Default For those that don't count calories or do a program...

Hey guys! I do NOT count calories, it has never worked for me in the long run. Neither has nutri system or weight watchers. I've tried EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING BUT portion control, making small changes and working out. So I have started making a LIFESTYLE change and working out an hour a day, eating correctly, watching my portions and also holding myself accountable.

For this to work I realized I had to start a blog. I would LOVE IT if you shared your tips/advice and also read mine here:

I suggest starting at the very first entry (it was only last monday so not too far back).

All of the advice on this forum has been EXTREMELY helpful and some of your stories literally brought tears to my eyes. I only hope that I can be as inspiring.

I am NOT a calorie counter either. I have found that South Beach is what works for me. It teaches you about healthy options and eating healthy for life. I don't like programs like Nutri System as they prepare all of the food for you so when you are finished with the program, you are not going to know how to make a healthy meal for yourself.

Good luck on your journey! I started Blog on here. I don't update every day but it will be fun to go back and read when I'm done with my weight loss.

Also, I think that the first step in losing weight/getting healthy is finding what works for you. I've battled my weight all of my life and nothing worked for my until SB. I've been on it since March and am perfectly happy to continue. I can really feel that it is becoming a lifestyle change and not just a quick fix to lose 20 pounds.

Same here I don't count calories I just try to eat "healthy" I have a blog too the link is below it's called hot for Halloween but I'm still gonna have a ways to go after that, see yah in the blogger world good luck

Thank you ladies! Feels good to know I'm not alone in the "not counting calories" department. If it takes that as I get lower and lower in my weight, I'll do it, but I'm not going to count calories for the rest of my life. For me, it just doesn't work.

I really appreciate all of you who took time to read the blog! I had the most hits today. I do blog everyday so it means a lot to be accountable!

I will def be checking out your guys' blogs!!!

SAME HERE. I feel like if I have to check in with my blog then I stay good.. and the days I dont check in is when i cave in and cheat and be bad..

Totally agree Jessica!

Well, tomorrow will have been 3 weeks of Bootcamp!!! It feels AMAZING to know that I have begun something which I can NEVER imagine quitting! I cannot believe I've wasted so much of my life by NEVER EVER EVER EVER exercising.

My blog has now changed into something that when I started 3 weeks ago, I never thought I'd get to....it's crazy! Thank you 3FC ladies!
