jumelle, the new Weight Watchers has been a life-saver! My mom has been doing it for the last year, and now I think she might weigh less than me. WW has been so liberating for me. I've been at it for about 4 days and have already lost 3 pounds without feeling like I've been restricting myself. With South Beach, fruits, bread, pasta and chocolate were pretty much off limits, which is what I struggled with. My fiance makes some killer food - lasagna, spaghetti sauce, garlic mashed potatoes - and I would always just have a tiny taste and then look back at my lettuce salad and stab it with my fork. Now I can eat anything I want! Last night I had one portion of spaghetti noodles (1 cup, which is a lot more than it seemed!) and 1.5 portions of bolognese sauce with a side of steamed asparagus and was completely satisfied. I even had my homemade strawberry shortcake for dessert and I'm still going to be under my weekly point allowance. I never could have eaten that on SBD during phase 1 or phase 2. Plus, now with the new WW formula, you get activity points. For example, I went on a brisk 40 minute walk yesterday, so I got 3 more points for the week. I'm really excited to see what happens with this.

Aw things are not good at the moment, i pulled a muscle near my hip and i have ben out of action for 2 weeks, so i was ok-ish with my food choices but after 2 fun filled weekends and alcohol and hangover food ahhhhhhh and ultimately a gain...
anywaz, the injury inhibits running, but now that i am on the mend i am going to start fresh tomorrow morning and get a JM work out done tomorrow and eat healthy.. My birthday is coming up and i refuse to be in a gaining slump

hope everyone is fying it

Kiaratari i am also on for the second one of these.. i find that i am more accountable if i have to update daily and i have guilt filling in each day that i have been inactive..

curlysue82, looking good. I can tell you I'm jealous of your 3 mile jog. I can barely do a mile at the moment, but I'll tackle that soon.

kariatari, that is fantastic! I'm definitely going to look into Weight Watchers soon. I'd join in a month or two, but I'm kind of strapped for cash right now, so I'll probably do it in the beginning of the year when they're doing a deal for all of the folks with a New Year's Resolution lol.

Wooooooo!! Down to 166!! I know, that's only 6 lbs lost over the whole challenge, which definitely is not much, but I'd been getting stuck at 167 doing South Beach. I'd get sick of no carb and then go ***** about itw w/ my friend (who just recently lost 60 lbs going no carb, and has recently switched to low cal for the last part of her weight loss) over margaritas and a bottomless bowl of chips.

Now I'm only one pound an a 25 minute run away from getting new running shoes. Huzzah!

kariatari, thanks. It's hard and in the past I was discouraged easily if I didn't see huge losses. This time is different, though. I feel really great about every loss whether it's big or little and even when I don't lose anything. I'm doing this for me and I'm finally putting me first and not food. It's great.
