Chris - Not me...I just had a baby!! That's Karen that's trying...I was just explaining FEEP!!
Rhonda, found this, is it similar?

3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil or butter
1/4 cup finely grated fresh Parmigiano-Reggiano
Fresh lemon juice to taste
Directions
1. Cook peas in boiling salted water until just tender, 3 minutes. Drain peas and pulse in a food processor with remaining ingredients until a coarse paste forms. Season with salt and pepper and serve spread on toast. Makes 4 servings.
Rhonda, I myself was wondering what Mashy peas were. Peas are one of my favorite vegies, but that just doesn't sound appitizing. And as far as British foods being foriegn, of coarse(?) they are. (Sorry stress of final week getting to me) We are not part of the UK. I guess I should have used the word international.
Edith, my paper is due tommorrow. (Sat) I am on pg 5 of 15.

I might be a bit similar, but no cheese and I am not sure about the lemon juice. I am pretty sure there is butter in them, and like I said I think someone mentioned mint.

Rhonda, When I'm being good, and I want chocolate or icecream I have a TCBY Sorbet Pop. They're the fudgiest pops I've ever had! They sure don't taste like sorbet either. What diet plan are you following? I know these pops were 1 pt. on WW, but that was the old plan, I don't know if it's changed.
I am not on a formal diet. I have cut back on both fat and calories and am trying to eat more healthy foods. I don't diet as much on the weekends or on holidays. If we are going to a Birthday party, I have cake and ice cream. If we are going out to eat on the weekend (which happens about once a month-maybe) I will splurge and get dessert if I have room when I am done dinner. If we go to the races or a baseball game on the weekend I will have some soda, or a pop corn or whatever. If I deny myself these things I won't last long. Also to help with the sugar and chocolate cravings I try to have either hershey's minatures or kisses here.
Rhonda
I hear you on your mental struggles with the sweets... How do you think you would do if you made lunchtime your biggest meal of the day? Maybe that would help jump-start your losing streak...
I never thought of that, maybe I will have to try that. It might be difficult for me to do that when I see everyone else enjoying their dinner so much.

Edith-I'm kind of struggling with the snack attacks too. I don't feel like sweet stuff but gimme a bag of chips or something salty and I'm a goner. I don't know why I'm doing it either. Maybe I'm missing something nutritionally.
I don't know what sort of diet you are doing but what about pretzel sticks? they are low in fat and not horrible on the calories but if you are counting carbs probably not a good idea.
LBH-Oh gosh! Is my face red! I even knew it was Karen's post. My brain is sooooo gone lately.
RRosey-I can't eat pretzels. I know it sounds wierd but I have a really bad allergy to yeast and wheat. So I can't eat pretzels, pizza, raised bread, donuts...etc. You'd think that would be a savior for me but its not. I found other things to binge on that are starchy...like chips and potatoes.
Hi all you other gals. Any suggestions for me? I'm an afternoon binger and as you read up above...allergic to yeast and wheat. Fruit sends my sugar level sky high in the afternoon too and makes matters worse.
Chris, how about nuts...like almonds, they're supposed to be good for you, and it's protein, not starch? Apple & natural peanut butter is my favorite snack these days...a good mix. I've got a real sweet tooth and I have snacking issues.
Lauren, Where do you get your natural peanut butter. I've tried some from Walmart and it didn't taste so good. I should get some more celery and laughing cow cheese. That is a snack I loved when I was doing South Beach. Yum Yum! I guess I don't stay prepared for those snack attacks. I let the pantry and the fridge run low and then complain when there's nothing healthy to eat.
Yay Lisa! Enjoy your week off - make sure you get some serious PAMPERING in
Hi to everyone else too. I just can't mention what I've been eating aarrgghhh BUT I did stick to my exercise and wine-drinking goals, so 2 out of 3 ain't bad. AND my footy team won last night (happy dance) - they haven't chalked up a back-to-back since 2002 so I am stoked . Go Doggies!
Can you tell I am NOT talking about my eating habits? I so have to pull up my socks, really...
have a great day everyone
Chris, I got Smucker's Natural PB at the grocery store. Actually, I got the No Salt Added one, and I'm sorry I did, it's tooo bland, like eating plain ol' peanuts. I have had the regular Smucker's Natural and it's good...this coming from a die-hard Jif girl! I've also had Shop Rite brand chunky natural pb and it was OK too, I just prefer creamy.
Lisa, YEAH!! Enjoy your week off...wish it was more!
LB, glad you stuck with at least two of your goals! Every little bit counts!
Had a long day today, went to a Ladies Luncheon with my mom, aunt and gran...and Robby...at my aunt's church. I spent most of the time walking Robby in the stroller, but it was nice anyway.
Lauren, I'll have to look for the Smucker's pb at the store. I guess I'm too zoned in to looking at Jif and Skippy...etc.
LB-What in the world is a footy team? I have never heard that one.
Lisa-Hope your presentation went well..and ya got a good grade! I see your doing the happy dance for the end of the semester. Summer school, now. Yikes! Really I wish I had the time, because I'd love to go back to school.
Gotta get stuff done now. Kayla's birthday party is today. Darling little daughter #2 is 6 yrs old today. They get so big so fast. By baby baby is going to be 3 yrs. old in August. Where does the time go?????
