iconised ghost Thanks! haha I laughed xD

sgregg Thanks that means so much to me...you have no idea.... seems like everyone is against me and my sons father... they dont want us together especially my mother so us working things out and getting a place together maybe down the road shell come around! You get your loss on Friday Im rooting for YOU!! lol

torito Glad the midterm went well... I dont miss school at all so stressful at times... and OMG you're going to love Mexico. I cant remember if you mentioned where in Mexico you were going but its pretty much all really nice... When I went on my cruise I thot I was in Heaven! it really is that beautiful and gorgeous and stress- releasing and youll never want to leave lol! Enjoy your time there and take lots and lots of pics!! haha thats cute...star wars. Thats too bad about your neice tho... do you try to tell her no when shes over at all... I find that thats what I try to do when Im at my brothers cause they never told her no... recently just started because I started Bit***** about the hitting all the time and her not listening so I started doing it myself she dont do it now when Im there at least not in front of me...lol I hate girl drama ugh dont miss that either... lol My 2 best friends moved to British Columbia and the other is in Vet school in Australia right now for 4 years shell be home in 2 now I think so I dont really have to deal with that anymore cause we all barely get to talk being so busy and all.. sometimes I miss the girl nights but never the talking behind backs and crap lol So sorry to hear about your nephew.. Autism can be a lot to deal with if its really severe... but thats good that the government is going to help her out with it. I would get on that reimbursement stuff ... My brother and his girlfriend are part of LEAP which is a program for young parents who are in school and dont have money for babysitting so they pay the sitter $30 a day and for their gas money to come get her etc.... they were supposed to start paying my sister in law one lump some then divide it if need be amongst the babysitters.... this was 3 MONTHS ago.... no one has been paid including my grandparents who babysat her for almost 2 weeks... thats $150 plus gas a week they owe her and she has yet to get... and theyre not as well off either. but my sister and law keeps putting it off and isnt saying anything so they dont pay. :/

Not much going on today, Aidens dad is coming over tonight for a visit and were supposed to go look at a couple more houses tonight but I think we really like the one we looked at last night... Its kind of a gloomy day... I was gonna head over to the gym but it looks like its going to rain at any moment and seeing as ill be walking like 3.5km just to get to the gym with Aiden I really dont wanna get caught in a storm so ill hold off til tomorrow and workout here at home today lol Well thats about it! Have a good day everyone!

Good evening, ladies. It's been a tiring day. (I just read what I wrote last night and I said the exact same thing...ha!) The shoes I wore today were very uncomfortable and that can mess your whole day up...ugh. I've had a pretty relaxing evening though, thank goodness. The scale was down this morning, so yay, but I don't record anything until Friday, so hopefully, it will keep going down.

Torito - I so know what you mean about the girls being full of drama. It just gets on my nerves. I just try to ignore it all and NOT get involved.

Candice - I'm sorry your family isn't very supportive. Thanks for rooting for me.

Got a glimpse of 139 the other day...let's hope it stays!

Nothing new with me, still busy. Blah. I'm watching news feed on the tornadoes in texas right now...CRAZY. One camera picked up the tornado lifting tractor trailers right off the ground. I hope people will be okay and be able to recoup from this!

on a brighter note....BASEBALL SEASON STARTS TOMORROW!! I'm a HUGE Phillies fan, so I warn you now that I may talk about them a lot

Claire: When I'm really into eating healthy and exercise, I barely drink because I look at both sides. If I drink, it'll set me back with my weight loss and I'll feel too crappy the next day to work out. If I don't drink, I'm that much closer to my goal, I feel good, and I can work out. Alcohol inhibits fat burning cells. But if you feel the need to feel unorganized, I've always done diet coke and rum...for two reasons: 1 oz. of rum is about 80 calories, so you're only consuming 80 calories per cup (KEEP TRACK), and apparently you get drunk faster if you use diet soda instead of regular soda. And being a lightweight...I would have to agree with this from experience.

