Default CONGRATS!!!

Way to go Tummy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am stil having a hard time with sticking to Atkins and exercising...I wasn't home at all last night until 10 so I went straight to bed and I had pizza to top it off because my mohter-in-law ordered it because we were helping her and it was quick and easy... So far today I have been doing good and with me all it takes is 1 day of sticking to it and then I can keep on. Seeing Tummy hit 199 makes me want to jump back on and hit 169... I can't wait!!!

Thank you, thank you. Golfer hun, it sure does get harder the farther down you go so keep it up! I plan on joining you at 169 very shortly ok well maybe a few months from now but that is shortly enough for me! I'll race you to 159, ok, lol.

Keep fighting!

It's on...I lost 15lbs in no time at all and got so discouraged when it didn't continue to fall off...not I have to get my mind back into it and I will Race you to 159...Maybe it will give me the kick in the butt that I need!!! I am trying right now to think of things that I can have for lunch other than cottage cheese... I am such a picky eater that I don't ever know what to do for lunch. All I want is a can of pringles...BUT I won't do that!!! I promise. I promised my husband that I would get back in gear, he's been doing well, but I have been struggling since I have fallen into the chips and chocolate again, you see how much of an addiction it is!! When you stop and have just a little and you can't control it anymore, you know that you need to stay away from the stuff!!! Maybe if I think of it like Herroine I won't do it :-)

Ok.. didnt have time to train for 5k.. so reverting back to original goals.. although I am doing bad

I'm just feeling frustrated and depressed in regards to weight loss. I just want the last 5-10 to just come off. I don't want to work for it.. I have no idea what my problem is because I know that I need to work on it to lose weight. I guess on the plus side I have maintained for the most part.

Grrr.

Ok. So today I started Atkins and I plan on working out everyday until I leave on Thursday (to visit parents).

Tonic. Please don't over-do it okay? I am worried about you. If you are going to do Atkins, please be careful how much exercise you do, because you need carbs to workout...BE sure to take a multi-vitamin! Good luck!!

Thanks Carolyn. I'll try to listen to my body and see if it isn't getting enough fuel. I have a multi vitamin.. just need to be better at taking it.

Thanks for the support!

Very true about the exercise thing, I've had to up my calorie intake quite significantly since I started exercising a few days ago, (wonders never cease.) My dr. said that the calories were most important for exercising though, your body burns fat after about 15 minutes if you're working in target range but the vitamins are essential! Good luck tonic.

We are in the home stretch ladies!!! Can you believe August is almost over? So much has happened in the last month! This is the last week to accomplish your August goals. But don't get down in the dumps if you're not even close to accomplishing them because September goals are right around the corner .

I am not even close to this month's goals so I am already writing Septembers!! I have only lost 2 pounds this month... they both of them were last week so another couple this week and I am half way to my realistic goal weight!! I would like to be back to 125-130, though I feel that would be SKINNY and I don't have that body type so I think 145 is good...I will rejudge once I hit that mark.

I am excited that it has been a few months and I have only lost...I haven't gained!! That alone is a great feeling. Even when I stumpled and ate bad for a week or 2 I gained maybe a pound...so that is even more comforting and motvating to get back in gear and get this weight off!!

Default Re-cap on my goals....one week to go

I just looked back and read my goals from the first of August...I'm happy to see that I've pretty much met them all! I had wanted to lose a minimum of 7 lbs. and so far this month it's been 11! Plus, I've still got a week left, so hopefully another pound or two will be gone by then.
Re: making my transition back to work with the new habits intact, today was our first full day back at school w/ all the kids (I teach preschool, 3 yr. olds) and so far, so good! In fact, I was WAY too busy today to even THINK about eating when I wouldn't need to. I'm excited about my progress and looking forward to setting some new goals for September.

Default Well...

So I wasn't successful this month.. nor have I been for several months. I have pretty much stayed the same weight for the last 3 months.. which is good and bad.

I've decided to take a hiatus from focusing on weight loss. So I might pop in now and then.. but I'm not really going to be setting goals. I'm just going to do what I can.

I might change my mind in a few weeks.. but I feel as though my disappointment in myself is bringing me down. I'm overcomitted in regards to work, school, and now planning a wedding. I just really need to take a break. I will continue to work out, but I just wont beat myself up about not.

i wish all you ladies a successful month of Sept.. and maybe things will look better for me next month or a few months down the road.

Okay so here is my round-up for the month:

1. Exercise 3 times a week. - 85% Did a lot better then usual on this one.

2. Make smart eating choices (duhhhhhh!!! but sometimes I zone out on this one) - 95%- I'm proud of myself for this one. I have definitely been making smarter choices.

3. Drink more water. Try for 64 ounces a day but if not that then as much as I can. 50% - I'm sad that I haven't done so good on this one. I need to bump it up this coming month.

4. Stay away from the icecream!!! - 100% - I have stayed away from it!!! Woo hoo

5. Lose a pound a week - Okay this time no mistakes that means I should be at 162.2 by the 31st. Not hard at all right?!?!? - 50% - Nope I didn't get this one. I'm at 164.4 today I started doing really well at the end of the month so hopefully it carry's on to next month.

6. Don't give up and continue to stay motivated. - Well I can say at least 98% for this one. The majority of the month I was pumped and ready to lose some weight.

On to next month
