Oops, my reply meant that someone sent "please drunk sex me" texts from MY phone. so I might sympathize with the guy a little bit. I guess I didn't get that across very well. stupid pain meds...

Pass... if he can't be bothered to call you after his "roommate" sent you those stupid texts, he can't be that interested.

Here's the thing I have learned: if a man is really interested, he'll call you. Texting an entire conversation is quite lazy. If he can't give you 50% effort, why bother? Obviously, we teach others how to treat us. Teach him it isn't ok to treat you like a passive interest. He sounds like an immature frat boy...

Thanks for your input ladies. And sacha, I wrote in there that he did call, but I didn't pick up. Anyhow, my friend is supposed to be investigating his side of the story sometime soon. If he shows the interest and continues to persue me in a non-creepy and sexual-text-free way, then I may go out with him in a group or double date setting. If he doesn't show any further interest or gets weird again, it's a no go.

He sounds immature. Even if it was his roommate, he should have chilled w/ the texts. If it was me, I'd delete his number and move on.

From personal experience... a guy that comes off as a douche like that... typically is. Especially guys in our age bracket. However... like others have said, you never know. I'd give him a chance and then see what happens from there. Creeper?... say goodbye!

Ashley, Darling, from my personal experience, when a guy flip flops like that and goes from being nice and "interested in you" to sex talk then back again when he gets no answer; he's usually after one thing and it's not getting to know you for your personality. Men say what they can to try and get us to let their guard down so that we less hesitant when it comes to laying on our backs. If you are wanting and okay with a physical relationship, I say go it but if not I suggest you stay away. A guy who is truly interested in you will neither bring up sex right away nor let his roommate send inappropriate texts to you. Just a my thoughts on the subject. I wish you the best in whatever you decide to do!

I would give him a chance, especially if you have a trusted friend vouching for him!

But I agree, pick a PUBLIC place to eliminate any physical expectations. You wont feel pressured to do anything you dont want to do. But coffee, mini golf, billiards, bowling... its fun, casual, doesnt set a pretense. And hey, if he is really that dumb- then... so what? You spent an afternoon doing something trivial with a moron. (For most people this is just an afternoon at the office) So no sweat? At least you found a little confidence and put yourself out there.

And as far as "blowing up your phone" I find a guy only does that when he's really interested. And he was probably really embarrassed by his friend's messages and was wanting to genuinely apologize. Which makes it hard to feel reassured when you dont get a response. kwim?
