I had New Balances, and just felt the "wore out" really fast! I love my nike shox But, since you don't do the nike thing, I have heard really good things about asics

I have a pair of Puma's, and I enjoy them... make my feet look big though, haha!

Asics or New Balance. I wear New Balance shoes and love them. My sister will not buy anything other than Asics shoes. She found a pair she really loved (cannot remember the style) and bought 4 pairs because she feared they would discontinue the style.

I run in New Balance--high 700's. Nike killed my feet and Adidas--well, ****..I might as well been running barefoot.

Glad you found a place- though RR told me they recommend I replace the shoes 1-2 times a year. I've found this to be true- I at least change up the insoles every few months.

Lissa - I used to love sketchers but every single pair I had always busted in the same place. It makes more since now because my feet roll inward toward my big toe and that's where the seems in my shoes would bust. So I finally got pissed off because I felt like they were poorly made. Those were the only brand that did that.

I ended up with a FABULOUS pair of Asics. They are the most expensive pair of shoes I've ever bought, but by far the most comfy! I left straight from the store and went to the gym. Plus they're kind of meshy so they're more light weight and my feet are a lot cooler!!!

Good choice! I LOVE Asics. I overpronate (my feet and ankles roll when I run or walk) so I got some motion control shoes and my knees and ankles have never felt better! That's what got me started running. I never thought I could before that because my old shoes made me hurt.

Bleh I worked for Skechers for 8 months...all I can say is NEVER wear them without socks! The biggest complaint we got when I worked there was the AWFUL smell that lingered in the shoes even after being worn a week. It was totally gross, and I think it had something to do with the rubbers they were using in the shoes. Skechers have always been to "clunky" for me to work out in anyway.