Shauna: keeping my fingers crossed for you that the scale stays down for friday! I've been tired too..I can't wait for friday! I bet you can't either

candice: house hunting!!! so exciting!!!!! Enjoy it, and I hope you two pick out a winner!

torito: hope your midterm went alright! I hate off running days!! It's a total bummer! I'm sorry about your nephew's diagnosis. Theres so many programs, schools, and assistance that can be provided for children with autism all over the spectrum, so hope is not lost! It can be very difficult and challenging, but extremely rewarding!

Icon: I think the run does sponsor something, but I forget what it is. Keeping my fingers crossed about the job!! I'm currently and impatiently waiting to hear back from a job interview I had almost 2 weeks ago. They said they wouldn't be calling for 2-3 weeks so it should be any time now!

Ugh i woke up yesterday full of cold and 200g up, I just felt like strangling something lol. Especially since I i had done really well eating wise the day before AND drank a lot of water. ARG. Screw it, its easter sunday, I'm having chocolate for breakfast.

In other news, my interview on thursday went ok I think. They said that they would get back to me early next week which makes this the LONGEST WEEKEND EVER. I hope I get it, it seemed like a really nice place and having a job would give me a nice routine back, maybe I would finally get exercising better and eating on plan. Its hard when you're at home- if you take your lunch to work, thats all you've got. If you're at home, you can always snack on something off plan. I suppose thats not really a good excuse, but still. It would help.

candice- sorry about the bloat!

Samma- thanks for keeping your fingers crossed! I am too >.< I am excited for you about baseball! I dont really watch a lot of sports, but I am excited about the olympics so I can feel your excitement a little bit

Shauna- hope your weigh in was good!

torito- thanks! Have you ever seen the TV show Miranda? I was trying very hard not to do "a Miranda" lol. Definitely should push yourself if you want to- theres nothing like a big goal to motivate you! And it'll feel great to finish as well. Make sure you have good shoes! And stretch! How did your other midterms go? Hope you get reinbursed for your babysitting soon- sounds like it would be lovely to do, but these things are never easy when you have to drive, its so expensive!

Sgregg- I will be so glad to get a job simply because it will mean no more job hunting!

Hey y'all! I don't even remember my weigh-in from Friday, so I didn't post it in the Bikini Ready challenge either. Oh well. I'm hoping for a better week this week. The elem. school was out today, so yay! I got to stay home and do nothing. It was great. I took the kids to the babysitter and I slept...until 2pm!! Ahhh!! Now, I'm not tired and I really should be since I have to get up at 5:15am. Oh well, I'll survive. It will just be an early morning and I'll have to run on coffee.

Icon - heard anything yet?

Candice - Ugh...I hate bloating too. Hopefully, it goes away for you soon. Found a place yet?

Samma - I'm not a huge fan of baseball unless I know someone playing. But anyway, maybe the Phillies will have a good season this year. My husband is a Cubs fan. My son is playing coach-pitch ball this summer...that's about as much baseball as I can handle right now. Haha! Are you still seeing 139??

Rie - WHERE ARE YOU??!! Hope things are well!

HIIIIII SGREGG!!!!! I'm sorry I've been super lame with posting in here, it's been a bit of a crappy week! Been working loads since it's Easter holidays and all the kiddies want to see the filmies.

I've not worked out in a WEEK either! And I can't seem to find the motivation TO work out!! BUT I MUST! For it is my birthday on Friday and no doubt I'll be eating terribly for 2 days!

I'm 2 lbs away from healthy though, so that's something!!

Why is it that on the days when I have work and my night class I am suddenly craving a workout? Those are the days when it's hard to find time for it! So annoying! Especially once you throw homework into the mix. I'm jealous of the people I see out running when I'm driving home from work....even though I'm not a runner.

Yesterday was an *awesome* day at work. Today isn't bad so far.
How about y'all? Everyone's week going well?

Hey ladies. I went through my diet plan last night and after trying to work out how to get more of each food group more I realised something. I really don't eat that many vegetables! Grains I get PLENTY. Protein...meh, could be a bit better. But veg? It's non existent in my diet. I'm not a veggie person, I'm very much a graaainnn person! So I've made a promise to myself that after this week I will start eating salads more.

