That's awesome- compliments always put a little pep in your step, huh?
One that always stands out in my mind was from my brother-in-law. He likes to joke and tease a lot and is one of the few people I know who will very openly comment on weight/appearance (gotta love those cultural differences!). One day he looked at me and said something like "Wow, you're really cutting weight!" and I tried to deflect it, saying, "Well, I'm trying." His response was "No, you're not trying! You're
doing it! Look at you!" It snapped me into reality a little bit and really made me
own all my hard work. I
am doing it- he's right!
It also made me feel pretty good this afternoon when my trainer was telling me how much my hard work was paying off and how much I'm improving. Then he set up a little number called a "hamstring negative" (there's only your hamstrings between you and a faceplant into a bench) and I wasn't too thrilled about that anymore
