We have Krogers and Meijers. Meijers has more of a selection, but I don't think they are in PA. Krogers might carry it though.

what part of PA are u in? I used to go to the Poconos 500 race on Fathers Day weekend, but not this yr or last. I love NASCAR!!

News flash!!

Nicole is better...she's bossy, tantrum throwing, joking...etc. Can't decide if it I liked it better when she was sick or not. Just joking. Yesterday she hardly moved. Today she's flying all over the house again and getting into everything.

I did really good with eating yesterday, not by choice though. I held Nicole for most of the day and slept some too. I was overtired from no rest the night before.

What is this about "mushy peas"? I'm sorry but that just doesn't sound so good to me. I'm not really a pea fan either. I'll have to check out the website after I'm done here. I'm trying to come up with something different for my daughter's birthday this Sunday. She's invited all the kids from her school. I'm thinking that I may be way in over my head. She wants it to have the Barbie PRincess and the Pauper theme. Any suggestions? I'm getting a pinata for sure. She's been wanting one of those for a long time. Other than that, I am clueless.

Hi everyone
Sending more brain strength to you Lisa (not that I have much to spare but you can have it, I'm not using it
So glad all the tots are better and charging around as they do
Welcome back Rhonda! I thought you'd gone - good to see you again
that's so funny - "British food" in the foreign section LOL. But I am appalled to hear that you don't have (meat) pies or fish & chips in the US!!! My DH wants to visit the US but this news may put him off LOL
We don't eat 'mushy peas' here - although in Adelaide (South Australia) they have a revolting dish called a pie floater which is a perfectly good pie in a dish of mushed up peas - with sauce (ketchup?)!! I love peas - one of my "gimme food now or I'll bite your hand" snacks is a dish of frozen/microwaved peas - carbs, kind of sweet and cute looking too. mmmmm
Have a good day everyone

LB, I'm with you on the peas, I love them! Not canned though, and I don't like pea soup, so I probably wouldn't care for mushy peas! And there's British food in the US...just not in the booneys of Pennsylvania!

Jen, sorry to hear you're sick, I hope you're feeling better soon! Hope that 4 lbs. stays off too!

Chris, glad to hear Nicole is feeling better! How old is she? My cousin's wife had a tea party for all the girls in the family for her DD's 5th or 6th bday. She made little tea sandwiches and had a little tea set and all! Along with juice, milk and other munchies. Very scary about DH, I did not know the body worked that way! Glad he's feeling better!

Newmyers, your pic didn't show up...there's no link there. If you need a hand, let me know!

Lisa, hope you're keeping it together with finals! Hang in there!

Karen, yes, exercise counts! Remember when we used to keep track...every 20 minutes of exercise/activity counts as a mile?! Come on...FEEP!!!

OK, hope everyone's having a great evening!

Hey, I remember FEEP! I should have enough FEEP points that I don't have to exercise for the rest of the month. I think DH has decided that if it's at all possible, I'm getting PG this cycle. We're talking 4x's a day, 3 x's a day and only 1 day off! He said he missed me 'cause he was gone for a week. Thank goodness they cancelled his two week trip. I wouldn't even have time to post for a couple of weeks.

For those of you that don't know...probably most of you, since most of you are new...

FEEP = Fun Earned Exercise Points!

I haven't ever heard of either of those stores. We are in the south west part of PA. The Poconos isn't too too far from here. PA is such a big state though...no where near the size of TX or anything but a lot bigger than MD where I grew up.

Default Mushy Peas

Mushy peas are very good, especially with fish and chips. I saw a lot of the Brits eating them on the fish and chips...now I wouldn't go that far but it is good on the side. I think someone told me they put mint in them. I didn't think I would like them because they just didn't look good.

Default no loss since a little after Christmas

I haven't lost any weight since a little after Christmas. I am still exercising and trying to stick with the diet. (I have been having more at dinner lately) I am beginning to get very frustrated with it. I want cookies and ice cream...and if I am not losing weight anyway...why not? I haven't actually gone for that but it is how I feel and what makes it so easy to have a heaping helping of mashed potatoes at dinner. I am hoping that when the warm weather actually sets in we will be out running around with the kids in the yard most evenings and maybe that will kick start my losing back up.

Hi All,

Rhonda, When I'm being good, and I want chocolate or icecream I have a TCBY Sorbet Pop. They're the fudgiest pops I've ever had! They sure don't taste like sorbet either. What diet plan are you following? I know these pops were 1 pt. on WW, but that was the old plan, I don't know if it's changed.

I"m doing pretty good on my goals this week, I've had a gallon or more of water each day and I've been to Curves twice, and going to try and get there again tomorrow AM.

How's everyone doing?

Default Hey ladies!!

I've had a challenging week here...I am really craving the sweet stuff!! Last night I had a knock-down, drag-out with my concious over having some cookies or ice cream...I finally just went to bed and read--it was really painful, though. I was also so hungry at 5pm (we eat at 6pm) that I had a huge handful of sunflower seeds--NOT GOOD!! I don't know why I am struggling so with my appetite this week--any ideas? (and no, I'm not pms)

I'm doing good with my exercise, and my sit-ups/push-ups, and even squats, too!! I am feeling more energized, and stronger every day--that is a definite plus!

I wanted to say "hi" to ameg!! I am also from CT, I live in Danbury, where do you live? Congrats on your 16# loss!!

LBH, I'll have to look for those TCBY pops, they sound yummy!! Can you get those at the grocery store?

Rhonda, I hear you on your mental struggles with the sweets... How do you think you would do if you made lunchtime your biggest meal of the day? Maybe that would help jump-start your losing streak...

Lisa, probably by the time you read this your classes will be over...WooHooo!!! No more stress!! (well, for a little while, anyway )

Edith, I get them in a big box at BJ's! I think you can get them in the grocery store though...if not, if you have a TCBY shop around, they probably sell them to go.

Hi Ameg!

I'm back!!!!!!!!!!!! Nicole has decided to share her little "bug". Now I'm coughing and feeling yucky and so is DH. The poor guy isn't going to get a break.

LBH-FEEP? Too good!!!! Well hopefully you get PG. With that kind of strenuous workout schedule, it should work. I have declared myself done with being PG. I got 3 girls. Everyone says to try for a boy. Odds are saying, it would be another girl. Besides I can't with the meds I'm on. I have RA and am on a chemo type drug to keep it at bay a little.

Edith-I'm kind of struggling with the snack attacks too. I don't feel like sweet stuff but gimme a bag of chips or something salty and I'm a goner. I don't know why I'm doing it either. Maybe I'm missing something nutritionally.

Hi to the rest of you gals. I'll get back here later. I have a mischief maker missing in action. When Nicole feels better after being sick, she takes trouble to a whole new level.