Sometimes when I have to work evenings I'll eat what I have for lunch for dinner and have eggs on toast for lunch. The problem is that's 4 slices of bread in a day. So if I start having salads with egg in then I can get my veg and protein in for the day. It's going to be tough, because honestly I get super lazy and can't be bothered preparing salad! But I know I need it. I know my skin and hair will look and feel better too.

So veggie me up baby!

I'm going to admit it out loud here. I haven't worked out in a week and a half. And I'm supposed to be 10K training! Eep! I'm going to suck it up and get out there today rain or shine. No more excused, a 3 mile run must be done today! If I can run today, tomorrow and Saturday then I can get all my runs in for this week. If I can get a cross training session in on Sunday then even better.

Luckily my weight hasn't gone up, I'm lingering around on the 152 lbs - 2 LBS AWAY FROM HEALTHY!! Crazy. I can't believe I'm almost in the 1freakin40s!

samma - I pass through Philadelphia airport every time I go to America (apart from once where it was Chicago) and I laughed heartily when I saw It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia merchandise in a shop. I loved that show! Not so much now...it got a bit weird, but the earlier seasons are so funny. Please tell me you've seen it?!

candice - and water water water to help with bloat!

hopeful - Welcome! Get yourself a good exercise and diet plan and just rock it up until June. I wouldn't personally set yourself a goal weight or a goal weight loss each week because you might put unnecessary stress on your shoulders and it could even make you gain!

QB - Would you ever consider running? It's so free and you don't need to go at a certain time you just go out and freakin run your socks off!

rie: I LOVE always sunny!! It's a freaking riot! I agree that it's gotten a little weird too, but I still love it!

Well...this was the week from ****. I had absolutely no energy or time to go to the gym at all, and I sure wasn't caring about what I ate, though it wasn't horrible...except for thursday. I do know that my weigh in tomorrow will be a big slap on the back of the hand. I'm starting fresh today, going to the gym soon.

The support I was getting was very short lived. As soon as I got up this morning, my mom wanted me to run to Wawa (a convenience store) for coffee...and a box of chocolate donuts. It pisses me off when she gets those things because they're delicious, and because she eats the whole box in 2 days. So I lied about there not being boxes, and got her a small package that only holds 2 donuts instead. I'm very sneaky.

The Phillies game was fun on Thursday. It was dollar dog night so....I ate 5 dogs. And had 3 beers. And it was delicious. My boyfriend surprised me with a philly phanatic dangle hat (google exactly that and you'll see what I mean). My birthday is on tuesday, and although he's taking me out for a weekend in Philly, he wanted to get me an actual physical gift. So while I thought he was running to the bathroom, he went and got this hat instead, and sneaked up behind me and put it on my head. It was hilarious!

I'm thinking of getting a haircut today, but I don't know what to do. I've always had long hair and side swept bangs, but I'm just getting bored with it. I don't want to cut my hair short (although I miss short hair, I will regret that decision right away!) I guess there isn't much for me to do except maybe get layers. Blaahhh. I'll figure it out!

Hello everyone!

I'm very new to 3FC and have recently discovered the 20-something thread area. It seems like you all have such a great supportive group going on here, and I'd love to join in if nobody minds!

Let me introduce myself - my name is Amanda, I'm 22 years old and live with my boyfriend in Washington state. I work as a Pre-K teacher and love every second of it! What brings me here is the need to lose about 50 lbs ... I currently weigh in at 200 lbs and want to get back to 150, what I was in high school. For whatever reason, I almost completely stopped thinking about diet & exercise in college and am now realizing the consequences of that.

I want to get in better shape and be a healthier person in general. I think a huge obstacle in doing this has been a lack of support (my bf is not a big exerciser and we don't have enough schedule coordination to work out together, and my whole family lives on the East Coast so no help there.) I also haven't really made any friends since moving to WA so I've been feeling a bit lonely! My hope is to come here for support as I try to change my diet/exercise lifestyle.

