LOL!!!!!!! I just laughed so hard, because honestly that's what I feel like it is. I feel like once I'll reach the 140s I'll be UNSTOPPABLE!! Like I could walk on water, or I could fly. No joke, I can't for the life of me remember seeing as how long it's been. Either way, we'll all be flying together. lol

I've never been below 180 before so each new decade brings all kinds of surprises for me.

158.4 today. Bah. That's the same as I was on the 3rd. My ticker is correct again at the very least.
Logically, I know this stall is lifting related, but I'm a largely illogical person so it has been hard to come to grips with it. I don't want to give it up! I'm really loving it.

I'm glad you are doing weight training, I wish I had the strength to do so right now. I need to get my bum in gear and get it done!! :) Don't worry the scale will come down and follow suit!!

I weighed in at 155.6 this morning. I will make this remainder of the month count. I'd love to surprise my sister when she comes back from vacation and be at goal, but that's pushing it. 14 days to lose 10lb. Haha unless by some miracle... ??

Anyways, I know what I'm getting myself into by going for the last "10" but it'll take a lot of hard work and dedication. Oh well. I'm so grateful I have this forum!!!

fyreflie24 05-17-2012 10:07 AM

160.8...

OK so I'm feeling like posting here has been good luck so I hope you all don't mind :) I hope tomorrow!!! :)

 Thistleberry:
I've been in the 140's in the past (pre-pregnancy) and years ago, even the 130's, and no, no superpowers. Although, I do remember when I was under 145 my body just felt lighter and sexier. Haha.
What seems like the rapture for me is the 120's. Holy Moly. The 130's will be good, but the 120's just seem like turning the clock back or something. Maybe that's it for me. Maybe I'm freaking out because I'm about to turn 30. My goal is 125 by 30. I guess we'll see. With the looks of chicken nuggets, fries and ice cream all in one day (though they were all super tiny portions) .... I should probably focus more on today and less on 25 lbs from now. ;)

Congratulations on being oh-so-close!!

OMG don't even get me started on the 120s !! HAHAHAHA I would probably start walking the streets like I'm queen of the world or something, they would have to have an intervention for me and say "You're not ALL that honey, sit your a$$ down!"

But for real, I think any weight we are satisfied with. And with all the hard work we have been doing to lose this weight, I think we do deserve to think we have super powers, at least a little :p

Excellent. Sounds close enough to a superpower to me!

I'm trying really hard to believe that! Some days are a lot better than others. I've kind of told myself that I'll give it until the end of the month. I don't plan to quit if at the end of this month I haven't lost, but I figure I ought to see something by then and just repeating to myself that to myself ("By the end of the month there will be a change. There will! Just stick with it.") seems to placate me.

To further complicate matters, my view of myself still does not include "working out". I am not a person who does that. When I go to Bodyflow or Zumba or whatever I am not working out, I'm just going to class. When I go for a jog I'm not working out, I'm just going around the block. (Nevermind the fact that it's nearly 4 miles of blocks ) So now that I'm lifting? Man, I don't even know what to call that in my head. It's almost like I have to admit that I am indeed now a person who "works out" and who, dare I say it, enjoys exercise. Holy heeeell...

All that said, I really can't recommend it enough. I've only been doing it since the 6th so there haven't been any noticable improvements or anything like that, but I love the way it makes me feel.

Thanks everyone! And especially to CarmelKitty for your whoosh wishes :) Excited to be here! It's good timing too; will keep me on plan and honest for the weekend!! Beach is here in a little over a month!

mrslynah 05-21-2012 11:16 AM

Helloooo, ladies! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I started IF, intermittent fasting, this weekend. For those who have not heard of it, there are many variations, but the one I am doing is a 16 hour fast, then an 8 hour eating window. So, I stop eating at 9 pm and don't eat again till 1 pm the next day.. or 8 and 12, whichever. Then, at the end of my fast, I work out as hard as I can. The theory is that if you work out at the end of your fast, your body goes directly for your fat stores. In additon, I am finding that it is really helpful in controlling my appetite, which surprises me. It's like I know I can eat at 12 today, so I'm not freaking out about food. Then, when it's time to eat, I can enjoy my 1200 calories over the course of 8 hours, and go to bed nice and full. And, far from what I would have believed before my research, IF is actually very good for your health. There is research that indicates that it improves long-term health and longevity.
Anyway, I just wanted to update, because I am SO proud of myself.
Happy Monday, everyone!
