I wear Danskos 95% of the time and flip flops 4% of the time. I started wearing these types of shoes because when I was 40 lbs heavier, it was really hard for me to sit and bend over to put on socks and tie my shoes. I HATED sneakers. I would only wear them while hiking with hubby (which was about 2 times a year when we went camping) and I never actually untied them because I couldn't physical sit and bend to re-tie them.
Well, I was putting on my sneakers yesterday for my walk and while I was sitting and bending over I realized not only 1.) could I do it, but 2.) it felt good to do it and 3.) there wasn't nearly as much stomach in my way while doing it and 4.) I was flexible enough to do it! I was sooo happy, I got up and did a dance with my doggies and only 1 shoe on!
They probably thought I was nuts...but it made me feel so good! And then when I put on my sneakers for the second time yesterday, I made hubby watch. He was like, yeah...so what? Obviously he never noticed the trouble I had putting on socks and sneakers...
But yay for me!
