Today's victory: Having just ONE slice of pizza at the pizza birthday lunch at school. Go me! Now I'm eating a leftover LF enchilada to help fill my tummy! (-; It felt good to have the necessary self-control to handle the situation well. And, the funny thing is, I would've gone without it (it wasn't that good), but felt that I "had" to have one, given the specific situation I was in.

Go Jen - me and the pizza have issues as well. I think it's a common problem, judging from all the "i stayed away from the pizza" talk in the NSV thread! :LOL:

Today I not only did my usual walk down the block to get my latte (the coffee shop employees call me "Triple Grande Sugar Free Skim Girl") but I also walked to meet my parents for lunch, then walked to the bank, then to pay my utilities bill, then to pay cable, then to the post office, then to pay my gas bill, then into the cute little shoe store on the way, then home. It was a relatively short walk but a lot longer than the two steps to my car or just throwing stamps on and putting the bills in the mail box. I wore my pedometer and noticed the walk was 2,700 steps (a little over 1 mile).

That seems like a Non-scale victory to me because I did it, not just thought about it. A perfect way to spend 20 minutes on a beautiful 70 degree day.

Way to go SD Chick! I admire you walking places instead of driving. It is amazing how reliant we've become on technology to do things for us instead of us getting up and moving. Keep up the activity!

Ok, major spring shopping spree this past weekend! And though I have about 20 pounds to go, it was so exciting! I got capri's in a 10 (amazing!) and a 12, size 10 summer-weight dress pants (they're still snug, but will be great in about 10 pounds), and lots of cute summer tops in smalls & mediums. It felt SO GOOD to face the "naked season" (you know, summer!) and have some warm-weather options. I swear that ALONE has made this all worth it. I had to share my fun! (-;

I totally will not make my April Fool's Day goal of breaking 130, but I had an insane NSV today that makes me not care so much.

I have a million weddings this summer as all of my friends have decided to get married at approximately the same time. I have a dress that is perfect for evening weddings, but nothing that would work for an afternoon wedding. I started shopping around this afternoon to see what was out there because I have about a month before wedding season begins.

I didn't find anything but I fit into size 2 clothes!!! Granted, this was at Banana Republic and J Crew, where things are cut REALLY generously, and I was trying on dresses and skirts where the chunkiness of my thighs is not an issue. All vanity sizing aside, it felt really good to fit into a size that I haven't seen in years and years (and years).

I was being a dork today (as usual ) and flexing in front of the mirror - then I noticed that I actually had muscle definition - sure, flab dangles from the arms, but there was some MAJOR muscles in the bicep/tricep/shoulder/underarm/chest area. I must be the chubbiest female bodybuilder ever! Plus, I beat my fiance at an arm wrestling match last night. And considering he's a 6'5" 260 lb. mass of muscle - I was darn impressed with myself! Plus, it surprised him, that's for sure!

I had two NSV's today ---

1) I discovered that I LOVE TO RUN! I ran 15 minutes hard on the treadmill and I felt like I could have gone 15 more. This is a huge victory for me b/c I used to run 2 minutes and feel like I was going to die - running was my least favorite thing in the world and now I can't wait to get back to the treadmill tomorrow!

2) The golf pro at the public course in my area played one hole with me today and asked me to join the club womens' team! I am so psyched! I haven't golfed competitively in 4 years and I can't wait to do it again!

I had a NSV today-
After not stepping a foot on the treadmill in over 2 months I got on today and ran for 30 mins at 5mph. The last time I used the treadmill was in February and I was running and walking for 30 mins. Today it just seemed so easy, the 2.5 miles seem to fly by. I can't remember when I could run for 30 mins straight, pre-kids I guess, when I was still in the Army. I was so psyched after running, with this big ****-eating grin on my face!!! Woo-Hoo!!!

I actually woke up at 5 am and was on the tread mill for 45 minutes! (It will really be a victory if I can do this again tomorrow)

Ok, so I have a pizza obsession. I will admit. But last night was amazing!!! I only had two pieces instead of four!!!! I rock! I didn't even really want more like normal I actually listened to my body when it was full. Oh, and like Tuesday morning I got up at 5 to exercise again. It's hard in the morning though. I can tell my body isn't ready to be super active. But at least I got up!

I went shopping and I fit into the 12's! I wouldn't wear them outside of the house just yet, but I didn't have to struggle to button and/or zip them either. I'd guess that they'll fit perfect in about 10 lbs. - so by summer, I'm hoping to be a beautiful, beautiful size 12, which I have not been since I was 8 or 9 probably. So, really, ever. The smallest size EVER. Oh, and I bought a new running top for the warm weather. And it's an L, not an XXL or even an XL, but an L. Of course, across these HUGE boobs of mine, it's tight, but it's supposed to be snug. Oh, and I found my old measurements from long, long ago (okay, well not THAT long ago) that show my progress thus far. I'll post those later, once I get home, along with some new ones I'll be taking this evening.
