I plan on staying on plan through the holidays, but it makes it easier for us because we aren't having a family get together this year, it will just be me and my husband. However, TOM is going to mess up my weigh ins. I'm hoping that I will still make my new years goal of 189!

Your woosh is on it's way! No worries. I have many family gatherings, but since I am gluten free, I only get vegetables, no mac and cheese, and other other things filled with wheat.
My weight has gone a bit bonkers due to TOM being super evil today (merry xmas today). I weighed in at 192.5 today, hopefully it will all come off soon. I was really good food wise today, 1480 calories total and 45 min workout on the elliptical. I even budgeted my food to have 280 calories of peppermint ice cream for dessert. delicious. I just really want to make my new years goal of 189...
Great job, claygirl, I have not been good this holiday season. I'm done with the sweets and am ready to get my head back in this. Goal is not far away.
Hello All,
so my question is: for those of you that exercise how do you feel? Let me explain. I was walking/jogging 3 miles a day for the entire summer, not a lb budged even with careful eating. So I joined IP, I know that it was against protocol to exercise during the first 2 wks, I have a very active life on the farm anyhow. I asked my coach if I could start back to it. Her advice was NO. If I go back to that, causing myself to "huff n puff" I would get more hungry and potentially fall off the diet; craving food! Furthermore, she said that exercise would NOT initiate more wt loss, just hunger! That's what I mean, do any of you feel starved craving more calories???? thanks all

This may be a question that could be better answered in the IP part of the forum. When I exercise, I eat back part of what I burn because that is what works best for me weightloss wise. You cannot do that using IP protocol. They have a particular system that works the way they've calculated.
I went up to 183.5 the past few days and now I'm back to 182.3. Phew. I will call that a win to be the weight that I started the holiday season. Now to get back on track, no sweets.
I started exercising a few months ago and it has helped my weightloss. However, I'm exercising for health, not necessarily to lose weight. I eat back about half of the calories I burn. You can't do intense exercise and not eat back anything, you would probably get too hungry, not to mention you need to provide protein and carbs to help your muscles repair after exercise. I do feel better exercising though, it helps me feel strong.
I don't know much about IP, but I know it's very strict, so you should probably stick with that for a while. Maybe when you're on a less strict phase you could add in exercise?
I'm doing calorie counting, with clean eating this time rather than squeezing chocolate into my calorie count :P, and exercise 3-4 times a week.
I hope this works! I'm so sick of feeling unhappy about my weight.
What's worse is I don't think 20lb will be enough, from looking at weights and body shapes I've seen on tumblr, but I'm just sticking to 20lb for now :P.

I lost 20 lbs once tracking on livestrong.com . Calorie counting works well, I just think this time around that I need to learn how to eat better without counting calories or pp points.
I have had a migraine two days in a row. Went to bed with it last night, woke up with it, went back to bed with it, woke up again. I've taken my migraine/nausea medicine once yesterday, and once today. If it doesn't go away, I may try to go to the doctor. Ugh. It could just be all this rain.
It has been a fantastic year for me. I may have not made it back to goal, but I'm looking at my lifestyle in a different way.
Goals for this year:
-Make my weight goal, and maybe a few lbs more.
-Work on baby steps from the Total Money Makeover. Hope to put a huge dent in BS2.
-Start preparing to add to our family