My bf's family is in town this weekend from Oregon so I am waiting until Monday to begin my full force program. As for diet, it's worked in the past for me to eat 6 smaller meals throughout the day & really work hard at curbing my sweet tooth. Anyone else have success with the 6 meal a day approach? Any advice on that topic would be much appreciated. I'll also be logging everything I eat into MyFitnessPal & will try to use that to stay under the allotted # of calories for me.

My exercise plan for now is to start out with 1-2 weeks of cardio yoga alternated with some plain walking workouts (i.e. Leslie Sansone) 6x a week. After that, I'd like to add some more robust workouts like step aerobics and Jillian Michaels' stuff.bI am not sure if this is the best plan, so any advice here is also most welcome.

Well, thank you all for creating such a wonderful support group; I'm looking forward to succeeding together with all of you!

We seem to be quiet this month… hope everyone had a good easter

Candice Thanks I’m super excited. We’re going to peurto vallarta. I do try and tell her no when she’s over, but she just says “I promise” (like she’ll stop touching it) or “ok” then goes right back to it. I get extremely frustrated with her, and her mother because she watches her for around 5 minutes then doesn’t care what she’s getting into.
Having choices for houses is better than getting stuck in one you don’t like
Samantha yay on 139s! and baseball season! I’m sorry to hear you had a bad week, and you’re very smart to be sneaky! I wish I could do that to my mom, she wanted sushi for dinner last night and I asked if she wanted me to order it and she said no so she ended up getting 3 giant rolls. Grrr, obviously she didn’t finish all of them but I’m sure she overate. I know I can’t/shouldn’t control her but I just want to help.
Glad you had a good time at the game and you’re boyfriend sounds sweet. I’m getting my hair done soon and I’ve also always had longish hair with sideswept bangs, and my hair dresser is so expensive I only go to her a few times a year so my hair looks the same most of the year. I’m thinking of doing shorter with blonde highlights and layers. I’ve also thought about straight across bangs but I remember having them as a kid and I got wings at the side and flippin hated them
icon glad to hear about your interview. No I haven’t heard of Miranda – I’ll have to remember to check it out once school stresses die down. All my midterms (12 down, 1 to go) went really well except for the physics. I’ve stayed above 80%, with the majority being in the low 90s.
sgregg oh wow! I have a love hate relationship with sleeping in that late. Actually I don’t think I’ve done that since my partying days, even now sleeping in for me is only an hour. But its still enjoyable for a day off.
hopefulchick welcome!
quiet I know what you mean about being jealous of other people working out, I’ve seen so many runners out with their clubs lately! Glad to hear you had a awesome day at work!
Riestrella don’t forget salads aren’t the only way to get more veg in! I used to hate veggies, but even ones I don’t really like I seem to enjoy now. You can do it!! 2 more lbs! Go on those runs, and enjoy them!
ak812 welcome! Sounds like you had a good plan to get you started!

Well I’ve been trying to keep my head in the books again, and I’ve actually done fairly well this weekend. I only have 1 midterm left so I’m getting antsy. My easter was good, had family over for easter dinner and I managed to eat exactly what I had planned for. Actually my brother even said to me “you’re eating again?!” when I went to get my protein bar at 8pm because he was still so full from dinner.
I got in a huge fight with my brother and his wife because they treat my house (I live with my parents but pay rent/buy my own groceries) as a grocery store and I went to have my cereal and they had taken it all. Now I have to make a special trip to the states next weekend to go get more. I’m still angry with them, even when I was yelling at them I was like “you’re not even going to apologize”, and they didn’t. HELLO.. that’s the time when you say sorry… ugh anyways.
My weight has been doing ok… I’ve been following my plan and I seem to lose a bit of weight by Friday then slowly gain it back over the weekend but the only difference is it’s my rest days. I only gain back like .4 of a lb but it’s still hard to not let bother me. I know I need to focus more on the bigger picture then "I've only lost ___ lbs this week".
Today was the sun run (a hugely popular 10k race), I had plans to run it except it is in the middle of midterms, it’s expensive for just a 10k, and is way too busy for my liking but my BIL did it with my 8 year old nephew and he finished in under an hour!! I’m so proud of him. He got 451/1261 in his age group (which is under 15)
