Sometimes if i'm craving sweets I'll have a healthy packet of oatmeal (apple cinnamon or maple brown sugar). It really helps me plus it is great fuel for your body!

As a recovering binge eater, I say, eat the cookie. Buy the one that you want (under no circumstances should you make a batch!), sit down, and fully enjoy it. You can account for the calories today, or take them out of tomorrow's allotment. Depriving yourself of a reasonable amount of indulgence is begging for a big fat binge, at least for me it would be!

PS: The Alternative Baking Company (ABC cookies I think) makes amazing vegan cookies. They're about 480 calories for a big giant one, but they don't have preservatives and they really fill you up. I indulge in one about every week, and have it as a meal with a big cup of iced coffee. You can usually find them at health food stores or if you live in a coastal city, any artsy coffee shop.
