  • My weigh in days are Fridays. I am counting calories , staying between 1400-1600. I have cut out added sugar, and have switched to whole wheat or whole grain wherever possible, but I have yet to cut white flour completely. I jog 2-3 miles a day when it is nice, or walk 3 miles on the treadmill ( I hate jogging on the treadmill) and do strength training every other day. I have been losing from 1.5 to 2.5 pounds a week so far with this plan , so I am sticking with it for now.

    -- i'm going to reassess this goal weight later on in a couple weeks.. i'm in another challenge for the end of april to be at 182.. but the end of may is 2 weeks before I head off to GREECE! i'm going to visit my family, and I want to be thinner than i've been! plus i'll be in a bikini at least 75% of my time there, so i thought might as well look my best so i can feel comfortable!!
    -- if i make it close to my 182lb goal for the end of April, i'll probably try to lose another 10lbs before the end of may to get myself to 172lb!

    CW: I think 145 pounds

    GW: under 140 pounds... maybe around 137? And stay there (not go lower than 135 or higher than 139) until Memorial day if I get there early. So, in a little over 2 months I'd like to lose between six and ten pounds.

    I always feel like I know how to lose weight, but I end up getting too excited, eating too little or exercising too much, losing weight quickly but unhealthily and feeling like I am torturing myself after a while of that, and rebounding and rebelling by stopping all healthy behaviors I had gone overboard with (ie healthy eating and exercise)! So, I am trying to go as slowly as possible, and NOT go to extremes. As long as I am sane and treating myself well, I will be happy.

    My plan? Making sure I get 45 minutes of some sort of activity in each day, and eating according to my calorie needs... which according to the internet is about 1650 if I want to lose a pound each week. (so trying not to eat too far over or too far under--if I eat 2500 calories one day... I eat 1650 the next. If I eat 1000 calories one day... I eat 1650 the next. If I try to compensate for days over or under, I'll end up overcompensating. I know this from experience.)

  • I'm in!! I was just writing down my exercise schedule through then since I am doing my very first race that day!! A 10k so I'm gonna be a running fool the next couple of months. I lose super slow so I'm going to set my goal as oh...lower 140's somewhere...lets say 143

    My official weigh-ins are on Sunday, but I do weigh myself daily (or hourly depending on my mood, lol). My goal is 155 but I may change that in a few weeks depending on what my numbers are like. I turn 28 mid-May and I'd really really really like to be in a 'normal' bmi range by then (158 lbs). Hopefully I'll make that goal but if not 155 is even better.

  • Hi All! I'd like to join this challenge too!

    I'm aiming for a 20lb loss as this challenge is 10 weeks long and I really want to try my hardest to look better for the summer

    AndreaMarie, I think people usually post their weights on their own official weigh in days, you can post more or less often if you want.

    Today is not my official WI day but I am so excited because I've finally met my mini goal #3 and am in the 150's this morning!

    i usually post every couple days, when i have a change whether up or down! i also do post on my official weigh-ins, but it's all up to you when to post

    Every year, I always tell myself that I'm going to "get skinny by summer". And every year, summer rolls around and I'm no smaller. But THIS YEAR has been different. SKINNY SUMMER, here I come!!!
