to Boca in texture & taste?
RR, Funny dream!
Phan, The green did look great with the blue, and on me, but for an interview, it wouldn't have been appropriate. I ended up wearing an off-white satin shirt borrowed from my mom. Looked nice. Congrats on the job!!
Karen, DH isn't the "handy" type, huh?
Did I mention I had an interview this AM? I don't think I did. It went well. I expect to hear something possibly later today.
hello all. I lost 2.2 today at weigh in. woohoo! I also got an award (a whistle) for reaching 500 miles.
Annie - my dh does not eat bocas either. No interest there. But my ds does. ~ I am not familiar with Stronghurst, IL. I live near ST. Louis.
Lauren - the Morningstar grillers are actually good. I would not say that about the bocas. I think the bocas are okay. I also used the morningstar grillers veggie crumblers in chilli this week and it was good also. DH even liked it and said he couldn't tell. Once I had a bite that seemed a little bit chewy - and I think it was the crumbler and not a piece of tomato, but I'm not sure. ~ Glad your interview went well and hope you hear something positive.
DH and I are heading out of town to a family wedding this weekend. I'll be back in touch when I can.
Rabbit
Oh, I started a new food journal if someone can sticky it for me!
I've had a busy couple of days. Today was the MOMS Halloween party. Alex went as Thomas the Train. He actually left the costume on for about 15 minutes. Poor thing is so short that he kept tripping over the bottom. He had a pretty good time. Until he kept pulling kids down (he's an enthusiastic hugger, it's not appreciated most of the time!) and we had to leave. I told him if he did it again we were leaving and he did. So we left.
DH got me an early Xmas present: a new MP3 player. I loaded it up and actually walked for 20 minutes on the treadmill while listening. I'm loading some ZZ Top 'cause it invigorates me. That should help the walking!
Rabbit: Congrats on the loss! I stickied your journal. Have fun at the wedding.
Lauren: Hope the interview was successful.
Pearl: It's good to be busy! I'd rather be busy than have time hanging on my hands.
Annie: Hope you got to go on the walk and that it was fun.
Just a quik check in and off to bed!!! Take care all!!!
Karen--SD#2 is a "hugger" and most parents perceive it as "she is trying to choke my child"..SHe means welll but many really go overboard cuz she is handicapped..Kaylee is going as a lepord this year..She was a cat last year and she chose to be a lepord(sp??)...We are taking pics this weekend since they let them play outside in 100 degrees and then brought them in for a pic???Crazy red face, sweaty hair pics!!!
Ok..GOod night!!'
RR
RR & Karen, Peter's nickname is "the hurricaine" for good reason! Enthusiastic is an understatment! He's going to be Spiderman and Robby Hulk.
Karen, I keep forgetting to mention to you, if you're interested, the Halloween party at the firehouse is next Saturday at 1:00.
I did not get the job. I'm pretty disappointed. She said he met with someone at 1:00 that was a better fit.
Rabbit, I wish I had read this before I went shopping. It would've reminded me to buy some. I will have to try them. Congrats on the loss!! Have a good weekend...behave!!
Hey all, well after trying hard and flaking off a few days, and not seeing any results. I've decided to go back to WW. today was day one. I'm at 244.6 as per WW. My home scale still says the dreaded 242. Well hopefully going to weight loss from a different aspect will confuse my body and get it back into gear. Hope everyone is doing great. Busy with school so really haven't had alot of time to post.
