Now, when you say her 'you know what' so many things come to mind.

Without being crass, was it a um... 'tightening' procedure? haha (her husband should like her anyways if he married her, you shouldn't have to have surgery to get someone to love you)

The raw food girl sounds like she was eating few too many calories and was learning bad habits from her mom. This is why I embarked on eating better and losing weight, I'm getting married and will be having kids at some point. I want to be a good role model to them!

I've been guilty of the 'well I messed up that meal, so I'll eat whatever I want and start again tomorrow', but not for a long time I never have 'oopsies' anymore, but if I know a tough meal is coming up that I'll have to eat at I'll plan ahead by making my other meals healthier to compensate.

I'm glad to know we have such smart chicks on this site!

When I was in my teens i was always writing food plans and diaries. I found one of these the other day and read through it. One plan I wrote when I was 17 went " I will not eat ANYTHING for a week, then will just eat fruit and vegetables and a little meat for second week. Repeat no food week, repeat Fruit&veg week and so on"
Flip, No wonder I got to 260lbs! I'm so glad I grew out of that sort of thinking.

Yeah, it's pretty sick. I'd say most women here are on the low end of the "healthy" range. No need to push them into thinking they need to be in the "anorexic" range to look good.

The best part is that all those ads boast about how dieters can eat whatever they want. Um, no. You can't eat much at all to get that thin!

Yep! It sure was! Some women can't help but feel very insecure.

My sister did a raw spinach and water diet... she lost 80lbs and, of course, immediately gained it all back.

Those commercials afor the "cookie" diet are about the dumbest thing ever, LOL. They've got that song about "who took a cookie from the cookie jar?"

I had a guy tell me to try that diet right after I had just told him I lost 125 lbs on WW. Thanks for the advice, LOL.

I have heard of this one type of food you choose for a month, and you can eat just that for a month. I even had someone tell me that it works and even if I chose to eat fried eggs for a month, just fried eggs and in as much quantity I wanted I will lose like 4 kg within a month. I think this is somehow gross.

I was a mess in HS. I remember eating nothing but melba toast and cream cheese for WEEKS. I cannot believe my mother allowed it.

My father is insane. Like really. He gains weight all year until he gets to a point where he feels he's too heavy and then he will eat NOTHING but cabbage until his weight has gone back down. Rinse and repeat EVERY single year. It drives my mother crazy. He smells awful when he does it and is SO cranky. It can't be good for you! The whole rest of the year he tries to eat healthy all day. He'll eat an apple for lunch and half a sandwich. Then he comes home and falls apart and eats like 3,000 calories worth of junk food after dinner. He's always talking about ways to lose weight and telling me how unhealthy my diet is... it makes me laugh.
