Maggie, welcome to the post and congratulations on losing 50 pounds. That's really amazing work. You're so close to your goal weight, so I know you won't be in the 150s for long. |
I've been stuck in the 160s since may, unable to move anywhere. This month I switched to a new birth control pill, and suddenly I'm down to 158 today! I haven't even been to the gym in a month because of work and school, but I got to see that on the scale this morning. I've never been in the 150s in my adult life, so I'm way excited. :)

Chanticleer - wow! Great job on the 50lbs! Thats such an accomplishment. I stalled for a long while too at 155lbs, it took me months and months to finally break through. The silver lining as you already mentioned is at least I can maintain. It gets discouraging sometimes to stall but such is the name of the game. I stall quite often actually, usually when I get to the lower end of the decade and then I woosh through rather quickly to the next stall.
lulubellebc - ohhh I hope so too :)) Thanks. Im most likely going to push for 130 by summer, I dont think I'll be satisfied at 140lbs. Kelli21 - congratulations on getting to the 150's! That was a milestone for me too. Last time I was in the 150s was in high school so I know the feeling of seeing it in adult life!! :)) An update on me - I finally got a scale and have been weighing in at 144.6 for the past couple days so I'm going to accept that as the accurate number. Im so relieved it didn't go up any higher than that since I was eating out a lot during my move to the east coast and also while moving all the stuff back into our apartment with my husband. Now that we're all settled in, I'm glad to be cooking again. :)) Guess I better go adjust my tracker now to 144.6! |
I've been making it down to the early 140s and shooting back up to the early 150s! I figure it's because I keep reaching the weight range where I'm not totally satisfied with my weight, but I feel that it's good enough. But I don't want to settle for good enough, I want to reach my full potential. I just need to keep myself accountable.
|
Ramra - just keep with it! Fluctuations are a pain in the rear end but as long as you don't give up you'll break through eventually :))
My update for today - I weighed in this morning at 143.6! Im not changing my ticker just yet because I was throwing up all evening yesterday so I think my 1 lb loss has to do with water loss. =) |
Weighed in at 156 this morning, which means I’ve lost 40 pounds! Woohoo! :yay:
|
I'm kind of wondering.. the past two days I've spent packing and christmas shopping.. and went off the wagon a bit by eating two bowls of cream of chicken soup, and two brownies. Today I weigh myself and I'm up 3 lbs to 160.8! Is the weight from so much activity (lifting and moving heavy boxes) or did my little splurge really land me back in the 160s? :(
|
Kelli21 - I would take it as sodium/water retention or something. 2 bowls of soup is not enough to gain 3 pounds! (3500/calories x 3 = 10,500 calories). I don't think you ate 10,500 extra calories to gain those pounds. Keep us updated!
Well after about a week at 144.8, I weighed in today at 143.8! Yay |
I was really worried about my xmas indulgence swinging me back into the 160's BUT I've actually lost 1lb(?!) and am sitting at 158lbs :D
|
going2Bhealthy - wow losing during the holidays is awesome!! Good job!! I on the other hand gained 2 lbs...eeek!!
Im hitting the gym hard tomorrow, going to the west coast in a couple of weeks with my husband to see family and friends and I want to look the best that I can!! |
Hi Guys!!!
I'm back! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand i'm 152. :'( I am so sad because in the late summer/early fall I got down to 146.something!!! i can't believe i'm 6 lbs up in 6 months. I'm hoping to see 149 relatively soon. I think I planned a more realistic and nutritious diet out for myself this time around. I'm not ODing on protein, and I'm not ODing on cutting carbs, so I'm hoping this time works. Instead of eating 1500 calories a day, i'm eating 1700. I just felt like total crap when eating 1500 calories. I'd rather lose it slowly and gradually, because I know the slower I lose it, the more likely I will be to keep it off. I know as I lose weight I will have to decrease my caloric intake, but for the first month, I think 1700 is where I should stay. *Any suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated though!* :) I would LOVE to feel confident in a swimsuit this summer. I figure if I can reach 125 in 25 weeks, that'd be awesome. That makes June 30 the day I am hoping to step on the scale and see 125 or something close to it! I started today. I dont want to disappoint myself again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Lifehouselover - I'm with you! I too gained weight back when I stopped for awhile, had gotten back on track and then Christmas and traveling hit! It's a process tho, hoping to get to 135 by May 1st! We can do it =)
|
Krizstyling!!! - Yes, we can do this. That's exactly what happened to me. I had a lot of change in the early fall mostly because I moved into my own apt at the start of october. Then, once I got settled in, BAM it was the holidays. Even though I wasn't super out of control, I wasn't exactly being strict haha. 135 by May 1 sounds like a fantastic goal! Let's do this! :)
|
I keep going between 162 and 158. I usually weigh myself everyday at the same time. Today I was 161.8, yesterday I was 157.9. I didn't even eat 4lbs of food yesterday! Now that I'm all moved and settled it's definitely back to the gym tomorrow. I have no excuses, it's right across the street now..
|
Hello everyone! I'm coming over from the 160s thread. I've been weighing in at 158 for awhile now so I think I'm safe to switch:) My mini goal is to break into the 140s because I haven't seen them since my first pregnancy!
