Default Gained back twenty pounds!

Hey ladies,

I'm not sure if anyone remembers me around here, but I haven't been around since last July. I'm not sure exactly how it happened, but I've managed to gain twenty pounds back. I was three pounds... Three pounds away from hitting under that 200 mark, and it seemed like I just let the rest of life get in the way. I'm now 20 pounds heavier, in the stress of senior year at college, living away from my trusty treadmill, and I've got a new fella with my same love of Chinese food.

I just can't believe how quickly the weight came back on and just how sneaky it was. A little slip here, a little slip there, and suddenly I'm hurdling down the same Moon Pie chute, trying to squeeze myself back into my shorts from last summer, just to see... Needless to say, only one pair still fits correctly.

Starting last time seemed so easy. One day I woke up and said, "Okay. Here's what we're gonna do," and I was amazed when I actually did it. It was, "Holy ****. I'm actually doing this!" This time seems so much harder for some reason, and I can't even tell you why exactly. Maybe it's the discouragement of falling off the calorie count wagon, I don't know.

Either way, I'm back here, with hopefully some lessons learned. My goal right now? Lose the weight I gained back and a little bit more by this summer.

It's not an easy task that's for sure! Losing weight is harder then a damn break up and having the person who you love stab you in stomach, rip your heart out and stomp on it 15 times.

The main thing is you decided to come back. I fall off the band wagon lots of times! I'm sure a lot of people do as well. It's not an easy journey it's about life style changing and it's not going to happen over night! Good luck to you, amazing support is here thats for sure!

Thanks for all the welcome backs everyone. This place was an immense help last time, and I know it's going to be again this time. I think I just got too cocky last time. I was making little slip-ups here and there, not watching as well, and yet still losing weight. I just let myself slip up too much and then fall completely off the wagon. I always said that I would never do that, but I guess one should never say never.

Whenever I feel like I can't do something thats when you have to TELL yourself YOU CAN DO IT. Do whatever it takes, even yell inside your head at yourself that YOU WILL DO IT. Start walking and cutting back those cals. You may love chinese food but do any of the meals like lean cuisine or weight watchers offer a similar item? Yeah it may not be as tasteful but its similar and healthier for you. Try and see if your new guy friend would be willing to eat somewhere different to help motivate you. Get a friend to walk with you or maybe your school has a gym inside. There is tons of motivation out there you just have to do what is best for you.

Gaining weight is a lot easier than it looks! I gained 10lbs in 6 months due to moving to the South and being introduced to deep-fried everything!!! It was horrible but sooooo good!!! LOL

Glad you're back tho - we'll be here to help you through the struggles and cheer you through your victories
