I wear a 34DD in normal bras and just got a 34D Fiona from Moving Comfort that I love love love. Got another one (same brand, different stlye) in 34C, but hate it so wish I could take it back. So maybe Moving Comfort runs a little small?
To get your band size, you measure under the bust, then add 5 if the number is 32 or lower, and 3 if the number is 33 or higher. Round up if you get an odd number.
This means that someone who measures 32 would have a bigger band size (32+5=37, round up to 38) than someone who measures 33 (33+3=36). How does that make any sense?
I always size down on sports bras. I need all the support I can get . I wear a 34DD bra and usually get 34D or sometimes even C sports bras. I want those babies squished down so they don't smack me in the face!
So out of curiosity. .. what ARE some good sports bras for the very *looks down* large? i am a 38DD and the sports bra i have now sux. I , too, usually size down just to get the added support but isnt there a good sports bra that will do this on its own accord?
I am also a 38DD and I found some great sports bras at Old Navy. They were having a sale so I bought one even though the only sizes they had were S-XL. I bought a L and its comfy and completely straps my babies DOWN.
I wear a size 44DDD in regular bras. The only sports bra I wear is by Enell (the bra the Oprah use to talk about). They take a few wearings to get use to because of the fit (11 hook and eyes in the front - I call it my corset) and are pricey, but I love the. I play volleyball in it and I don't move much at all, and I don't have the "unaboob" look either. Lift and separate!
The best sports bra, for me at least is the ENELL. It is my lovely chastity bra and is made out of an ever so attractive shiny white material, but it keeps the girls in gear. I'm a 36-38DDD and I wear a 3, however my boobs have gotten smaller but I haven't been resized (bad Effie) and so I think I need to move down to a size 2.
I used to love Enell, but now I sweat too much to wear them. They have zero moisture wicking, and mine was to the point where it wouldn't even dry overnight.
But it does totally lock your boobs down.
Moving Comfort is better for the wicking. And they are specially made for C/D+. You can get a MC Fiona on Amazon for about $30.
For those who size down, do you size down in the band size or the cup size?
My two favorite sports bras right now are a Title Nine and a Victoria's Secret. Just got the Victoria's Secret and it's a lot less expensive than the T9 or Enell for a similar result. I'm ~36D/DD (most recent measurement at VS was the latter) and I usually just wear two sports bras layered to do the smushing. The VS salesgirl was larger than I am (chest and otherwise) and she said she was buying Under Armour until VS came out with their line. Now was that the truth or a sales pitch...? I don't know, but it's been pretty good on my runs so far.
