Im also not too far from onderland. I weighed in at 202 today and was really disappointed in myself.

I would like to be 180 before Christmas, but I'm having doubts right now. We'lll have to see.

Glad to see all the support going on in here!

i have 34lbs to onederland so i'm thinking valentines day.
So that's 13.5 weeks away = 2.5ish lbs per week. I thinks it's doable if I can just sleep through Christmas and New Year lol.
If i could get to 196 that'd be extra awesome - out of danger red obese to overweight orange
well you know what they say : "aim big" (or in our case 'small' lol)

Oh, yeah. I think that's 100% doable! I'm reaching for a similar number too. I'm hoping to reach my goal weight of 165 by mid to end of feb. That's 39 pounds I still need to lose. We CAN TOTALLY do this!!

It's 10 pounds at a time for me too right now. If I set a time related goal and I don't make it, I know it will really mess me up. I would rather just focus on eating healthy, working out, and doing everything I can to get this weight off. I don't care if it takes me 6 months or 2 years...as long as it comes off and stays off.

I'm in! I'm at 211 right now. I'm hoping somewhere around Christmas to reach 199.

A BMI chart? There are several places on the Internet that have information/calculators for BMI - you can just do a web search. Personally, I like the NHLBI site. http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/

i wish my mindset was more like yours but i get too easily impatient/discouraged- i have to resist weighing myself daily because to see my weight loss in such small increments makes the task seem really daunting to me.
Having 3FC users be predominately American has actually helped with that though because you guys count you weight in lbs rather than stone (i'm British) so progress in terms of numbers seems more noticeable/significant

216, not sure when I'll get to under 200, but I'm certainly looking forward to the day! I'm telling myself 210 by Christmas (I'm slow, lol), I'd love to hit 199 by Februrary-ish.

Glad for this thread!

Hang in there. It looks like you've already made a lot of progress.

Your comment about stone/pounds is interesting. I normally count in pounds, since that's what I'm used to and it's easy, but sometimes I like to use stone just to jazz things up. Saying I've lost another 7 lbs/2.5% or 14 lbs/5% of my weight can get kind of boring and sound like it's not much, but MAN - saying I lost half a stone or a STONE - that just sounds like a lot! Of course, I am pretty easily amused....

I'm in! I was in onderland last summer and then let Mommyhood and a not so great work situation derail my progress. Back on track for me! I am at 228 today. Focusing on getting below 220 right now with a long term goal of 180. I want to be under 200 and pretty close to goal by next Aug when I do Warrior Dash but I can't stress about that or I will get all neurotic! Haha
