Smile So.. where will my weight go?

I've never really thought of this until reading some of the stories on here. My body is fairly consistent all over. Meaning, fat everywhere! lol, with I suppose a little more in the stomach than other areas, but generally it is consistent all over and not concentrated in one spot. What will happen when I start to lose a significant amount of weight? Will my body change everywhere?? Thats what I always thought, but then reading stories.. (Someone can have a half of a muffin top?!) got me to really thinking.. Can you guys give me your opinions/stories on how your body was before weight loss and after?

I'd really appreciate it. Thanks

I was wondering about this too. But I think the weight comes off of different areas for everyone.

I second wanting to hear stories! It's kind of really scary not knowing what will happen to your body when it starts losing fat.

The skin part too. Loose skin, anyone? Or did someone make it through OK?

Everyone is different and loses in different ways. In the end, it should come off from everywhere. But initially, you might lose it from one place first then another, or you may be one of the lucky ones who evenly from all over. Personally, my hips and a** were the first to get smaller, then my face, then my belly. I mean, I didn't end up with any crazy proportions like tiny legs with my big belly still there. Just that my pants tend to get loose in the thighs and butt before I go down in waist size

Annie- this skin FAQ: http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/body...skin-faqs.html is a great spot for skin questions

I am thinking and desperately hoping that the loose skin just comes from not toning your body while losing fat and losing a significant amount of weight. probably 50+ or somewhere around there. I know when I was younger, my serious obese aunt had her stomach stapled and all that jazz, and the aftermath was almost worse =X stretch marks where i didn't even know stretch marks could exist! And skin you could hide yourself in ^_^

You don't have much to lose- people who seem to have loose skin issues are ones that have a LOT of weight to lose (100 or more lbs). Age can also affect how well your skin snaps back.

I know for me I lost a lot in stomach first, then hips/thighs seem to follow... My arms seem to be behind the rest of the gang I feel like they are HUGE now...

I think people tend to over think the loose skin thing. Really, you are going to be a smaller version of yourself, if that makes sense.

I lost in my belly first and my waist and butt last, so it wasn't a completely fluid process, but I didn't really notice that because I was just shrinking in general.

For me it was last in, first out. I'd lose from my belly, then my thighs and butt. I'm pear-shaped, so I think that makes sense (someone apple-shaped would be the opposite of me).

My skin on my stomach looked a bit loose for a few days, then tightened up. So don't get freaked out if you see something loose - it might be temporary. Your youth is on your side!

I have noticed that (so far) I have lost the most in areas where I carried the most. Which I think makes sense--if you have less to lose in certain areas the smaller changes aren't going to happen as fast and aren't going to be as noticeable as the bigger areas getting a lot smaller.

I carried weight all over, but in my eyes I seemed to carry extra in my hips & stomach. They have both shrunk pretty significantly (5.5-6 inches from my hips, 6 inches from my waist), whereas the areas that were big, but not as big lost less inches (3 inches from each arm, about 4 inches from each thigh).

As far as loose skin..in the beginning I thought that I was going to have really bad loose skin on my stomach...not because I was severely obese, but because of my pregnancies. But I have noticed that my skin is slowly tightening up as I go along. I may end up with a teeny tiny bit of loose skin around my incision area (c-section babies), but it won't be anything that I can't cover up easily...even in a bikini. My stretch marks are a different story (again, from pregnancy), but even those are getting so light that I can already tell they aren't going to be gross...or even that noticeable.

Hope that helps!

I'm really worried about loose skin.. I mean, I don't have over 100 lbs to lose and I'm young (21), but I'm still worried about it!! eek!!

And I'm *hoping* that my boobs don't get smaller. I don't know how they could, haha, but I really hope they don't....

For sure! I mean I want them to get a LITTLE smaller, as they'll need to blend in with my new body, but I can't imagine wearing an A or anything. (I'm practically a D)

Has anybody here like completely lost their boobs?!

It seems like people tend to lose weight unevenly if they gained weight unevenly. It sounds like you're like me - you gained weight fairly evenly - which means you'll most likely lose it the same way. My weightloss has been very even - as was my gain.

However, as others have said, it's different for everyone. It's basically just a wait-and-see thing. Ya never know really.

::raises hand::

I went from a very full 40 C to barely a B cup.

Frankly, I looked a little deflated.

I'll tell you what though, they have recovered best over time compared to other body parts. It's like a a whole new world and I love them

I lost a lot in my chest and my stomach, my upper half. I lost an entire cup size, and in my actual chest, you can see my collar bones and chest bones even in certain situations, which i dislike. As for where it has stayed; I'm a pear shape, so my extra body fat all staying in my hips and thighs.

Everyones different!

I agree with Amba - I've lost where I carried. My belly went first, and my butt and thighs kind of went along with the belly, but faster (probably because of how I exercise). Only now am I seeing my arms and calves go down, but I'm not worried about it.

I do NOT have loose skin. I've lost fairly slowly (or at least I think so) and I exercise. I think you'll be fine.
