Default warrior dash

any one ever participated in warrior dash?

I saw some pics from one that just recently happened and I think its looks awesome! I just dont know if I would be able to do it.

Just wondered if anyone has done it and could tell me what kind of athletic abilities you need to complete it.

there is one coming up in September around me and I was thinking if I can (and if I can talk the bf into it haha), I might want to try it!

I am participating in the Warrior Dash in Minnesota this coming July 23rd. Lord help me...what have I gotten myself in to? When I signed up over the winter it seemed like a great idea...the closer it gets the more worried I become =)

I did a similar event (Rugged Maniac) this spring and would highly suggest going with a group of people. Most of the obstacles weren't terribly difficult, but I got separated from my group at the beginning and then there was a bottleneck at the first couple of obstacles so I didn't find them again until the end, which made some of the obstacles frustrating. The toughest thing for me was going over the barricades, especially the really tall ones, but if you're in a group you can help each other through the obstacles if necessary. It was a ton of fun and I would definitely recommend it!

Iianae, a couple of my friends are doing it in Minnesota too! I know that they trained hardcore with steps on stadium bleachers because the last leg of the race runs up one of the ski slopes. Good luck to all!

My sister competed in one a few weeks ago, and her comment was that it was a lot tougher than she thought it would be- she almost didn't finish. She's athletic (teaches spinning classes, at the gym often), so I expect it to be a challenge. But I also think it depends on your personal goals- a lot of people do it just to say they did and to have fun rather than to compete. Just go at your own pace and have a buddy to help you out!
