Hey everybody! I know I've been AWOL lately. Why is it that it's so easy to stick with something for a couple of weeks, but pushing past that and keeping it up is SO HARD!!?? It's so frustrating because then you just revert back to old habits, you know the rest.

Anyway! It sounds like several of you had a fun Halloween. I was pretty boring this year. We live on a farily busy stree with no side walks and I don't think there are many kids in the neighborhood, so we didn't even do candy. I think last year there were like maybe 5 kids.

HealthyMe: Who came up with the smart idea to lump all the holidays together anyway?!? Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Valentine's day...All of that screams candy, pies, and drinks. I agree!!! No kidding. Just when you're doing good, here come all the holidays, just spaced out enough that you can regain control for a week or so and then bam! Another one hits.

Amber: I hope you feel better soon! I hate being sick when I can't breathe very well. I'd rather have diarhea.

It's too bad so many of us are feeling crappy for different reasons. I feel like my head has been stuck up my @$$ lately. My brain is just in so many different places and I have so much to do that I turn into a turtle and want to hibernate, which of course only makes things worse, so I am forgetting to do important things (like turning off my car at work this morning.... seriously!! A 1/2 hour after I got to work my coworker came in and was like, did you know your car is running? Where the **** is my head!!!)

Well, it's a new month. Hopefully we can all end it better than it started !

Ooo, and check out my new avatar. Javon Walker... Too bad he's out for the season.

Oh no, Fuller! Don't feel bad... I can see myself doing that. I hope things get a little less hectic for you.

Well, I got in a good workout at the gym yesterday, so I started off the November challenge right. Now, if I could get my eating on track, I'd be in good shape!

...slinks back in...

Ahem, uh... hi guys! It's been a couple weeks. My life has been so busy and I haven't been taking time out for me - i.e. backslide! It's amazing how much weight you can gain in 2 weeks of just not dealing with it - lots of water weight too, of course. Obviously, 3FC fell by the wayside as well - sorry!
I'm back in control now, even though life is still busy, busy, busy - I've got to schedule "me" in somehow no matter what.

Okay, i think i need new pants. I can't seem to fit in the ones i wear anymore. Every five steps i have to pull them up. I can't believe they look like they are loose and boy cut, when they were skin tight a few months ago.

That's awesome trnsfrm! I wish my pants were that loose. Mine are a little baggy and I have to keep them up with a belt, but they're not falling off, I can't wait till they do.

I went to the gym yesterday and did 45min on the elliptical and about 20min of weight training and I woke up this morning and it feels like something is pinched at the top right of my leg towards my butt. It hurts so bad when I walk!! I really want to go to the gym today and do the elliptical again, but I don't even know if I can. I guess I'll at least get to the gym to see if I can and if not maybe the bike would be okay on my leg. I'm doing well on my eating for the first time in a few weeks. It feels good!

Welcome back Jenicra....I'm glad your back!

Jdogg: WE HAVE TO GET PAST THIS 170 CRAP!!! I'm really POd so I am thinking about starting to do two a day workouts...try and rev something up. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I'm tired of stepping on the scale and seeing 170 something... We can BEAT this! WE aren't quitters...so good luck to you this Week, good job on your good start this month!

Trnsfrm: wow, have fun shopping for a smaller size of pants!

Haley: I don't know if you have tried this or not, but maybe ask a trainer at the gym what stretch they suggest you do to relieve the tense muscle. Also try putting a heating pad on it for a bit...help relax the muscle some. I hope it goes away for you to work out soon, but maybe you just need to rest it.

Happy Hump Day!

haleys - Thank you! If your pants are getting loose thats a GREAT sign! Congrats to you too!
If you can't do any cardio today due to the pain, do some strength training on your arms. I would reccommend stretching it out for a good 20 minutes. If you have a partner maybe get him to massage it out?

spillthebeans - Thanks! I think i have some that got too small, so i think i'll be able to fit in them again. I won't be shopping till i get more toned, i don't want to have to buy a new pair in a few months again. But maybe i'll buy a pair for the accomplishment.

Hello Ladies. I've been slacking for the last couple weeks as well, but I'm back into my routine again. I really need to keep up with things, next semester is going to be a hard one... between working full time and taking anatomy & physiology and an ethics class! I find that working out really reduces my stress levels. I'm going to need low stress to get through a&p.

I wasn't home on Halloween, so we didn't have any candy here. Besides, I can't eat as much candy as I used to be able to. Thank God!

Good morning ladies,

I can't believe it's Thursday already. Time has been /flying/ by lately! Only 3 more weeks until Thanksgiving, which means 2 more weeks until the show I'm stage managing at the local community theater goes up. Would it be wrong of me to go to the actors' houses and tie them to chairs and make them repeat lines to me until they've got them? Hehe. Also 3 more weeks to lose 5 pounds. I can do it!!! Oh Thanksgiving...I'm working on how I'll deal with that food already. I'm going to need a good plan since I LOVE stuffing!

I had to give presentations at work yesterday which sent me in a tizzy all week. They went well, though. We went to a Mexican restaurant for lunch (!) but I just ordered a quesadilla a la carte and skipped the rice, beans, etc. sides and huge portions of a regular meal. This morning I logged onto fitday and was pleasantly surprised to find my calories for yesterday were somewhere between my losing-maintaining range. Exercise is ok - I'm /still/ having trouble making myself increase the intensity of my running but I'm doing it when scheduled, even if I'm walking instead of running.

Sara - Good luck with physiology! I remember it was tough...but you can do it!

trnsfrmnreplace, congrats! A smaller size! What a great feeling.

Fuller, hang in there! I hope things calm down.

Megan- 5 pounds, that's doable! You can do it! I have 18 pounds to lose by Thanksgiving.... or at least that was my goal. If I lose another 5 pounds by then I would be happy though.

trnsfrmnreplace, I wish there was a guy around to massage it out! I woke up not too long ago and it actually doesn't hurt anymore. I didn't do cardio yesterday, but I'm just going to get back in the gym today, it sucks that I missed a day, but it only has to be one.
