I tried it to help kill my gallstones not to lose weight, those things are just myths theres no magic solution for weight loss. But I did try it to kill my gallstones (also probably a myth but i was desperate) and its the nastiest thing you will ever drink. ever.

I've heard about apple cider vinegar, but never tried it. However, I've tried pomegranate vinegar & blackberry vinegar (mix it with water) & those are really good! Not sure if it helps with weightloss, but good for antioxidants, vitamins, & whatnot. (:

I don't know if it works for weight loss, but I've used it to help with congestion. Here's a drink that tastes good...

1 cup hot water
2 capfuls of ACV
a good squirt of lemon juice
1 packet stevia
optional- dashes of ground ginger and cinnamon

Look what I found on Google... they're old though...

http://www.jacn.org/content/24/3/158.full

" complementary foods, such as vinegar or peanut products, when added to meals, may attenuate meal-time glycemia promoting satiety and reduced energy intake"

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed?D...ubmed_RVDocSum

"The present work was designed to investigate health effects of cider vinegar using mice as experimental model. Groups of female ICR (CD-1) mice were treated with daily oral doses of 0.17, 0.51 and 1.02 ml of the vinegar/kg body weight for 4 weeks. Cider vinegar induced a significant reduction in weight gain in animals treated with 0.51 ml/kg while others showed no significant differences in weight gain."

It's kinda weird that the mice who got the most vinegar weren't significantly affected. Ah well. I doubt that ACV is that big of a deal. Eating right and exercising is where it's at

I used to drink ACV to help with my problematic skin and honestly it was way too nasty to keep doing. But I would be willing to try again of it would help.

Did it help your skin at all while you were doing it? I ask because I could drink vinegar from the bottle, and my skin ain't so hot.

While I was drinking it my skin improved a little bit. I started applying it to my skin and it made me break out badly. I think it was exfoliating my skin and clearing out my pores, but I was too embarrassed at the time to continue since I would have to be without make up.

Has anyone else done anything like this before?

I've heard about it, and for some people it seemed to be the miracle cure. Can never tell with skin though. I guess the point of ingesting is to change your body's ph levels to attack the acne from the inside.

For the record, a lot of people swear by using their own urine as a toner, so... :P

Either way, if you've ever gone to Acne.org, they have a forum with a million subsections for different cures, like using packing tape every day on your face to exfoliate the dead skin cells, using a baby brush on your face, Neosporin masks every night or every other night, rubbing strawberries on your face, crushed pill masks-stuff like that.
